Anybody hear of any apps that can let you use your android device like a Cintiq tablet? Seems to me that a larger Android Tablet would make a good drawing tool for Photoshop...
If you search for RemoteDroid in the aopp store it lets you use your captivate as a touch-pad. you install a client on your PC and the communication is over WiFi. That is as close as I've seen to what you are loking for, but I wouldn't use it as a drawing pad.
Thanks, I found that one, and I agree with you. Good as a mouse program, but not for drawing.
Although even as a mouse program, I can't imagine a scenario where I would choose to use my phone over a standard keyboard and mouse
what about wm 6.5?

Does anybody know of a program that could turn the kaiser into a remote for windows? I would like to use the touchscreen as a trackpad (like on laptops) and the keyboard to control my HTPC.
I found a program that does exactly that but it doesn't work with windows mobile 6. And I'm not completely sure the keyboard function works. It is called PPC tablet remote control suite (http://www.aacompserv.com/AACompWeb/Modules/PPCTablet/WhatIsIt.aspx)
Thank you!
i can suggest a bluetooth remote control:
http://www.jaylee.org/RemoteControl/
it does the trackball part, but not the keyboard part.
I saw that one previously...but did not try it. Thanks for the help! I still can't believe something like that doesn't exist yet...guess I'll have to wait for PPC tablet to update if nothing else comes up
I had an idea but since I don't know how capable the Tilt is...
I have seen the Logitech mini-Dinovo keyboard and wonder instead can I use the Tilt's keyboard to power my home PC. ex: start songs, control volume, etc. Anyone have any ideas?
I havent tried it but http://www.jaylee.org/remotecontrol/ looks to be what you need
I use salling clicker for my mac and all works well there. I dont know it salling has keyboard support on the windows side but it may.
Here is the link for salling
Or you just can use VNC thru wifi
GRemote
filler
Thanks
I will try the all of your recommendations and let you know my outcome. Thanks Again!
GRemote is great.
I have been using the GRemote program through IP and it has been great. Great connection and easily setup that I haven't even tried the bluetooth. The touchpad is a little sensitive but it works well enough to get around the screen. Take a look its a great program!
Hi, I have tried searching for something like this for a while now, both in the forums and on the web.
So, for the question. I want to use my onboard keyboard on the X1 to control my PC, preferably via bluetooth. So when i press a key on my X1 keyboard my PC will register the same keystroke.
Is this possible, and have anyone seen a software or product similar or exact as i am describing?
Kind regards
Lemuren
sure it's possible

lemuren, i was also searching for a bluetooth keyboard / mouse program on my x1. I've found a program called Mobile Remote: http://www.mobilesrc.com/MobileRemote.aspx, that emulates a Human interface device. The advantage of this is, you don't need any drivers because windows and other operating systems already support these kind of devices. It's even possible to use the x1 keyboard and mouse on a Playstation 3!

I just downloaded this app yesterday and tested it on my Vaio Laptop. It appears that the physical keyboard works but it is always in FN mode (blue square button), so I end up typing the symbols and numbers instead of the letters. Wondering if there is a way to disable this when using the physical qwerty. The touch screen keyboard works well, but I would rather type with the actual keyboard.
Hello, guys.
It works!
Any luck figuring out how to fix the issue /disable the blue square on the physical keyboard?
thanks a lot

Nope, no luck. I found that the other program works better than Gremote (uses a server on the PC, so is more advanced). So if you want to setup the mobile as a mouse the MobileRemote is the better one.

loool lol lol lol.... that is good one
or? are you serious?
in that way, sure we will help you... here:
yes, it is big.
Solution:
Do NOT buy BGP100.. anyway it doesn`t have working driver yet
I've written working code that is able to use the BGP100 for playing games on WM. How many people actually own the gamepad? If there is enough interest, maybe I'll publish a nice little utility so that you can use it with any software. Thoughts?

Seems that the BGP100 is working fine with FpseCE (Playstation emulator), no need for a driver, the support is built in.
See here...
Iv ordered the controler as have quite a few people because of being able to use it on FPSCE. if there was software to make it work on the HD2 for other stuff im sure maybe people would be happy, I would love to be able to use it on Morphgear.

There is no pass code but the HD2 bluetooth application won't allow it.
I've posted a small app which talks to the BGP100. It runs on all WM devices. Manually pair with the BGP100 and select SPP (serial port protocol) to connect with the device. Note the COM/BTC port number. Run my app and choose the same port number in the config dialog. For older PPC devices, choose the OUTBOUND COM port number. It will connect and show you button presses with green dots on top of the controller image. It sends system keyboard messages for the button presses which can be recognized by any program. It's still in it's early stages, but functional. I intend to add support for other bluetooth controllers to this app.

The EXE is to be copied to your device (no installer)

Can someone confirm this works with morphgear?! I havent got my BGP100 yet
i cant confirm it with my bgp100. the program works it kinda talks with the gamepad because that changes led color but i still cant assign morphgear with it
it produces key presses that should be usable by any program. The default setup "presses" the arrow keys along with the following:
BGP100 button Key
-----------------------
A Z
B X
C C
D V
Start Enter
L Shldr S
R Shldr D
You can re-assign them by changing the HEX values in the config dialog. The config dialog is currently only working well on some display sizes. I'll fix it in the next release.

Hi Guys!
I´m terribly searching for some keyboard alternatives for WP7, but it seems like there aren´t any alternatives at the moment, right?
I would really appreciate the development of a standard (12 Button) Keyboard like it was implemented in WM 6.1 - 6.5 and is implented in every Android build, on which each button represents 3 or 4 signs. In my personal experience writing goes damn fast (with one hand...for me, it´s even faster than swype) on such a keyboard, even while walking, cycling or driving (yeeeea I know, don´t type and drive... ). I used such a keyboard also with WM 6.5 and Android...(the shown pics are just some (to be honest: not very good) examples to show what I mean)
The keyboard implemented in WP7 is quite okay, but the buttons are really small (at least this depends on how thick your fingers are?! ) and it is impossible for me to type in a comfortable way while I´m walking ...
what do you guys think? are there any solutions/will there be such a layout in near future?
hello,
im looking for the phone keyboard too with T9 , im much much faster on phomne keyboard would be good if anyone can add this on wp7
regards
Same for me... the keyboard in wp7 is not bad, but on wm6.5 with swipe or T9 it was much faster to write a message.
Anyone an idea?
I'm not sure this is an area that will see any change in the short term. Microsoft seem keen to keep this locked down like the iPhone.
*grrr*...that´s really kind of sad...I´m really not comfortable with the native keyboard. But hope dies last
You can't change the keyboard on WP7. Microsoft is not allowing it. I don't believe anybody has found a way to do it either.

Arguably you should add '...yet' to the above statement, although Apple have retained their policy of not allowing alternative keyboards.
A Google search suggests there is no obvious activity around Swype and WP7 and while there are a few things around suggesting that Dasur (SlideIT) were looking to release a WP7 version of their keyboard, there is nothing obvious to support this on their website.
They may have had information from MS that they are not opening up the keyboard? Or maybe it's in development...?
Any news here?
