ROM 1.6.7.3 with radio 1.13.10

Have just received a new qtek 9100.
Interesting is that my rom is already in portuguese.
I know there are some portuguese users in here who would love to take this home..
So, i'm needing some help to backup all the rom and of course the ext_rom.
Can anyone point me to some place?!

For backup Radio and OS ROM, please wait for the soon to be released aWizard version 1.2.

Took the radio, ext_rom and OS. Like they came from device, where rared and put on the FTP under:

I renamed the file to: QTEK_9100_portuguese.rar
and moved into the correct folder on the FTP.

Is the rom in PT (Portugal) or PTB (Brasil). I ask cause after extrait the RAR the folders state "PTB". Are GPRS settings configurated to TMN? Thank you

is from portugal, and retrived from a 9100 bought on tmn.
it says ptb, but was my error.

Didn't try, yet, to write anything to extrom... so don't know.

I think upgrade is not usefull...
My old Rom (1.1.7.5) have 50MB RAM and have not any problem!
Can write at ExtendedROM too.
What is better at this new version?

Just got a new Vario today. System info reads:

ROM date: 3/9/06
Radio version: 02.19.11

Yes it is - I read on another forum that someone recently got a Universal (MDA Pro) from a T-Mobile store in the UK with the new ROM on it.
Hope they will soon be posted on the T-Mobile Website.
Could you copy it onto a storage card and post it on the ftp server?

Can anybody help please with the extraction and upload of the new T-Mobile ROM?

I found these instrcutions:
Download aWizard 1.3b2
Run it, run the RAPI server using the 'e' command, wait till it starts, unlock the CID using 'u', then you can backup using the 'b' command, give it a name to backup to, and wait 15 or so minutes and it'll backup your GSM, OS, and Extended roms.

Right... first of all, unlocking wasn't necessary to dump them, using that aWizard program.
Secondly, it won't let me upload!

1) How would I put this dump onto my vario - forget this I actually got off my a** and used the search function.
2) which AKU is it ? ie can the clock be at the top instead of the battery icon

I'm an ICT network tech and picked this lil' beauty out as my next upgrade. Wanted Vario II but it'll be out too late. I was all set to put the QTek ROM on it till I noticed the revision date!
It's a lovely piece of kit, and I've only had it for four hours!!... hehehe

it is a great device really - I jumped on it as soon as it was released on TMobile last November. You won't be disappointed!

I've been using the T-Mobile USA test rom for the past week or soo...

Not had any problems with it up to now - perhaps TMUK will wait for this to pass the testing process before they post upgrades on their website.

No prob at all..... I'm keen to hear what people think about the new ROM, because I don't have anything to compare it to!

I must be an idiot. I just got my Vario so it has this ROM on it. I did the camera speckle and brightness fix, and apparently my picture quality has went down from when it first started. It might just be my imagination though....

I know this may sound really stupid, but I've just bought a new AT&T Tilt, and I was looking for the original HTC rom that I can flash on my phone.
I've tried searching the forum, but I couldnt find the original one.

my Tilt came pre loaded with the following ROM
ROM Version: 1.57.502.2
ROM Date: 08/25/07
Radio Version: 1.27.12.11
Protocol Version: 22.45.88.07H
Is it okay to flash my phone with the HTC ROM? Or would that be downgrading it? Also, i read somewhere about a bluetooth audio problem with the ROM, is that something to worry about or fix later, after I flash my phone?

There is a ROM released for TyTnII by HTC at htc.com? Any body try it yet? How is it different??

I can't see anything on the HTC site - where are you looking?

I check it out at HTC e-club (worldwide) update support and nothing for Tytn II.

I think this guy is talking about the AT&T rom update. Got me excited though!!!

Can you please tell us if this is the AT&T rom or real HTC... and even better a download link!

because i had to log on I doubt a link will work (Then I wouldn't have to make anyone wait for me to upload) it seems to be real HTC because u can get it it off of the US (which is 404 for the moment) or Europe FTP and is availiable in WWE or ARA (no clue what that is - arabic?)

It's a real AT&T ROM. I flashed it with no problems. It seems more stable, but that might be because it washed out my "experiments." There is also a new version 4.0.0.97 Blackberry Connect. You have to access that with the stub. I'll try to upload the cab later. My employer's firewall seems to be blocking my attempts to upload it now.

does this new rom have better video performance?

So is not a new rom afterall for the generic Kaiser?

No, its a bit more stable and has better bluetooth performance, which i can confirm. There are a few threads about it already in the "Upgrading" section.

I tried to do a search but could not find the solution for not able to sync after rom update. Can connect via usb but won't sync. I know I did see a fix here somewhere but can find it. Any help would be appreciated.
