Sprint Voicemail on CM6 Issues - Hero CDMA Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone have issues with voicemail popping down to their phone on the latest stable 0828 or 0831 RC1 CM6 I think it is? I'm not getting any voicemails. My call settings option is set up with my phone number. It was working I thought weeks ago, then stopped.

Pretty sure vvm just got an update. Are you running the newest one? If not, try that out. I would post the apk, but I don't use vvm, I use google voice.

Does someone have the newest apk available that they could share please?

I just got the update yesterday before I rooted and flashed. I can supply it if you send me your email address.
Edit Reason: Removed the .apk because of copyright concerns.

Froyo - Problems with Exchange Calendar

As soon as I updated my Nexus to the official release of Froyo, the exchange calendar worked great. No issues.
2 days ago, I wiped and flashed the Rodriguez ROM. Immediately, the calendar would not show any of my exchange meetings. The calendar is listed and shows it as "synced, visible"
Today, I wiped again and reflashed the official FROYO build (still on my sdcard). Set up my exchange. Same thing - no events are displayed.
I had someone send me a new invite and once I accepted, it showed up. But this was the only event displayed.
I created a new event and sent it back to him. Something went funky & it sent him 401 invites w/i 5 minutes. I eventually had to remove my exchange accnt from my phone for it to stop.
Any thoughts???
Submit the question to google, its something they should know before releasing 2.2 officially

Well, it is released officially to the Nexus. And it worked properly before... thats why I am confused as to what is causing this.
Nothing changed with my company's setup. All other Android phones (with Sense) are working fine w/ exchange.

Since when?
The leaked 2.2 was not "official" according to what google and members here are saying.
Maybe this is one of the bugs they are trying to resolve before officially releasing it for the N1 (or any other phone).
It might be worth adding your experience.

No it is not officially released to the N1 - the FRF50 was a preview/rc/testing release sent to a small group and not intended for the public release it got from someone pulling the URL from the logs.
The official OTA is being delayed until google irons out bugs and resolves performance issues (per a google employee's post on the Android help forums). They were hopeful it would OTA this week if the data that came back was good with the last release.
Haha, tough question. If it was entirely up to us, I'd say Definitely Yes! We have made some significant progress over the last couple of weeks and are now analyzing the data that is coming back. If the data looks good, then we will OTA (won't promise this week though!), otherwise this may take a bit longer.

@mr_christian: I was referring to Google as "us". I just want people to understand that we are not intentionally holding back the release. We work very hard on the platform for our customers to enjoy (including tasty names!), and would rather release it than not. That said, we will not release it until we are happy with it.
I am not at liberty to share details of what is being worked on, but at a high level we weren't happy with the performance and quality bar we had set for this release. There were also a few last minute bugs that cropped up and wanted to fix them before launch.
Hope that helps. Once again, we appreciate all the support and feedback!

Post about it on the Android forums if it's something you can recreate or supply information regarding what caused the problem. If it's something they can identify and resolve it will help everyone.
Sorry... my bad then. Been out of the loop as of late.
FWIW - I installed Kang-o-rama's Froyo and everything works fine now...just like before.
Something with Rodriguez ROM maybe? I mean, if it worked on stock 2.2 (and it does, I enjoy it myself) then it's not 2.2, but something else. Either bad flash, or something is up with the ROM. Check the ROM thread to see if anyone else has your problem.
I have problem with frf83 and exchange calendar sync. Email and contacts are syncing well, but exchange account does not appear in Calendar. In account settings calendar is marked to sync. Can anybody help?

I can't update gmail on NC

I hav the stock rom rooted with autonooter and i can't get the gmail app to update...i can't see it in the market but i took the api from my phone and transfered to NC but it wont install any help would be appreciated.
Sent from my Nook Color using XDA App
Hmm,
What you are describing sounds very odd. First of all gmail is typically apart of the base autnooter. So you shouldn't need to download extra stuff for it to work.
When you say you can't get it to update do you mean you have an older version working? Or you simply can't get email?
If you describe the issue more it might help.

[Q] (HELP) Cisco Jabber - Dialer Problem

Hi All.
I need some help.....
I've recently installed the new Cisco Jabber apk. I've added a custom Kernel with TUN enabled and I'm running VPNC widget to connect. Nearly everything works perfectly and I now get calls from my work desk phone directly on my DHD even when at home or out and about.
My one problem though is that when I try to make a call instead of being given the option to use Jabber (Dial from my Cisco Number) or my mobile network to make the call it defaults to the mobile network and of course doent work?
I've tried changing the settings over and over again but cant get it to work properly? I have tried 3 or 4 different Roms now thinking that it may have been a problem with one of them but still nothing works? I'm now pretty much convinced that its a Gingerbread problem but dont want to downgrade back to 2.2 until I've checked...
I have a friend that has Jabber installed on his Desire and it works perfectly.
Has anyone managed to get it working fully on their DHD??? If so can you post your Rom and Kernel details please???
Thanks
A gentle bump..... its been weeks and I'm still no further forward. Have tried several 2.3 Roms but still not been able to get it working properly? Has anyone else had any better luck than me?
Any chance I can get the default Cisco Jabber APK from you? I'd like to try it on my G-Slate.

By chance did you use to own an iphone? If so you need to log into your apple account and disable imessage, otherwise it's still trying to send them there.

[Q] send button on text disabled after cm12 flash

I've already had this problem a few times while using CM11. I'd downloaded the recommended updates and my send button on the standard SMS app is grayed out. Now its happening again after flashing CM12 Nightly to my Sprint HTC One M8... the only solution I've had so far is using Google Hangouts as my texting app which I hate doing... Anyone having this problem and/or know the fix??? Thanks.

Having the same issue with LiquidSense for my HTC One M7. I know it's a different device but we're both running CM 12 and this seems to be a recurring problem..
Lucky to see this question was asked recently, I'd hate to bump a really old topic.
Thanks for the Hangouts tip. Will be my temporary solution until we figure something out, when I do I'll post!

Thanks for checking this out. Yeah, so far I haven't found a permanent fix and it's rather irritating but I'm sure sooner or LATER someone will fix it.
Possible solution

Hi there, I'm using an LG G2 w/ CM12 nightly and i had this exact problem. For me the problem was that my sms app was not the "default sms/texting app" i changed this by opening my texting app and clicked the three dots (settings menu) and changed it to default sms/texting app. Hope this helps :fingers-crossed:
