[Q] How can I disable "after call summary" ? - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

These days I’m on vacation using a pre-paid connection. I actaved a data connection on it and started getting these usage summary notifications every few seconds (e.g: Data charge is xx.xx, your available balance is yy.yy, valid until dd/mm/yy). Its really annoying because if I keep the phone locked for like an hour I am presented with 50 odd such messages that I have to press OK before being able to use the phone . When I called the technical support, I was told that it is a phone feature usually called “After call summary” or “call summary”, that can be turned off from the phone itself. Since they don’t carry any android devices he couldn’t help me where to find it. I looked around myself, but couldn’t find anything . Can someone help me with this ? Thanks.

Guess no one knows about this feature or how to disable it?

some one help me with this too..

Hi. I don't think it's a device feature. And if it's a "call summary" then it shouldn't inform about data plan. Try searching for a disabling code on your operator's website.
I have a "call summary" enabled - it pops up after a call, and I can disable/enable it only with a USSD code defined by operator.

Remove Call Summary Screen on Verizon Galaxy 8
I was getting an annoying call summary screen on my Galaxy 8s. It appeared to have the green android messaging icon in the call summary and splash screen. I use the Verizon massaging app. I therefore disabled the android messaging app and the issue disappeared. If you have another android, see if you can replace the android messaging app prior to disabling it.

Tweak for post-call notification bubble

I use a prepaid Airtel connection (Chennai, India). After every call or SMS I get this annoying bubble popping out of the phone icon in the task-bar after every outgoing call or message. It reads - "Your last call cost was XX.XX + offers from the service provider".
Can anybody help me with a tweak to get rid of this bubble?
Thank you in advance.

Hello guys
I am also very frustrated with this issue. Every time I send/receive a phone call or text message, that damn notification bubble pops up with my minutes and messaging usage. There's got to be a registry tweak that will disable this function.
I have been searching for hours on a solution to this matter. I am a proud user of the xda-developers website and never once had to post for help thanks to the wealth of information and communities strong support on these forums. So, on that note, I am sure that one of you genius developers/researchers must have a solution to this problem. Hopefully...
PLEASE HELP
That "notification bubble" isn't one, it's actually a message sent by the network operator. AFAIK you can't disable those on the phone for obvious reasons.
The operator however might have an option to disable that.

MightyText app questions, how is this working?

Maybe more of a hardware question than an app question, but it happens with this particular app. I needed a texting app for my stock K1 running LP 5.1.1
I decided upon MightyText as I didn't want another phone number as some of the other apps provide. MightyText syncs my phone and the K1 within seconds. If I get a text to the phone, I get a notification on the tab within a second or two. Same happens if I send a text from the tablet, I get a notification on the phone again within a second or two. I realize that the phone is using it's cellular radio to send the text. Phone is a rooted LG Optimus G Pro running KK.
Here's where it gets strange! If I turn off WiFi and BT on the phone, when I write a text on the tablet and hit send, my phone receives and sends the text. WiFi and BT are still off. I looked to see if the app was somehow turning the radios on, on the phone, but it looks like they are staying off (unless they are coming on for a fraction of a second). I'm trying to figure out how the tablet is communicating with the phone if the radios are turned off. Also, the app has a phone icon. if I hit the phone icon on the tablet app, the phone makes a call to whoever I happened to be texting. I cannot talk through the tablet (I don't think), but the call does go through. I'm unsure what the functionality of this item is...why would I want the tablet to initiate a phone call when I cannot talk through the tablet?
Phone radio you mean phone, internet (3G/4G) here?
Mighty text working through network/internet. I will take simple explanation like this. SMS -> your phone -> SMS send to mighty text service -> mighty text service passes it to your table. Similar your tablet sends the text -> text go to mighty text service -> Mightytext service passes it to your device AND to the receiver on your behalf.
MightyText function like a bridge to connect your phone and other device and running through the internet.
Once your device connects with MightyText service, MightyText will become a behalf assistant to receiving and send your message.
Thats mean your sensitive information will be readable by a 3rd person (or group person who know?)

Verizon note 8 on AT&T Calling error!

Hey everyone,
I have a bit of a weird issue here. I have a note 8 from Verizon which everyone knows comes unlocked. I am using it on AT&T and everything works well except for one thing. For some reason when I receive phone calls from people, it shows on the screen with a + sign in front of the phone number. So if someone calls me that is in my contact book, it will not show their name since there is no + sign in my contact book. So also now in my call history if I try to call that number back it sounds like it is trying to make an international call. I have no idea what is happening. Data, texts and calls work but instead of getting a call from 9999999999 I get +9999999999.
Please help me out here, I love the phone!!
Zachary
I've read about this issue before. Googling 'incoming calls show +' gives you some leads.
In short it seems to be related to Dialling Assistance settings (note spell error, is as in settings...). I couldn't find those via the regular settings (used to be accessible via settings in Phone app), but I could via the app 'Shortcut Master (Light)' ...
Search for 'dialing' and then launch:
'com.android.phone.operator.usa.AssistedDialingActivity'. My settings (N950U1) are as per SS...
Try playing with these settings.

Question Xiaomi SIM Activatio Service Help: Can't Activate SMS Sync & Call History Sync

Hi all,
I apologise in advance for the length, but was wondering if anyone had encountered this issue, and what they did to resolve it, if so.
The above errors come from the Xiaomi SIM Activation Service.
I'm running MIUI 12.5 Enhanced (CN ROM), 12.5.12.
A few days ago (from September 10th on), I started noticing errors with message and call history sync. Message sync would say "failed to get SIM info", while call history sync would simply say it was interrupted, and to try again. Of course, trying again for both never did anything.
Prior to this, I never had any issues with syncing call history or messages to the cloud.
Troubleshooting
• I've tried wiping the phone, rebooting, and trying with different SIMs, including logging out and back into my Mi Account.
• My providers have confirmed no issues sending the SMS's from their end, I have enough credit, and no "send/receive international SMS block" in place.
• Some solutions on the Internet say to enable data roaming and reboot, which didn't work. They also speak of allowing all permissions for the SIM Activation Service - (unless I am missing something), there are no permissions to allow, they simply don't appear when I look at the Service in "Apps", under Settings.
Outcome
Effectively, this means I can't sync my messages and call history to the cloud - this is also replicated across multiple MIUI smartphones that I use as testbeds, and a bug report has been submitted to Xiaomi.
All other sync services work fine.
The only thing I can do now, is periodically backup messages and call history to external storage.
Anyone have any ideas I can try, please?
Yesterday, after a read xiaomie installation, I had the same problem, I could not activate the SIM card and synchronize sms.
Today I set the language of the English UK and US region. I turned on mobile data and turned off wifi.
Such a liking was able to activate the SIM.
Unfortunately I get sms sync error, maybe it's a bug on the xiaomi server side. But the activation was successful.
Very simple answer. Sorry to say- I have taken service providers to the ombudsman. It's the service provider. They prevent the Sim identification and also international SMS from going through. Xiaomi, in their complicity, have taken away the feature showing the international SMS (it is now just one bar, not two). Phone says under device "Sim card not installed or activated"...yet it is. So, they prevent that at Optus, AMAYSIM, Vodafone.. whomever. They ALL do it. Why? They don't have anything better to do and enjoy the power, control and frustrating the ship out of customers. If you search the internet, if you have service, yet can't sync call history and SMS, it is the SERVICE PROVIDER GAMING YOU! WELCOME TO PLANET EARTH.
Also, it prevents call recording. Great game master controllers.

Question Can anyone confirm Pad has native working Call & Text functionality?

Just like a phone. I've seen the icons in pics- but they could just be stubs for call \ sms originating from a separate phone.
TIA
PS also wondering what if insert in this the SIM from a Home Internet Gateway...
We will know once Multi-Screen Connectivity become available and functional, but it should be capable as there are those apps pre-installed in the Pad.

Thanks. Although those apps are sometimes only shortcuts for continue phone call & sms on your computer \ laptop.
Most Samsung tablets will make & receive texts as soon as carrier SIM inserted, but it's tossup whether Dialer will natively call or need a paired phone.
Kinda encouraged Oppo tablet makes calls.
The dialer app on the oneplus pad only allows for google meet video and audio calls and the messaging app does nothing, you can try to send a sms but it just says "You may be able to send after inserting a SIM"
The mobile network settings are also disabled and do nothing.
This makes the software experience feel half baked and rushed.

I missed your reply. I'm about to activate it next day or two. I already have a cheap Phablet going with full calling & texting both ways- so at least know carrier isn't blocking anything.
I have no Network settings section at all- I've assumed they would appear upon adding a plan \ be ota'd by carrier.
And I hope the the vaunted connection sharing works both ways \ esp. Pad giving to phones. That would be one of its best values- we have Unlimited Tablet plans for $10.
PS Multi-Connectivity (13.1 Update) has arrived to Pad and phone models 8 thru 11.
Cellular Data Sharing is coming I believe sometime in June right?
(Good Luck trying to ask the idiots at OnePlus support lol!!)
Just got an update on the pad, hopefully that functionality is there .
