Hey how r u guys , hope fine
i overclocked my galaxy to 1.3 when i was using Froyo 2.2
you know , So Zimage V4.4 Kernel , through Odin , and it worked just fine
but that kernel is not working with Cyanogenmod beta3 , i tried HCDR Kernel and it dosent work as well
when i open SETCpu it shows just 1000 , and Voltage control keep telling me that there is no kernel
I really love Cyanogenmod speed even when it beta , i want to see my galaxy fly by when it overclocking
so i need your help guys
With cm cpu scores about 4000 on quadrant, why do you need overclocking? Would you like to see the top of the android mountain? ))

Hummingbird + Optimized CM + High Overclock =/= Highest benchmark scores.
That area is for the Tegra2's and OMAP4400's to scuffle over, not to mention Orion or ST-Ericson.
Btw, the LG Star really makes the Nexus S look like a joke. And that PSPhone had better be an iPhone 4 murderer.
Dual cores, of course, will set a new altitude for the peak, and I'm looking forward to seeing Orion at work ))

Yah, my nexus one whit stock android 2.3.4 GRJ22 only get 1066 score on the Quadrant, and quadrant says that nexus one whit froyo get 1300 points.
Why i get low score?? I use advance task killer before i run the benchmark
Even i restart and use android booster, and i get same score.
My Xperia x8 whit froyobread whit out OC and Jit, does 1030 score.
Sorry 4 my bad englis
And one thing, does de nexus one will get next android upgrades?? Like IcreamSandwish, really dont remember the name XD.
sO.. THX!! FOR ALL
2.3.4 has reduced benchmark scores for some reason for everybody. I just live with it.
thx man!! i will have to live whit it XD
Benchmark scores mean nothing. Your experience is what matters. If everything is fast and stays snappy, what do numbers count for?

Is there a kernel that can deliver ridiculous performance but on extremely low voltage like the TEUV kernel for the nexus s?
Underclocked CPU at 800mhz and overclock bus/gpu at 220mhz?
Couldn't you have at least linked us to the kernel in the Nexus forums?
Or asked where you should have?

Bali does lower voltages by default, though on any kernel you can set the underclock and undervolt using SetCPU manually.

in short NO.... BUT, if you venture far enough away from stock Samsung crap and flash pure CM7.1 stable or newer and then flash to Glitch kernel you can get impressive performance on electrical fumes as well as underclock/overclock/undervolt to your hearts content. I'm not familiar with TEUV or the Nexus S, but CM7.1 plus Glitch is as good as its ever going to get on the Vibrant. This is assuming your willing to work on the voltages yourself. Otherwise Bali 2.2.2 will give you the best undervolted performance imo, but its not stable for me... Im currently on CM7.1 #163 using Eugenes Streamline stable kernel and Im thoroughly impressed with the smoothness and stability of my undervolted Vibrant. Today my nephew broke out his new Sensation and showed me quads of 2200, so I broke out my year and a half old Vibrant and showed him 2600-2700 quads, lol it was soooo epic... That's what he gets for not learning how to root and flash roms/kernels... haha
So I'm currently using Fasty kj3 edition 1.2 and I'm hitting about 1.8~2k with 1ghz
and about 2~2.3k with 1.3ghz. My friend has a vibrant and he is hitting 3.7k~4k overclocked 1.3ghz.. How is he doing this? He has cynogenmod + some kernal. To be honest, I'm kind of jelly. Is there a way to get really high quadrant score? perhaps an app that somehow displays a high score? Thanks for the help.
Quadrant scores are meaningless in comparison to other phones. They are a good comparison with your own phone on itself (after different tweaks, OC, etc). Im using Boog's Fusion Voodoo kernel @ 1.2ghz OC/UV and I clock 2700-2800 on quadrant. I've gotten higher with Corn and a few Init'd tweaks before (2900-3000). But like I said its meaningless.
Yea but still :/
do you mind sharing some of your tweaks? I also have corn kernal I belive
Basically based of dsexton702 S.A.S. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236779. It doesn't always work. You need to figure out wich one is it if it doesn't. Also Im Overclocking and undervolting on my phone with a paid app ^_^; I cheated and didn't wait for source code for kernel support.
Thanks for the help
thank'd
Mod Pm'd
On a side note to let you know how easily it is manipulated, I was on stock KJ3 RFS file system, no OC/UV, no init.d tweaks. I can enter ONE CODE IN TERMINAL EMULATOR THEN GET OVER 3000 IN IT!!!!!!!

Hi there!
I'm new to the Optimus 2x rom stuff. I used a Galaxy Spica before, which I rooted and installed some nice roms on.
On my LG it seems that the custom-roms I chose so far make no difference in speed compared to the stock rom.
Quadrantscore: ~2200 with WIUI 2.5.25 Stable (GB) and ETaNa STOCK_LITE 2.6.32 which is (according to Quadrant) below the O2X.
In some rom-threads I see scores of about 4000-6000 how do I reach that? Did I do something wrong?
greetings, and thanks for your tips
reijin
//PS.: I'm aware, that those scores are not a prefect representation of how the overall experience with a Rom is, but I'd like to know. At least the new Rom feels way better then the original stock rom.
Yeah it's a bit strange. I'm using cm7 on mine, the general performance is really nice and fast no complaints from me but running quadrant benchmark I get scores of around 2200-2300. My friends o2x hits scores closer to 3000 on the same rom. Both using temasek's kernel too.

I only have experience with ICS ROMs and kernels, but I can testify I've consistently had quadrant scores >4000. It's a complicated mix of the hardware you have (no two o2x's are the same), whether your kernel allows overclock, how optimized the io is, etc.

try to use antutu benchmark and see your score. and you're using stock lite which is 1.0ghz the clock. if you want to get higher score try HOC lite, and use OC/UV programs to control your clock cpu. i use pimp my cpu profile i set:
- daily freq: 216-1015MHZ.
- bench freq (like antutu, quardrant, necore, vellamo, and so on): 216-1418MHZ.
- and so on, what ever profile you want
You used spica and you don't know this basics?
Spica's angry anboys can tell you.
I can say that high quadrant scores can be resulted when IO rate is very high. You can cheat quadrant at it will think IO rate is high but it won't make phone a formula 1.
Use app2ad or something that uses ext partition and then run quadrant.
I am afraid y used spica and didn't know it.

With CM9 Harsh kernel i have in Quadrant 3200 points
Gingerbread:
Launcher Pro, no animstions in system, kernel hd,rom jeally cream, Fast & Lite or Italian Job ,Cpu frills (performance, deadline), class 10 card. Score in benchmark: quadrant 2500, antutu 6500, RD 3D benchmark 30fps, GL 2.5HD Egypt - not pass
Lags in games: Amazing spiderman, dark knight rises, bad company 2, dead triger on ultra high, Vice City on Max , Asphalt 6 with sgs2 build.prop, and nova 3 on Max (sgs2 build.prop)
System is very very fast.
Jelly Bean:
Holo Launcher HD, no animations in system, cpu frills (performance, deadline), class 10 card. Score in benchmark: quadrant 2900, antutu 6700, RD 3D benchmark 48fps,GL 2,5HD benchmark- pass,13fps.
Lags in games- ONLY! dark knight rises
System is fast.
+JB repairs bugs in graphics in: Willd Blood,Antutu 3d test and Fifa 12 sound problem.
Can someone tell my why jelly bean is so fast in aplications/games? I have on my settings 30/40% boost. I can feel project butter in apps like Facebook,Opera browswer but why games go so fast?
Uhh, what's the point of this thread?
I want to know what is difrence betwen GB and JB in this case. What JB do with smartphone to get better performance than GB.

Project Butter would be the first difference, also the increase in RAM. I also think JB "unlocked" some features in the CPU and GPU since GB is too old and Ace II has a little more recent HW than when GB was released. More or less, JB has more "under-the-hood" tuning compared to GB. Though I strongly believe that ALL questions belong in the Q & A thread.
Show me wheare I can get answer on that in Q & A thread ,please...(link?)

New jelly bean for ace 2 makes ace 2 work slow. I have rooted the ace 2 with jelly bean so i can control cpu to speed it up a little. but i only get permission for 200mhz min and 400mhz max. not 800? i thought this device was 800mhz dual core. I do not know what these findings mean? i am thinking of going back to its original GB.

Maybe you should ask the Galaxy Ace 2 community and not the Galaxy Ace

Which clock app are you using?
