Espn scorecenter broken!

So since the update to version 1.1 espn scorecenter has been broken. I know this is a problem for many other phones is well just by looking at the comments on the app page. Anyone have any solutions?

Went old school. Back to SportsTap. Try that. Or if you have used Titanium Backup, you could restore an older version.

Sportstap is a fantastic app to use. It has up to the minute score updates I believe. I use it the most.

ESPN killed the older version. When you tried to open it, it just brought up the score screen saying there is a new version and you have to update, but after the update, all it does is force close on startup. They pushed it on Friday right in the middle of a big 4-day football weekend. Brilliant!

Way to go ESPN! Oh well. I found that tabbing over to the next screen always lagged. Thankfully there are more options for people out there.

I use the widget all the time to keep up with college football and basketball... the widget still works but every time i open the app and it FCs i send a report

[Q] New Android Marketplace?

So I got my NS today to replace my N1 and I thought it would have the new marketplace on it. It looks to be the same one as before. Any idea on how to update it?

I don't have a NS so I wouldn't know if it works or not but it works on my Vibrant + other devices on 2.2.

I was wondering the same thing but i'm not in a hurry to get it updated. Im going to wait for it to be pushed to mine. Does the new 15 minute refund window apply only to the new market?

I tried to update today but it came in all un even around the categories tabs. So I'm just gonna wait. I mean its not like I'm dying to have the update.

Mine does. I really don't like it. Downloads button was rather useful. 2 clicks and you could see if you had any apps that needed updating. Now you have to press menu to access your downloads. I know, I know, it takes one second to do that. It's just rather annoying.

There is a download app in app drawer thats says downloads now so maybe thats why

Thats for downloads from the browser. Not the market.

You can always hit the menu key and then downloads

Fyi I think Android can tell your network operator now. I was setting up my NS over wifi and had my sim in my g2 for calls. At that time the NS said downloads on the right tab. After I finished and put my sim into the NS the market started displaying T-Mobile on the right tab. It makes me think that the G2 did have a vanilla android on it...well sort of. Lol

[APP] Honeycomb music player :)

I've been playing with this player a few days now and it seems to be working pretty damn well for a leaked version. I found it off google when it was leaked. The UI is amazing
I saw it come up in the epic 4g section when i made this post. I did a search and couldn't find it in the captivate theme/app section so I'd thought I post it here. Enjoy.

I'm not sure. When I found it it was labeled honeycomb.

This player is pretty cool. Not to fond of the UI colors and such but with a little work it'll be nice, dark, and perfect.

Dang! How to install it? It won't let me because it's Music app, how can I install it if I already have a stock music app? Some adb push?

Yeah, I'm fairly certain this is from Gingerbread. It's definitely a slick UI though.
I just launched the .apk to install. My phone now has two Music apps, but that might not be a bad thing in case this new one acts up.

from what iv read in the nexus s forum the best way is to adb push it and also delete or move the old music.apk. they are getting a lot of force closes over there if not done correctly so it could be hit or miss for now.

it's an apk file you can drop it in systems. You can have both players running at the same time and set one as default. I haven't had any issues so far running both

Yes... how are you supposed to sync with your pc library? I have some music on my card but its not finding anything now. I would also like that album view but it doesnt display like the screenshots you posted.

I believe it's supposed to sync with Google's cloud system so you don't have to have your music with you but still be able to listen to it.

my music only shows up when not in landscape mode. strange. i see artists and albums but no songs.

Video call on GTalk

AndroidCentral has a version of Google talk that allows you to video call but you must have gingerbread. Can anyone port this over 2.2 can support it?

Could attempt it on a test build on CM7, works there from what it looks like.

Just wanted to chime in here on the subject.
Did some searching today and it lead me to the threat linked above, downloaded and flashed through rom manager. First boot took a bit longer than it usually does, thought I got stuck in a boot loop. However, I can confirm this works on the lates pre-alpha cm build!
I had to create another google account to test it out, but low and behold it actually works!
I didn't see any other posts in the thunderbolt forum acknowledging this so I thought I would let you all know.

A family member of mine has a stock tbolt and I got the latest BAMF GB Tom on mine. She texted me today and by her info in the text I had the green video camera. I hit it, it called her and I could see and hear her. She doesn't live in a 4g area nor hooked up to wifi at the moment, but for whatever reason, like I said I could see her and hear just fine. So looks like it might work from 2.2 to 2.3 with better circumstances. Hopes this helps.

Same here. No luck get error saying plugin crash

It connects on both ends but no video shows up on computer end and on the phone the video of myself is sideways and the rest of the screen is white with a bunch of random colored bars on it.

I'm running BAMF 2.0 GB and had the same result. I can see the other person but they can't see me.

I finally got gtalk video and audio working for two way calls on gingerbread
The solution has been out, but I guess I just didn't do a good job of googling. Flash this Google Package File in recovery after wiping cache and davlik.
You can also just read the thread where I got it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056793. The same file is listed under "to install" step#2, Alternate3.
After installing this, my Gmail app was missing so I installed it from the market. I had to install the thing twice before it finally worked b/c it force closed on me with the first install.
I haven't tested the calls on wifi yet, but it was clear on 3g. Only gripe I have is that the camera view is rotated.

Anybody have issues actually running the game once downloaded? I get nothing but Force Closes. Uninstalled twice and re-downloaded the files too.

Yep same experience here... Gameloft is the king of GARBAGE!

The one from the market from what i hear it doesn't work.
Whats odd is they dont even list the game being available for NS when you visit the website from your phone
The i9000 version works fine on NS i got from their website a few months ago never had any problems

I got it to work by opening the game, letting it force close, then holding down the home button and selecting it from "Recent."

Got Nova2 this morning for £1 and was going to pick up this too but it disappears when you select the nexus S as your phone, so they know it's not compatible

Same problem here... it may be the ROM we're running... what ROM are you all running? latest MIUI here...

I got the galaxy s version from gameloft.com and it works great for me

Got mine straight from the market. CM7.0.3. How would I get the Galaxy S version? No way in hell am I paying for it again.

Tell them you somehow got the wrong version and see if they will text you a link to the right apk.
