Hi
please!
Is there a rom that support arabic language ( writing and reading )
for milestone.
I've tried cyanogen6
at first it's good but when i start to install apps. it gets slow and slow
so any other arabic supported rom?
many regards
( sorry for my language )
You can try Dexter's miui rom based on D1 that Dex released first which is available at http://dext3r.komodin.org/MIUI.ZIP. Please note that there are a few niggles with this ROM. Data network does not work. There is a workaround for the sd card issues. Look at this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833070&page=1
You can try the arabic pack available here.
http://djmcnz.batteryboss.org/MIUI/language/0.10.29/miui-n1-01029-Ar-pack-3-signed.zip
Try it at your own risk.
I'll try it
thank you for your fast reply
I'm not sure BUT I think the official ROM from Cellcom (Israel) has Arabic in it.
But again, I'm not sure.
If u don't mind
can u upload it?
It's over here http://and-developers.com/sbf:milestone
Look for the Cellcom 2.1
Don't be bummed out if it doesn't have arabic in it and you wasted your time flashing it.. Just a friendly warning
I'm just thinking it does because Cellcom has arab customers so some of their phones have arabic.
Are you looking at Froyo based ROM's (2.2 )? Because the one i mentioned is Froyo. The cellcom ROM that's mentioned is Eclair ( 2.1 )
Modified the title for you. Next time, please be more descriptive instead of "Please..." so that people don't open it and waste time unnecessarily. ;-)
hi
it doesn't matter either froyo or eclair rom
i just want a rom that support arabic
I'm sorry if I'm bothering you
Then i suggest you download the cellcom ROM as it is an official ROM. So you will not have any problems.
You can download it from this link
https://rsddownload.motorola.com/do...S003_USASHLS00RTRU_P022_A005_HWp2a_1FF.sbf.gz
There is also an arabia version. I don't know which area it covers. You can try that too. Can be downloaded from the links below.
https://rsddownload.motorola.com/do...03_USASHLS00RTARAB_P006_A011_HWp2a_1FF.sbf.gz
or
https://rsddownload.motorola.com/do...03_USASHLS00RTARAB_P011_A008_HWp2a_1FF.sbf.gz
Let us know if you suceed.
hi
thank you so much fido
i tried it and it's fantastic
full arabic support( i mean the arabic version not israel )
one more thing
could u tell about custom (modified) rom for eclair 2.1update-1?
i've tried motosense but the arabic letters become squares.
i don't know why or how to change it
thank you again
and i'm sorry for the embarrassment
I dont know if this will work for you, but try this link.

I've looked almost EVERYwhere and all the links to the 6.5 Arabic ROM are dead. I don't have a native Arabic TP2, so I can't just get it off of HTC's site. Can anyone share the ROM file? Or if you have an Arabic TP2, give me your serial so I can download it myself?
Thanks!
If you're only looking for Arabic read & write support, you could download one of the Energy ROMs and apply the MobiDiv Arabic customization pack. Sense will be able to display arabic characters in SMS or Email messages. And you could install FingerKeyboard to write in Arabic.
If you need the official Arabic ROM I have the file here but uploading it would take forever on my 256k connection!
However, if you really wish to try the official ROM I'd be glad to help you.. Just give me a note and I'll try to upload it next week.
Cheers..
It would be awesome if you could upload it. I want to make a custom ROM from it. I know that you can use the cabs to get the Arabic support, but I need Arabic EZinput packages for EZInput 2.1. Finger keyboard is good, but it's nice to have the native keyboard with Arabic support. IF you have a IME packges from the ROM, those would work too!
Sounds great! Even thought there's no Arabic EzInput keyboard on the official ROM. The only one you get is the xType keyboard from MobiDiv which is a total failure compared to FingerKeyboard.
Anyways, I'll try to upload it next week, I just need to find a fast and stable connection..
Well, if there really isn't, then leave it to me! I have EZInput 2.1 almost working perfectly with Arabic. I just want to see what that ROM has to help fix the issues I have.
Hello All,
Why Arabic language is not supported on all new custom ROMs (For people who want to benefit of newest features offered by these ROMs)
Is it hard for developers to add it?

same problem here.
in arabaic countries you can breng your tab to a samsung center and they upgrade it with some kind of a fix where you get the arabaic/farsi/mid east
fonts back. i have the same problem with farsi font.
tip
you can download persian browser. this is an app which shows the fonts the right way. also arabic websites
Any new rom is based on a rom that was released for a world region, so they don't usually contain languages for other regions.

Hi everyone,
As I bought Galaxy mini s5570 with Arabic support android Froyo 2.2, yesterday I was searching for 2.3 ROM which I downloaded and flashed it but it seemed as nothing happened ! then suddenly it bricked down so I've reflashed it then it succeeded but it was 2.2 ROM and no Arabic to read or write anymore ......
Now,I have some questions hope to help me:
0-Is there any 2.3 ROM for Middle-East arabic supported ?
1-If NO,any problem if I flash a ROM with different version of my PDA number !? -Mine is Middle east one "S5570DXKA3" and can't find official 2.3 ROM !-
2-If so can I support Arabic just to READ and WRITE without interfaces ??
3-If NO then,Now how can I support my current 2.2 non-arabic with READ-WRITE arabic language ??
4-Is there any special arabic-support Cyanogen ROM or it can get it easily ?
5-Is it required to have 2.3 to flash Cyanogen ROM ?
-------------------------------------------------
thanks in advance....
any help is appreciated

Hi, no you can't, you'll break yor phone. Those letters ("N", "L", "Q") are for specified regions of world - i think.
Hello.
Version "N" have a NFC system I8200 have not.
If You load ROM from i8200 it probably run on it but without NFC.
Version L & Q it's more different from I8200 and You may brick the phone.
I think You can't load other rom laike Your I8200N version.
