i am using Teds Hero theme, but like the google search widget from "hero Mix" theme better, is there a way to extract it and install on other theme??
You should be able to just pull the apk out of the hero mix zip. And replace it with the one on teds zip and reflash the whole thing. Make a backup before just in case it doesn't work properly
looked for that but there is a GoogleSearch.apk but when i put that apk on my sd card and use appmanager to install doesnt work, but is that even the right APK for search widget?

you're not supposed to install them ... you have to adb push it back into system/app
Or you can just copy paste them into system/app using "root explorer"
dont forget to click the "remount as r/w" button on the top and make sure you reboot when your done.
has any one themed the new facebook apk v1.2? tryed renaming and morphing and i get a problem loading widget for the widget.. or any way to use my old themes and make it work? thanks
The update gets stored on data/app and i dont think you can metamorph apps in data..
Pull the .apk from data/app rename it to Facebook.apk and push it to system then you should be able to morph it....
Mine don t go there.I see it in SD ext it when I rename and try to move with my file manager to system app it never goes.any ideas.or what's the command to push it ? Thanks

only thing that changes is the nexus to nexus s....all other defaults remain
Can anyone confirm that these are the same as the standard live wallpapers? I get no new options and not sure if I did something wrong.
//edit never mind, I see the single difference now. Thanks for posting tho

I followed the directions precisely (ES File Explorer) and for some reason my install always fails. No explanation either. Tried several things. Deleting the original, leaving the original in place, etc.

if you have an android commander try that
Not working here either, any chance we can get this as a normal, separate Live Wallpaper install? I really, really want this LW.
Try using the app "SUFBS" (not in market). found here:
http://www.filestube.com/876LO4iPjD1uUTmfm2cLAW/Android-Application-and-Tools-sufbs-v3-42.html
before you start copying and pasting, make sure you hit the little "S" on the top right corner to activate read-write, and turn if off when done.
hope it works.
everything worked just like said on first post, too bad it doesn't have the touch reaction like the old one did when you touched the screen.

Well an Apk file is a Android file not WM not sure if you knew this already. Now if your talking about installing a Apk file in Android you can put the file into your SD card then go to the android market and install Astro file manger. Run Astro, then find the file in the SD card and then click and install .
Everytime I download a new theme from xda or deviantart it tries to open the zip in Rom manager, I've tried dropping the zip files straight into the theme folder but now luck...what am I doing wrong?
I've not set any defaults for Rom manager by the way...
Also I have an OG Droid running cm.7

Why are you trying to open the. Zips? Just drop them on the themes folder. That's all.
I have tried that, as I said in my first post. In the widgetlocker home page it says that you should be able to click a theme .zip and it will give you the option to open it with widgetlocker.
solution

Go to application manager and clear defaults for ROM manager. Next time you touch a zip a pop up will ask you with which all you want to access the zip, select widgetlocker
