I've got an Austrian Galaxy S and I want to update the firmware to an UNBRANDED version of the Korean SHW-M110S Froyo 2.2.
But I cannot find it anywhere. According to the "AnyCall SHW-M110S" thread it was released on October 15th.
Does an unbranded version of Froyo 2.2 for SHW-M110S even exist ?
The reason why I want to flash the Korean firmware onto my European phone is because I desperately need the RECORD CALL option.

There are apps in the android market that can do call recording as well but I have the Shw-m110s Korean Galaxy S and there is not yet a froyo update out for it.
BUT，I think, Korean firmware can't fit for your phone. m110s is not i9000, m110s just be used in Korea。Are you sure that you want Korean firmware ?

i just got my official froyo update via Kies ..
but alot of applications are in spanish.. can any one know why ???

Probably your phone is from Spanish. I bought mine and its from Germany so I've uptated to Froyo while everyone else in Poland are still waiting for official Froyo update.
I recently flashed 2.3.4 on my fone which had froyo... But now m totally annoyed by the fact that it cant last one full day... My country,being south africa has released its official gingerbread but its 2.3.3... And i have the xxjvq euro 2.3.4.... I want to know how i can poasibly get that official update using kies?????
I read on twitter that if ure fone ia not from south africa u wont be able to from one of the samsungSA servicemen.... Now by flashing the euro firmware does it not make it a foreign fone?
Or can i simply download the froyo firmware from the thread here and update it through kies will that work?

have a similar question.
bought the polish (not the PLUS) version from HANDTEC. am in the USA.
still says "no update available" if i do the settings->about phone->software update->update.
do we need to use KIES for this? which KIES version works best with the Galaxy Note?
any help would be hugely appreciated! c",)

It is still not officially realesed for india, you have to w8 to get update on kies/OTA
you can flash with odin at presently to get 2.3.6

2 weeks ago I connected my GNote to mycomputer, Kies Started and notify me by a new firmware update is available , Then I select yes.
Don't upgrade to 2.3.6, since I get this update I feel my GNote become slow, even slower than Galaxy S II.
I want to remove it, and downgrade it But I don't know how? GNote performance on 2.3.5 was better and faster

I upgraded this morning to 2.3.6 as have had a few random reboots with 2.3.5 lately. No speed issues for me, just as fast and smooth with 2.3.6 as before. No 'features' discovered yet either. It also scores the same as before on Antutu bench marking.
As for how to, this is an over the air update, no Kies involved. I simply did a manual check for updates this morning and installed it.
