Hi, what is the best app that would sync with the tasks in google calendar?

Try gtasks from the market.

First of all..
This is the wrong section in which to ask questions..
Do that in general..
Second..
You can only use the HTC apps in stock HTC Roms..
So you need to be more precise in what rom you are planning to use these applications.
LauncherProPlus (LPP) has clones of the HTC contacts, facebook, twitter, calendar, friendstream widgets...
Oh sorry.. i use the nightly builds ;-)
Will try launcherproplus then ;-)

IF you are refering to the actual contact list, it is possible to sync with FB. Just download the official FB app, log in and activate sync in settings. This syncs pictures and some info.

I don't quite understand what you need exactly. I'm also using a nightly build (43) and my contacts and calendar are synced with my Google account. I didn't check with Facebook cause I don't have such account (and hope not need to have one ever) but with Google works fine. I'm not using any extra applications just the ones provided with the build. I have installed Dialer One and a calendar widget but that's nothing to do with the synchronization itself. That is done through Settings - Accounts & Sync

Facebook calendar sync in CynogenMod

Hello all
How to sync facebook calender in cyanogenmod.
The facebook app just syncs contacts. I remember friend stream had two options, contacts and data. I don't find any option to sync calendar in facebook for android

No one?

to my knowledge it is not possible because it needs the HTC framework to work, so it is only possible on the stock rom from HTC.
Use EboBirthday it syncs Facebook to Google calendar and also has a nice widget for diplaying events.

Gingerbread removing Facebook contacts.

Just read on the BBC web page that when you update to gingerbread thats already on the nexus s you will lose the option to have Facebook contacts in your phonebook. Will this be Facebook android app and Facebook for HTC sence? this will be very bad.

This is just on 2.3.3 which is specific to Google devices (N1/NS) so I'm guessing that most updates will be built around 2.3.2 which doesn't remove the sync options. Tbh this part of an ongoing battle between Google and Facebook which stems from Google wanting to force Facebook to use the Android contacts API and thus allowing the use of your Facebook contact info for other apps and purposes. It is possible that Facebook will adhere to the Google API but it creates a whole load of other issues that suggest it won't be a simple procedure.
Regards.

[Q] Stick with stock calendar app or use Google Calendar instead?

Since getting my Moto X I've been wondering why the calendar app icon is different from what I'm used to with my Nexus devices, and another thread indicates that the stock calendar app is the AOSP calendar, which is different from the Google Calendar in the Play Store. I also noticed that the Google Calendar in the Play Store was updated yesterday with the typical "bug fixes". What are the pros and cons of staying with the stock app or switching to Google Calendar?
The main difference I saw was the newer Google Calendar has a better time selector. I use Business Calendar but recommend the newer Google Calendar over the older AOSP if you're choosing between those two.

You can disable Android calendar in app settings and install Google calendar from Google play store. Don't disable android calendar storage. Just clear data in android calendar storage.
