I do hope I'm in the right section. I figured this would be the best place since it's the developers who would most likely be able to assist me with my request.
I'm looking to play around with learning some basic ROM modding (for personal use, not to release anything publicly) and would like to start with a clean copy of JJ4. I can't find it anywhere. I searched for a solid half hour on XDA and google. The closest I've found is the optimized JJ4 ROM that has been released here on XDA. I was wondering if anyone might have a link to either an ODIN or Clockwork version of the ROM. Thanks!

Thank you very much for the link. Like I said, I searched forever and it never came up. I have no idea how or why it didn't show up. I guess maybe I should have tried "I897UCJJ4". I only tried "JJ4" and "UCJJ4".

Is direct push still working for eveyone on cingular, I tried today to see if it was still working and couldnt get a message to come through, i've ran it many times b4, just checking in.

Go with the AKU 2.3 ROM for now..2.5 will take awhile.
As for uh I just forgot your original question. Oh yeah, DP. It's working swimmingly for me. Here comes the usual troubleshooting question:
Could anything have change related to your Exchange server, either the server itself, or perhaps networking changes? (You know how IT likes to play with firwall rules randomly to dork with the users..)
Can you do a manual sync over ther air?

he's a busy guy, go with 2.3 for now.
my push mail works fine today.
I've been using mail2web.com and worked in the past unless they changed something, and yes I can sync over the air

I vaguely remember reading a thread about one of the public push providers making a change. I don't recall the exact details but I believe it was related to SSL. Perhaps a search on "mail2web" will turn up relevant posts.

Can someone with a download server post the RUU exe for those of us that want to download from here so that we can get at it there are some screwy things going on at HTC's site prompts for ftp credentials and the like. The likely hood of us actually rooting a 2.1 build is there, but it is going to take a long time. Someone with the know how is going to have to either A. Buy a Hero - unlikely after June 4th or B. A dev will take the dive a load it just to find root.
Eris only has root because of a rom that was leaked with root still in it. They were never able to find an exploit.
Droid guys are actually having to load there 2.0.1 OS back to root the new ones.
It is entirely possible that this phone never finds root again.

Thanks for the mirrors guys it finally came thru now I'm just trying to download htc sync to my work pc so I can update... I'm not too worried about root, blah, blah. Someone will crack it at some point when there's something better to do with it. I'm putting 2.1 on my phone to hold me over until I can upgrade to the EVO or Nexus One once Sprint get's it .

I can use command prompt etc, and i have done a bit of programming. So, could you guys link me to some useful tutorials or even teach me yourself? Thanks guys!
BTW, my ultimate aim would be a fully functioning ICS Rom!

Well, first i took a Galaxy Nexus ICS rom, which someone kindly ported already, and I fixed up GPS and MMS (I think).
But just about an hour ago, i took IceColdSandwich, and I am going to see if i can do any good with it

look your making it harder than it has to be .. if you flashed one rom you can flash any rom
you just hook your phone to the mac and copy the stock rom to your phones SDCARD and install it from recovery ... this simple stuff
