I have LWPs on my computer as *.apk files. I tried to add them the same way as I would apps; however, I keep getting the error message INSUFFICIENT SPACE. I'm pretty sure there is ample space on my phone for the LWPs, but I keep getting that error no matter what. I have thus far copied all LWPs into the downloads folder of the mSD card.
What am I doing wrong? How do I get these LWPs to work on my phone? Currently using FR007, kernel 2.6.32.21.

Hi!
Just recently I decided to take a photo, but in the camera app, it said, "Please insert an SDcard before using the camera."
It got me a little worried, so I checked the gallery, sure enough, "SDcard unmounted or not present"
Astro can also see all my files, but I can't move, or paste files because it gives me an error.
So I check my music, for some reason, all of it's there, and all of it plays normally.
I can't download things directly to the phone either because it gives me the error "Not enough space" but I can mount it to my PC and add files to it.
Can anyone help? I don't know what the problem is!
I am running Cyanogenmod 5.0.6, and tried going back to a nandroid restore I made before flashing the OC/UV kernel, but that still didn't work.
did you try removing sd and then putting back what steps have you tried already?
Yes I have tried removing and reinserting the sdcard, I'm going to try flashing a new ROM, or at least reflash CM5.0.6
I think it might also be the phone, as the sdcard will pop out if I pull out the battery, because it won't click anymore like it used to, but if this was really the problem, wouldn't the music not play?
hey there, did you ever find a solution to your problem. I get extremely frustrated when my SD card is not recognized. I have flashed and reflashed and re-reflashed, with two different roms, fresh and DC, it has done it with both, it HAS to be a hardware issue.
tried formatting the SD? Or deleting the folders android creates?
I had the same problem on my Evo a couple of times. I had connected it to my Mac and basically the Mac doesn't recognize it if you turn off USB storage from the phone - you have to eject the phone from the Mac or it gives an error, and apparently corrupts the sd card.
The fix is to connect your phone to a Windows computer, open Explorer, right click on the phone drive, click Properties, go to the Tools tab, run Check Now (make sure that Automatically fix file system errors is selected). This takes a few minutes, but it works - at least it has worked both times I had this problem.
Whenever trying to run gingerbreak api from file explorer....
Keep getting error "there is a problem parsing the package"
Right now, I am on CM6. I have tried CM7 but most games don't run well. On CM6, games run much faster, but sometimes apps don't install. For example, usually if an app is above 10mb in size, and you have some apps moved to the sd card, it fails to work. Also, I have installed a game, and I tried to move it to sd card, it failed so I uninstalled it, and whenever I try to re-install it, it says "Application not installed" Does anyone have any advice as to how I can fix this?
Thanks, and any help is appreciated.
Edit: Fixed, plugged into computer, deleted files in android.secure folder which had messed up sd card data probably and reflashed cm6 and installed. (Not sure if the reflash is necessary)
I'm running stock Android 2.2 and just rooted my phone yesterday. Since rooting my phone, I've had the following issues:
Cannot create a new folder on internal SD card ("The file '<%1 NULL:NameDest>' is too large for the destination file system") from computer while in mass storage mode (I can in media player mode)
Cannot copy/move files to internal SD card while in mass storage mode (I can in media player mode)
Cannot download from browser to phone using computer (I tried downloading an apk file from xda but it just kept trying to download.
Cannot download from mobile phone browser ("Cannot download. The content is not supported on the phone")
That's all I can think of for now, but you get the idea. I think it might have to do with the fact that I didn't unmount the internal SD card before rooting my phone (I don't think there's a way, but perhaps I rushed).
Is there any way I can fix this? Thanks in advance
Edit: It only affects the internal SD card. I put an external SD into it and it works fine.
I've been having pretty much the same issue since day one with this phone. While in Mass Storage, I cannot transfer files onto my phone. I can create/delete folders in the file tree though.
I would greatly appreciate any information you folks can come up with.
I have the same issues on a china-phone running 4.4.2 , is there any solution to this?
Also apart from these, but i think is due to the same bigger problem, i have some random issues with the gallery: it fails to load some images and it crashes.
Bluetooth transfer fails due to storage issues, yet i have some gbs free (internal or phone), and the files are just mbs.
I cannot copy some files from my phone to my pc, it keeps showing some errors (which appear to be due to FAT-FAT32 format, but in reallty i have no clue).
My phone is rooted, but it seems like i have no rights over the storage control... and that makes me real sad.
Any suggestions?

It's hard to help/support a phone we don't know about. What device do you have exactly? Which root did you use? Also, FAT32 isn't supported by quite a few devices, I would suggest using a different format.
I have an Mpie t6s, which i believe is kinda new cause i haven't been able to find anything on the net.
I have failed to create a backup due to "task ended with error" from MTKDroidtools, and i was trying to find a rom that works. I couldn't.
So now, i have it with the rom of a similar model, mpie 909t, but the problems remain.
I have sort-of realized that the gallery issue was created because i didn't ejected the drive from My Computer (yea, it has Mass Storage, and MTP, and camera mode when i connect it to PC.
I read that 4.4.2 and mass storage are not compatible, and it came to me.
I rooted it with iRoot that was the only that worked.
I removed all the Chinese &(@$^ but i kept iRoot's Superuser because i thought that with SuperSU all the problems where returning (that was before i realized the issue with mass storage and safe remove).

So i came to realise that the internal sd is 69MB (after i repartitioned it and made 2.5gb the interal for apks), so i think this is the main problem!
Formating via windows showed me that size, at first i thought it was something wrong (everywhere else in win the size was 29 GB) but now i manage to deal with that.
Prefer that than an always crashing phone.
ExtSD to the rescue!
ive been having this issue all day.
When i first installed and ran webtop2sd everything appeared to be fine. When i plugged my phone into the lapdock there was no webtop tho, just complete mirroring. Not what I wanted but cool just the same. After playing with it some I missed the interface that i had by default so i uninstalled webtop2sd.
Fine now, but the problem is that i WANT my webtop on my sd card. So I go back in and try again. Now everytime i run it it says extracting resources
then
extracting resources failed
When i go in to look at my sd card nothing is there ( I moved everything to my pc BEFORE running webtop2sd) but a empty .LOST file
Whats making it abort installation?
How can i tell if i have it running now?
did you make sure to partition your SD card first? you will not see any file on your SD card because it should be making another partition on it and sending the files to that.
thanks for the response!
yes i partitioned using the built in webtop2sd tool .
when i go to diagnostics it just says that webtop is mounted nothing else
i havent done webuntu yet. Just wanted to move the webtop to a bigger section so i could test intensive websites on the lapdock
when i first started the page would load partly then crash giving me the low memory error
Now it just crashes and throws no error
I flashed to 905 and ran webtop2sd.
This time it ran completely and told me to reboot the phone.
The issue is that when i go into the diagnostics
it says the custom busybox is NOT installed (even tho the box was checked in the advanced tab to install it if needed)
webtop configurator is not installed (which i guess is cool because the original thread said it was NOT needed for the bionic)
My currently mounted webtop is webtop
The only thing that changed is my mount executable version which is now
webtop2sd/2.0.0 when it was something like intelx12/2.0.0 or something like that
So am I running it correctly now?
Also as it is right now on stock rooted 905 memory manager says i have 41% memory remaining. Before on kinetx i averaged about 10% less or 30%
*Even after freezing bloatware and a reboot still at 41% free memory. No increase
lol sorry, unfortunately your not running it based on those readings. no worries though i ran into similar issues after messing with busy box
1- make sure if you have titanium backup that its not forcing its busy box over the webtops. (last menu all the way at the bottom). dont worry, it SHOULD say N for custom busy box, you want the one IT provides, custom would be V6 ram script required busy box for example.
keep in mind webtop2sd has its own linux boot script which unmounts the normal webtop and mounts the sdcard partition in its place. the original webtop never leaves' but there should be two webtops listed there. sounds like you hsve something coflicting with either staryup scripts or permissions are off
Hello folks.
I've been deleting files form SD card, using MTP. Deletion works without error, files are not shown any more.
However: The SD-card does not show any more free space as before the deletion.
Any suggestions?

Hello folks.
I'm wondering if my question is not clear.
I have 30MB left on my SD, even though I did delete a bunch of stuff.
I really could use a hint - would like to copy some new content to it, once I get more "free" space...
Well, how have things turned out?
You know about the extra restrictions regarding external storage added in Android 6. You can barely use the SD card as it is, let alone have Windows do things to it.
Have you tried checking the storage with a file manager? ES File Explorer and X-plore could be granted some sort of write permission - see if the files are still there and delete them through your phone - although those two have a recycle bin option, make sure you uncheck it first.
And start using Temasek's custom ROM in the first place. If you're using the SD card as much as I do, that's the only reasonable option when it comes to Android 6.
