HELP!! i have an LG GT540 and really want to be able to save applications onto the sd card, i have tried practically every guide out there but to no avail,
does anyone have a guide THAT WORKS and that has a LG GT540 Optimus, and managed to SUCCESSFULLY move their apps onto their sd card?

Wondering if anybody here can help me out. I was cleaning out and backing up my SD card yesterday. Since then I have not been able to install anything straight to my SD card (installation unsuccessful error).
Apps will install to the phone and I can move them back and forth if App2SD is enabled. This is only a problem when space is low and it automatically installs to SD. Did I delete something needed on the SD card? Am I just stupid?

I am having the exact same problem. cannot update an app that is on the sd card. Also cannot download an app that installs directly to sd card (for instance angry birds, had to start phone up without sd to install then reinsert sd and move app there. Using nexus one unrooted 2.2 if anyone knows a way to fix this please let me know
Update: okay so i moved all of my files to my computer from my sd. Formatted the memory card. And now it works again

I want to use SD Card as Internal Memory so that I can install more and more apps.
I already have apps2sd but it doesn't send all apps to SD Card so, Still we have to stop downloading apps. But I think by rooting there is a way EXT2 (Partitions of SD Card) like this only. I want the guide over this Please give me the guide.

After i installed cyanogenmod 7 on my optimus 2x, i only borrowed an microsd card of a friend to install it. After I gave it back, im not able to save any files, nor take any pictures with my phone. seems like some settings that is set to only save on sd cards. how to fix?
Try when the camera is on, press the menu and scroll down to storage at the bottom and check that is on internal sd card.
CM7 is designed to use an SD card. You'll need to look in the dev section to swap integral & external SD mounts.
Are there any other fast roms, such as modaco or something, that is not designed to only save content on sd cards? I dont have an sd card, so I can only borrow one when installing
You can fix CM7 pretty easily. It's just a zip to flash.
MoDaCo works like stock though and defaults to the internal SD.
I use fr17 and is mega quick and stable

Which version of SuperOneClick do you use?
The most recent version using zergrush-method to root might wok, but older version surely don’t work on the LG GB-Roms.

Thank you Medizinmann....but after using the CM7 i cant see my internal SD card,only the external is showing....but the music and other things placed in internal SD are showing in music,gallery and in video list.......need help again in this......

Yes, CM7 is handling the SD card differently than stock...
It prefers the external card since this one is bigger than the internal card.
You could either copy you stuff to the external card (either using a computer or file explorer like Ghost Commander or Total Commander ) or try go to settings > cyanogenmod > apps > use internal memory(instead of external sd card)…
There is a thread about stock mount fix for CM7 but I don't have the link handy.
I would prefer saving everything to external card anyway since it is a lot bigger.
