don't think so, but deca's kernels are near identical to aospbot and work with cm6xx. try that

What he said, on Deca's OP for the kernel it states aospmod uses his kernel source.
But if you really wanted to use aosp's kernel you should be able to extract it out of the boot.img
I see. I asked because, when I installed his ROM, I ran a quadrant system info and it gave a max kernel freq of 844. I thought maybe that's why it ran so fast compared to the nightlies.

This is my kernel based on 2.2.2 kernel released by LG! This kernel has LG touchscreen fix and I've added OC from HERE, ext4 and btrfs support (btrfs is experimental) and VPN support (tun.ko module).
If you would like to use this kernel: http://www.multiupload.com/H3HQT7WMSY
Do not forget to make nandroid backup first.
Packaged in koush's anykernel for compatibility with any rom.
PS: Thanks to Mik_os for his patience
PPS: With my kernel I managed to use 806Mhz and it's works very well and it's stable for my phone.
Could you define optimised OC? How is it different from the OC supported by other kernels.
Thanks.

I used a new patch and this one, modify only 2 kernel files!
I can go up to 806MHz, which is really the top frequency my phone can handle. And amazingly enough, the cpu spike isn't there What changes did you make?
Work like a charm, but lack insteractive mode in setcpu and when you put it in power mode it stay at max freq. Thanks for your work buddy.
hope you include this on your next ROM release.... more power to you sir!
Dook - is it the same updated OC code that Mik used in his latest 2 builds ?

Arrrrgh this does not contain any of the patches needed by Gingerbread to function at least remotely fine .
Tried this kernel with LOLv1.2(froyo2.2) ROM,,Doesnt even stand up to SIppolo's super optimised kernel..After flashing this rom, phone got a little slower but like u said no more cpu spikes !!! THnx for posting

so this actually worked? would flash and and test it on some games. and would post my feedback after. Thnx!

Anyway, i prefer use my phone at 729MHz or 768MHz!
yep.
confirmed, cpu spike is not there.
thanks!

can anyone confirm this?
is it just for 2.2 or is 2.2.2 affected?
Can I flash this kernel into my AmberHome ROM (2.2)?
it has so small transitions in speed like from 600Mhz u cud scale upto 645Mhz..I like this
EDIT: yes u can check it out on any rom..It will work on any rom as it is packages like koush's style
I would like to know if config_tun is set to Y or M?
thanks in advanced
For most kernels (including IR's), you can extract the .config file from /proc/config.gz

Thanks man. BTW yesterday i switch back from CM 7.0.2.1 to CM 6.1.1 coz of wonk issues and i really want the vpnc app to work. i'm looking for a good battery life kernel currently i'm using WM last kernel version for CM6, if someone can give me a link for IR kernel (latest) that works with CM6.1.1 coz on IR's download page i tried all the kernel's for CM6 eventually i got boot loops and on RS kernel i got FC's & i can't find those with OC/UV. for now i don't have any issues with WM but i really want IR for comparison Thanks
umm..to all i9k users!
We got this Hummingbird and our beautiful hackable phone in here could any one give an advice on which kernel and rom package would be better when it comes to daily usage and having a well native OC/UV support, tweaks.
here are the ones that i knew..!
ROM's
Jetpack v4,Darky 10.3 EE,Cm7,MiUi Galnet,Insanity,SURFACE v3.4..etc!
Kernel's
Galaxian,Tegrak,Glitch(nly for Cm7 and MiUi),Semaphore,Darkcore,Hardcore Speedmod..!
and from all the above ones i just tried Darky v10.2+Darkcore it was "okay" and no OC support, can i get a kernel that has the power like Trinity Kernel for Nexus S and having some pretty good tweaks and enhanced UI ??
If you got any ideas just drop em right here!!
Try CM7 using stock kernel. you will never want to change.

hmm..iv'e already had CM7 on it but it had few bugs like voodoo colour, sound were both not enabled and the random-reboots were very frequent..!
and if i flashed another kernel then how will it be?

Vote for Insanity's CM from me.
Haven't tried OC, but UV works fine and 1.6ghz OC is supported with kernels like Neo's platypus and Glitch.
Also gives good battery life even when using heavier.
Never got FC's or random reboots.

Ty for suggestion looks cool ,ill try for sure!
BaldozRom v6.1 with galaxian or Blockbuster with galaxian.
those two are the best for my opinion.
or darky's rom, when stable is out..

it's not much diference.EE is final.take a look at the changelog.
I'm on cm7 nightly 103. As there is no more nightlies coming for some obvious reasons, I decided to stick to this one until the new nightlies start rolling(#104 has battery drain issues and some other issues)... And after using this for over two weeks, I must say this is the most stable, fassst and battery efficient(60-70 hours on normal use- GPS, wifi, 3G triggered manually) rom I've ever flashed!!
Does anyone know of a kernel I could flash on the stock 2.2.3 Froyo on my wife's Droid? I don't want to flash a rom, just replace the kernel for a little overclocking.

Primes kernel is about as good as it gets when it comes to overclocking and great features.
Can one use Incredicontrol with these? And which (Primed or Deprimed) would you recommend for stability?

I have not personally used Incredicontrol, so I can not confirm whether it works or not, but for prime's kernel I would recommend using Milestone OC (Milestone OC Tutorial). For stability I would go with Deprimed.
Hi! couple of weeks ago i flashed "Maxfu_HydraNirvana_n16' on my n7000, worked like a charm good battery life with 1600Mhz oc, but recently i realized that video player and video recording are not working, is there any fix for this?
It could be because of the OC'ing. Try another kernel.

No recommendation.. this is purely a test to check if OC is the problem of video crashes.. choose a stock kernel like Philz

There are no problems on Philz kernel, but the thing is that the phone is kind of slow

Yes then its because of the over clocking. It happens with other overclocked kernels too. Another option is to use the same kernel and get the max CPU speed back to 1400. Not sure if its going to work though.
