So since the update to version 1.1 espn scorecenter has been broken. I know this is a problem for many other phones is well just by looking at the comments on the app page. Anyone have any solutions?

Went old school. Back to SportsTap. Try that. Or if you have used Titanium Backup, you could restore an older version.

Sportstap is a fantastic app to use. It has up to the minute score updates I believe. I use it the most.

ESPN killed the older version. When you tried to open it, it just brought up the score screen saying there is a new version and you have to update, but after the update, all it does is force close on startup. They pushed it on Friday right in the middle of a big 4-day football weekend. Brilliant!

Way to go ESPN! Oh well. I found that tabbing over to the next screen always lagged. Thankfully there are more options for people out there.

I use the widget all the time to keep up with college football and basketball... the widget still works but every time i open the app and it FCs i send a report

Nice, When I used blackberry and upgraded to a new one none would transfer, I love android more and more everyday.
You might want to back up your free apps. They will show in your downloads in the market the first time you open up the "my downloads" view but after you exit the market that first time it re0syncs and all your free apps disappear from the list.
If you run cyanogenmod then this is a moot point as it backs up all your market apps and reinstalls them after the first boot.

NOOO!!
You are right about Gameloft's anti-piracy coding making it a headache to restore them, and their site does a terrible job (right now) of maintaining accurate account info but DON'T repurchase them!
I had trouble with restoring my Gameloft games so I sent Gameloft Support an email about it and they promptly sent me an email back with links to every game I had already bought.
So I downloaded them again and saved the apk's in a couple safe spots so I can reinstall them anytime
Whatever you do don't waste your money re-purchasing them.

Mine does. I really don't like it. Downloads button was rather useful. 2 clicks and you could see if you had any apps that needed updating. Now you have to press menu to access your downloads. I know, I know, it takes one second to do that. It's just rather annoying.
There is a download app in app drawer thats says downloads now so maybe thats why

Fyi I think Android can tell your network operator now. I was setting up my NS over wifi and had my sim in my g2 for calls. At that time the NS said downloads on the right tab. After I finished and put my sim into the NS the market started displaying T-Mobile on the right tab. It makes me think that the G2 did have a vanilla android on it...well sort of. Lol

Yep same experience here... Gameloft is the king of GARBAGE!
The one from the market from what i hear it doesn't work.
Whats odd is they dont even list the game being available for NS when you visit the website from your phone
The i9000 version works fine on NS i got from their website a few months ago never had any problems
I got it to work by opening the game, letting it force close, then holding down the home button and selecting it from "Recent."
Got Nova2 this morning for £1 and was going to pick up this too but it disappears when you select the nexus S as your phone, so they know it's not compatible
Same problem here... it may be the ROM we're running... what ROM are you all running? latest MIUI here...

Tell them you somehow got the wrong version and see if they will text you a link to the right apk.

Just got mine this morning and seems to work well. Download/upload speeds are good (I'm on a 100Mb line using wifi though)

Anyone else getting "Application not Installed" using the .apk?

Fixed this by rebooting phone, uninstalling the supposedly failed installation, and trying again. At first there was no Music showing up in the application, so I closed it. Navigated to settings, accounts and sync, switched off Auto Sync and manually synced my Music. Now it works like a charm.

Now it does install and accepts your username password, you can see your qeue and it attemps to play the vid, but fails with a DRM required message. any one else seeing this? if you search for it it will not appear, but if you select apps, all apps, free apps then scroll down its listed. click install and try to enjoy a mostly usable app.

yep no go for me also. Someone on Android Central claims his works on stock but yeah general consensus says other wise.
Mine works on CM7 perfectly! I did a search for Netflix it found and downloaded fine. Logged in and started a movie!

it will never work on stock or rooted froyo for the thunderbolt (at least not without netflix directly supporting it). person that said it did on that forum is full of it. amount of effort to make it work would not be worth it. GB will be out soon and nearly everyone has it already on here. Anyone who wont root to get netflix obviously doesnt want it bad enough

Ok ok, im not a dev, but.... Look at the LG Revolution. It is running 2.2.1 and netflix runs perfectly out of the box. in my ignorance, I dont know why it would be any more dificult to modify it to work with other froyo devices. Im sure one of the software type bullys will pick me appart here.. By the way... XDA isn't a friendly place any more. boo to flamers... (will probably get flamed for that) HA

Netflix does NOT need GB to function, it appears as if it needs it for the TBolt but not overall. That being said they made Droid Bionic support available so take everything with a grain of salt. Maybe GB will be coming soon and rather than fix issues with the TBolt again soon they figured set it up for GB and users can use it then (and root users now ).

I just installed Netflix on my stock TB & it works very well. It was a little glitchy for the first 3-4 seconds, maybe 5, but after that, clear as a bell. No complaints here. About damn time...
Netflix app was just updated again!!! Everyone that had issues before try it out!

Yep, confirmed working here too. Stock Froyo unrooted, latest update.

I never said all of froyo...I said thunderbolt + froyo. However, I am glad to see that it looks like netflix finally fixed it for the thunderbolt on froyo (the only way I said it would ever work for it).

I never understood the appeal of watching netflix on a cell phone. I tried it a couple of times & never finished the movie. Tablets & netbooks are much better suited for that job, imho
