All the modems on this page and any linked to from here are for the US Samsung Vibrant SGH-T959.
IF that is not your phone, DO NOT FLASH.
These are for Samsung based ROMS
Here are the modems both CWM flashable and ODIN flashable.
have fun, I have tested them, and they work!
Here's an interesting read for people who want to know which modem is better.

Modem Versioning:
Modems increase in major release by incrementing the alpha, and minor release by incrementing the numeric.
So, JI6 is more recent (and presumably better) than JI2.

You are the man.
We need a thread like this for the kernel's. And both to be in the Bible. I'll add this to both stickies soon.
Can we receive an update with Battery Life of the kernels, especially the 2.2 kernels?
For example for me it was
JK2 Great Battery, Not as good data
JK6 Good Battery, Good Data
JL1 Not so great battery, Great Data
Nice, thank you!

Just wondering, for the ODIN version of installing the roms. Aren't you suppose to download the file, extract the modem.bin, and place it into the "phone" section of ODIN, not the PDA? I always use the "phone" sectin to update the modem.
btw my title didn't make sense after I read it over. I meant, it is suppose to be phone section, not pda, right?
Nice to see all of the modems in one spot.

Stuck?
I am trying to install the modem using ODIN. Been 10 minutes and nothing seems to be happening.
My Vibrant is in download mode.
The last message in ODIN is moden.bin. I don't see any status or anything like that.
I am afraid to just pull the usb and brick my phone.
Help? Thoughts?
I have attached a screenshot of my ODIN app.

Yes. Just put it on your SD card and flash it. Once it's finished flashing, just reboot and you're done.

This is flashable through CWM as long as you remove some bloat. This will not flash as-is due to file size. I have kept everything in tact and will let the DEVS decide on what to eliminate.

no sh!t man i just flashed this on my vibrant and its awesome i took the chance and wow it didnt brick
So on the OP it says this WILL NOT WORK with the REGULAR VIBRANT.
Was it meant that "IT WILL NOT WORK WITH THE REGULAR VIBRANT"?
...or it will not work as is because of the file size and such?
but when it's properly done up, it will work?
People flashed this over their current Vibrant ROM? What's changed since KA7 leak?? Any info?
GladiAtrix for OLYFR_U4_1.2.6 v1
(Replacing Adeo)
Since designgears has left the Atrix community, I'll be taking over development of the Adeo rom. I've updated it with a cleaner installer that incorporates aRoot into it. This is good for anyone who doesn't want all the extra elements of GingerBlur, or are running 1.2.6. This has everything Adeo v0.2 and aRoot had, with a streamlined install that should help eliminate some of the issues people were having with ADB not recognizing the phone.
This is only for AT&T phones running firmware version 1.2.6. If you have 1.5.2 please go here: GladiAtrix for 1.5.2
Come chat with us!
Features:
Standard Features
Deodexed
Reboot Option/Recovery
Removed power options header
Ad Blocking
Unknown Sources checkbox
Preferred install location (internal, sdcard, let system decide)
Optional Features
Root
Tethering APN
Sideloading
init.d support
Installation instructions:
Read the instructions all the way through before starting
Read them again and make sure you understand them
Download the file from the link below
Extract the files to any folder
Connect your phone with USB debugging, set USB mode to none (unsure if this is required, but I always do it to be safe)
Run INSTALL.bat
Follow the on-screen instructions for rooting, sideloading, tethering APN, and init.d support, they are all optional.
Confirm installation of the ROM
Wait PATIENTLY for it to finish and reboot your phone
Read disclaimer below
DISCLAIMER: I've only tested this on my device. I ran it twice to be sure, once with aRoot already run, once without, both on fresh SBF reflash. I am not responsible if this bricks you.

Just FYI, I forgot to remove the 'rem' statement from the first line of the batch file. Everything still works, but if you don't want to see all the stuff it's doing in the background (gibberish to most people), find the line:
Code:
rem @echo off
and change it to:

it's the very first line of install.bat.

Well technically vibrant can flash i9000 roms with some minor issues like key mapping, sound path and gps.
This patch seems to take care of it (in a convenient way) and since ICS kernels seem to play nice it should work for all ICS roms.

Did you make sure its not a bad download.
Get the .zip on PC and open it with winRAR, if its corrupted/bad download it'll give you errors, if it says nothing, its good and the patch probably needs working on.
Thats really weird too, it should've just flashed right on and even if the patch didn't work, it should've booted up and the capac. buttons would've been flipped etc. no signal (kernel) those would've been issues that are known.
This is amazing documentation.

sorry but it is not the fault of patch if the rom is not flashing

I did flash the patch first. Rebooted into recovery and then tried flashing the ROM. No go. ROM flash failed. Why hasn't anyone else tried this patch? Sheesh...scaredy cats? I'm surprised I'm the only one so far...

Fine! I'll do it!
Haha but results may come later today.
Going to test on Infinitum 2.2
I'll update as soon as it boots up (hopefully).
Edit:
I got a Status 7 error
Seems like you can't flash something I9000 on a T959 recovery?

ATTENTION: Too many simultaneous checks by too many people break the leaker! When it is down, this is what happened. Just try again later then.
This "leaker" works the same way my SU660 ICS leaker worked. IF there are ANY P990 ICS leaks publicly accessable on LG's servers, then the leaker will automatically determine the URL - I shall give you 95% guarantee.
No bruteforcing. Leaks for 23 different LG customers will be checked. Just check once a day, more frequently shouldn't be necessary I guess.

If you know how to flash a .kdz just do this, if you don't know, you might prefer flashing the new leak with SmartFlash tool (like a BB):
First convert the .kdz to smartflash files (see OP/first post) and then flash it like described here: (alternatively here is a VIDEO TUTORIAL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCHRwKGTZTk)

Installing this file WILL fully wipe your device, including the Internal SD. Back up!
SmartFlash for P990 is for use on Windows PCs.
To use P990 flash to flash this baseband:
Download the utility file below
Download the driver file below
Run the SmartFlashTool_P990.exe application as Administrator on your PC
Turn device off, remove battery, plug device in while holding volume down - you should see a software update message on screen and the COM port should be filled automatically in the flash application below after installing the drivers if required.
Select the 'ROM Copy D/L' tab
Ensure 'Normal Mode' is selected
Ensure 'Erase CAL' is NOT selected
Click the browse button next to 'CP Bin:' and select the baseband (*CP.fls / *CP.bin) file
Click the browse button next to 'AP Bin:' and select the *AP.bin file
Click 'Start' and wait for the flash to complete

If you face an error in the middle of the installation, then re-plug the phone, start over but this time put the AP file in the CP bin box and the CP file in AP box.

What about rooting???
bitdomo - changed by me said:
I dont know is anyone rooted this ics leak but I managed to do it. It was a long process so took some time, but here is a rooted v28e (2012-11-09 20:45:47.0) system.img if you want save some time (or you just don't understand me ).Just extract the file put your phone into nvflash mode and run flash.bat. It won't wipe your data.
Here are the steps how i managed to get root acces:
If you already have a rooted system.img + NVflash package of the most current ICS leak:
Flash the ics rom (current leak)
download modified system.img package (for the current leak, same version and release date!) and extract it
Remove battery plug your phone to the computer while holding vol_down and vol_up buttoms.
Install the APX driver if needed
flash the rooted system image to your phone (= run flash.bat)
Done
CWM is not availabe since the bootloader is locked.
If you do NOT already have a rooted system.img + NVflash package of the most current ICS leak:
Download nvflash
Flash somehow an ics rom to your phone
Remove battery plug your phone to the computer while holding vol_down and vol_up buttoms.
Install the APX driver if needed
Run nvflash and save the system partition. It is the number 23
Open android_fastboot_emmc_full.cfg and edit the set the size of APP partition to 536870912 and add this line filename=system.img. Save changes and close it.
Get a cwm recorvery image from somehere and replace recovery.img with it in the nvflash folder
Run flash.bat
After it finished boot your phone into cwm
Download superuser package and put it to your sdcard and install it.
Put the phone into nvflash mode and save the system partition, it is number 6 in this case.
Flash the same ics rom again.
Put the phone into nvflash mode and flash the rooted system image to your phone, it's partition number is 23.
The phone at this point is half rooted. Only adb rooted.
Boot up the phone and enable USB debuging
Download the updated superuser apps copy su and superuser.apk to your sdcard.
Open an adb shell and type su
Mount system writeable
Delete su from these folders /system/bin and /system/xbin
Copy the new su from your sdcard to /system/xbin using this command
Code:
busybox cp /sdcard/su /system/xbin
Type these commands
Code:
chown 0:0 /system/xbin/su
chmod 6755 /system/xbin/su
ln -s /system/xbin/su /system/bin/su
Copy superuser.apk the same way to /system/app
Reboot

-radio works great
-Rom pretty fast and stable
-battery for me is perfect ( IMHO better than official CM10)
- wifi OK (no battery drain) and 3g works well (no data issues here!)
- very cool unlock theme
- no problems with games (Need for speed and dead zone are working well without lags)
- camera works!!! (new cool feature: say "cheese" and camera take a picture without touch anything!)
- google talk and video call works!
Now is official my daily use rom and the first real ICS experience until now!!!

BTW, i tried V28t a few hours ago and there was a bootsound, V20e has no bootsound for me.

The code is very simple. The reason neither I nor marsgod or George Jetson nor who else knows the code don't share this is that we don't want LG to change anything so we can't get any leaks.
The PHP script is mainly for protection of specific query URLs. And to parse responses and calculate file size and such things. But as I said a very simple script in general, nothing really worth to know details about.

And where it comes from.
From what I can remember the very first gingerbread leak was a Swisscom build. Chances are the P990 roms will be heading out for carrier testing any time now, but unfortunately they may not distribute them in quite such an insecure manner as SK Telecom.
Let's see if they will bring anything at all in 2012
Well done once again, Stef & George.
