Hopefully we can double up Tesco vouchers to get the bits at a cheaper price.
Tesco Online has been selling Streak for a while. The wife had saved up £130 in tesco vouchers I doubled them & got £260 off my Unlocked Streak
If you wanna double vouchers you have to do it before 5th Dec

Anyone know if there's one for sale?
I've looked on various sites and the cheapest i found was £20, which i'm NOT paying for a USB cable
The cable that came with my phone broke VERY easily and now i'm left with a dead streak and no way to charge it!
The fact that Dell is charging £25 for a cable is just disgusting
Cheers guys.
Not yet, but some day when other manufacturers see sense and use pdmi connectors.

Can't you just return it under warranty?
Isn't the warranty only 30 days?
Yea, I'm dying to get another usb cable or two so I don't have to carry mine around everywhere I go... I was hoping, since they're selling the streak at best buy, soon I'll be able to get one there...???

As the OP is in the UK (or at least quoted prices in Sterling), they would be covered under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 for at least 12 months (and possibly as long as 6 years, given the cost of the cable).
It doesn't help the data connectivity but, you could get a desktop battery charger from eBay, I've just seen one there for £3.99 I just searched eBay for "Dell Streak Battery" and it came up in the results.
HTH.

I've had to get a friend in the USA to get me a car cradle kit from DELL USA and send it to me in Australia. Just got of the phone to OPTUS and Chat with DELL AUST and neither intends on selling accessories for the Streak in Australia.
What a shame

39 euro.. these are expensive cable for a piece of plastic..
I really am surprised that there isn't any 3rd party cables about. I have searched & only find dell's cables that cost a bomb
streak accessories now available from Dell
I just found this while searching the web for Dell Streak Accessories. This was not previously available.

The entire page itself...
All of the items could be found on the net in various locations, and for varied prices, but never saw a Dell/US page for it. One guy on ebay is selling all of this stuff out of his online store for $30 - $40 more expensive than Dell. For months I was looking for a second charging cable and $40-ish was too spensive for me. Now that Dell finally has this page up, $19.99 is not too bad a price.

The exact same cable on Dell's UK page costs £24.22, which according to xe.com converts to US$38.21, so be happy that you can get it for 20 bucks!!

Supply and demand my brothers, I suppose there hasn't been enough streak activity out there as yet to warrant the entrepreneurs in China to make a 10 dollar cable and then a 5 dollar one and then a.... well you get the point. Dell is enjoying this fan fare right now since no other device uses this PDMI connection, well that I know of at least. I bought the $30 set with the extra plug since the usb only works with computers or Dells charger. what a rip off.
Mobilefun were quite bad too!
When official Dell website were selling the car kit for £35, they had it for £61.99!!!
They have updated now to sell it for £39.95 - supposedly saving 36% - Hah!
(Although I am happy with the Dash Genie I bought from them, although it should not be as much as £17.50)
I still don't get why we've not seen the cheaper accessories appear yet for the streak. I had to buy USB N adapter from eBay, not bad for £25.. but I've noticed on my original one that I've had since June not looking so great at the bit where the cable joins the connector. Mind you in all fairness I do charge it quite a lot as I'm always doing something on the phone.

They're also selling the Dell Streak at half price - £199 unlocked.
Bought one yesterday and am very pleased!
me too
I got one in store too. Bargain at that price
Hopefully they'll reduce the prices online to match - I can't get to a store right now
£199? is that with no contract? thats a fooking bargain!! whats the os just the stock dell rom you get if you buy from the website?
Its off contract and updates easily to 2.2.2!
Just rooted mine and looking for a good ROM to start experimenting...

Yes, generic Dell set up with out a contract, just put my existing SIM card in and it has now updated to the latest Android version.
The online price was the same when I looked at Tesco Direct although they had no stock. I'm guessing that they've reduced then to clear and they won't be back in stock. I had to search locally for a store that still had 1 in stock.

I think that Tesco are clearing their stock. I hope that they decide to stock the Streak 2 as they seem to be offering the best prices...
At £199.95 sim free I'm sorely tempted to buy one just for spare!
Here in India it cost me 3200 bucks, i.e. around $65, So $35 mini pc doesn't sound good.
In Greece it cost me 40€ with the shipping which is about 54 USD
It's target price is technically $35 in the USA and around £24 in the U.K. However when you factor in currency conversion, local shop currency, international shipping, limited availability in certain countries (Raises prices), taxes and other duties the price can be a lot higher then $35.

Ya here in Canada I believe I ended up paying like 50 with shipping.
Plus 150 in accessories, like PSU, keyboard/mouse, wifi dongle, sdcard and powered usb hub

It costs 350 DKK, which is about ~60 USD.. + Shipping cost ofc.
got mine from australian element 14 website for 41 dollars... plus a case for 9 dollars.. however because i spend more than 45 dollars.. i got free shipping DD

I bought my Raspberry Pi Model B (512mb RAM) + power supply at rsdelivers.com and paid 46€ including shipping costs. Furthermore I spent 8€ on a sd card and 20€ on a powered USB-Hub. The case was free because I built it with old legos

Does anyone know how soon Amazon.com normally sells newly released smartphones? I am planning on buying from bestbuy at full retail price after they price match my local sprint store's $549 price. It would be even better if I could buy from Amazon.com and avoid tax as well.
(first time buying without the subsidized pricing so I'm looking for the cheapest way possible)
Thanks

If I'm not mistaken Amazon charges tax on more states now included California. I was building a PC for about $1500 and was using Amazon to avoid Newegg tax but a week before ordering or so they enforced CA Sales tax. Overall it was still cheaper so I ended up still ordering with Amazon but it's worth checking if your state is the same.
Amazon has a list of states where they charge sales tax: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custo...2?ie=UTF8&nodeId=468512&qid=1366142889&sr=1-2
All CA mobile sales will also be charged tax on the full (no-contract) price of the phone as well, even when you buy the subsidized version and sign the 2-year contract.
I am shipping to Ohio. Amazon doesn't charge tax there yet

Strangely, since they are the only ones selling the 32GB WIFI model apparently, that tablet is on sale this week for the same price as the 16GB. It had been selling at $549 and it is this week $499.
There were three other folks in line for customer service when BB opened yesterday to do the exact same exchange.
So....I returned my 16GB and exchange for the 32. I told them I would take the same $50 price reduction they were offering on the 32 but they said they weren't able to do that. Makes no sense since they will now sell mine as an open box unit at a $50 discount.
Wonder if they guarantee the price for a couple of weeks...just bought 2 32gb at 549.00 each...

Well turns out since I have the Rewards Card and have myself enrolled I could have waited up to 30 days if the sale price held that long. But the 1st unit was purchased 8/22 and its beyond 2 weeks by a couple days and they refunded 50 on each for me! So I bought a Logitech S keyboard.
I had Best Buy sale me a 32GB last Sunday at the $499 deal! I only paid $118 since I had some $100 gift cards I needed to cash in.
The 16GB model has been priced down to $449.99 in a lot of places as well.

Refurbs often are great deals....much depends on warranty. I see that the seller has raised the price from $399. At what they're asking for now one might as well buy new. Not really a "deal" anymore IMHO.
