Yesterday my captivate started randomly playing the notification sound even though there is no notification, very annoying. It isn't my rom as I flashed a new rom and the problem persists. I tried searching and none of the threads described the same problem. Anyone have the same problem and or know how to fix it? Thanks
Anyone? Please?
could it be the "battery full" AKA "battery 100%" notification?

Hi,
I'm experiencing a problem with the ringer, whenever someone calls me or if the alarm is set then there is no sound. I've checked the volume, mute and even tried to reflash the stock EPE54B image (I was using CM 5.0.6 previously) but no luck. The other sound outputs (headphone etc) seem to be working fine.
I tried searching in the forum but didn't find anything. Anyone experienced similar problems before?
Thanks.
I have this strange issue of not having any sound at all. Suddenly, my phone did not give any sound, no ringing, no radio, or media, no earphone, really nothing. Because of this, I tried to reboot the galaxy 9000. The result was that it kept on rebooting on the start logo.
I could resolve that last Issue with a flash to a earlier version. But still there is no sound at all, even no bootup sound. Trying to flash to froyo again results in a bootloop.
In the beginning when I had the phone, I remember having an another sound issue that may be connected to this one? The sound of my phone calls was too loud, so I couldn't understand the caller. The only way to resolve that was to reboot, but after a while it came back. After some week the problem was gone.
Has anybody any idea what could be the problem I have?
no one has a clue?
Hi guys, I I've had a problem with my note recently and I was hoping someone could help me or at least point me I was the right direction because I've searched all over and haven't found an answer yet.
Recently my phone started auto-answering calls, it all started randomly and while I had kingdroid's 7 rom installed but it kept happening after a factory reset and changing to cm 9.1. It doesn't happen every call and I haven't been able to find a pattern yet.
The only theory I have until now is that it could have something to do with headset (even though it happens even if there's none connected), the reason I believe that is because sometimes I hear a random beep and music stops playing as if the headset was being used.
Has anyone had this issue? If so, can anyone help me?
Thanks everyone in advance

wild and baseless guess here: check if the headphones socket is clean - maybe something there shortcircuits the connectors, acting as if the receive button on the headphones was pressed?
Hi,
searching about the issue on the internet, I've found alot of topics lying all around the web regarding notification sounds but different phones (SGS2, SGS3, Xperia P,...).
The thing is, no matter what notification I get (I have different notification sounds for different apps), 90% of the time, the notification just doesn't play though to the end but most of the time gets cut off.
Hangouts has different (but system notification sound) and it gets cut off.
WhatsApp has different sound (again, system sound) and it gets cut off.
I'm not sure if this started to happen after upgrading to 4.2.2, it definitely is very annoying.
Anyone else having the same problem? Or anyone has some kind of workarounds for this?
Thank you for your help.

Yes , i'm having the same issue but 10 % of the time max . I don't use hangouts but the SMS sometimes do get cut off . Are you using a sound mod ?
I installed soundmod after having this problems. I haven't noticed any difference between using it or not.
hm. I thought that it was the sound mod . Meh. I have no clue how to fix it , nor that it bothers me that much since it only happens every 2 days or so
Yes having the same issue since the upgrade.. Using non-system and system notification sounds... No sound mod either I'm completely stock.
Cheers Rob
Hey guys,
So i have a really annoying problem. Im running firmware 6xxx with viper 7.01. I have a problem where randomly my phone stops making sound on notifications, calls and alarms. If i play media it works fine but everything else makes no noise. Then it'll randomly start again or i need to reboot it. It seems to regularly happen after i charge it. The problem is it has happened with ARHD as well. Both ROMS have had full wipes before i flashed them. Anyone have any ideas, it is a very annoying problem.
Thanks.
Ask in the ROM thread.
