Just wanting my phone to run at its best, im currently using Speedmod with voodo, and know how to deoxed the apps i have how do i go about doing this?
Easier solution to this would be to install a Custom ROM. Most Custom ROMs are Deodexed.
Yeah i totally agree, although im really happy with the preformance im at and dont want to overite it with a custom rom.

Stock Rom or De-odexed ROM ?
or Maybe a CustomROM.
Thx alote
With respect I would do a lot of research and reading before you jump into rom flashing, it will save you a lot of stress!

Hm, just read through all the flashing manuals. And if you think you kniw enough, you can look for your new ROM.
A custom ROM will run smoother than a stock rom and custom ROMs have some features stock ROMs don't have.

Hi, I m looking for a rom which is similar to darky rom in terms of performance n battery
I m on darky rom 10.2 n its quite good, but it tends to freeze n reboot occasionally.
So I want to try out other roms..
I don't like fancy roms.
Simple, fast n stable vl do..
Plz suggest..
If you want simple fast and stable why go past stock with rooted kernel?

For what reason? If you want simple, snappy and stable stock with a good kernal beats a (Samsung based) "custom" rom. You can even add a theme of your choosing if you wish.
Or if you do want a custom ROM (a real custom ROM) go something AOSP based.

K bro..Vl try out stock rom with custom kernels..
M kind a new to custom roms on galaxy s so was jst curious about custom roms..
Try Jetpack Mod V6+
Hi, i was in that dilemma between customizing myself a stock rom or go for a custom rom that matched what i was looking for, i have tried cyanogen mod 7 (didnt like it), darkyrom with tw4 looked great but a had a lot of reboots (maybe because of the touchwiz 4).
Now i am using Jetpack Mod V6+, and its running fine, stable and very fast.

But as everything it will depend on what are you looking for, so good luck
If you are looking for stability and battery performace try a KIES official stock ROM that it is in your contry. Do not try leaked ROMs such as JVP,JVR,JVS,JVT because they are beta.
Hello everyone!!
Just a quick question for everyone here. I purchased my note a couple months and it came rooted with Paranoid. Since then I have tried a whole lot of roms since then. But they all seem to lag at one point. Even with OC
My work phone is a Galaxy S2. With the ICS upgrade from Bell, the phone is a rocket. Bone stock, battery life is great and the Quadrant results are fantastic.
If stock ICS is faster, smoother, and overall better experience, how would I go about installing it? I'm assuming Odin, and Sammobile.com. But what files should I be searching for? Can I install any .tar file? Im more worried about getting English on the phone after I install ICS from another country lol.
Im familiar with CWM. But not too familiar with Odin yet. I just want to make sure I get the right files.
Don't try anything with Odin and or stock ics roms as you can get a unsafe kernel and brick your phone.. Most likely you can flash with cwm every rom in dev section.. Try cyanogenmod9 its awesome.. And buttery smooth

Stock ICS is not smoother, faster and more stable it just seems so because of touchwiz's stmooth performance.(Also, if stock ICS was a better experience then nobody would be searching and making custom ROMs ) CM9 is much better and is more stable too.
Also it's better to stay away from stock ICS as it may come with an unsafe kernel--rather it will come with an unsafe kernel, as the guy above said.Anyways, that's just my my opinion.
If you wanna install a stock ICS rom, I'd go about flashing a stock GB ROM and then flashing the stock ICS ROM using Kies. For stock GB roms, check out dr.ketan's thread.
I want to clarify if it ever works in stock kernel? because mine is not possible to unlock bootloader, I want to change my CUSTOM ROM from CM7 to ICS ROM. Many also ask if it ever works on STOCK kernel.

i dont think nAa will develop stock version
minicm 9,10 on stock kernel is impossible.
Its impossible to run CM9+ with stock ROM. it requires swap(I guess) and some tweaks + libs that requires with custom kernel.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Man on stock it's just 165mb of ram,so we can't made cm9 for stock rom! On custom is 184mb!

definitely stock roms have stock kernels (unless said that there are a few changes made). Besides, a rom that is modified from the original phone manufacturer is not a stock rom.
