How do I get themes to work on stock jpu...rooted...with a cwm kernel? Speedmod or voodoo not bothered..
As the roms that are out on jpu are all nowhere near as nippy and stable as stock jpu. Does it have to be deoxed??? Is there a stock jpu deoxed non tweaked/messed with Rom?

i recently upgraded to 2.3.3 JVO. is safe to go back to JVH to be able to flash darky's rom??
I dont think that would be a problem. I flashed JVO, then flashed Simply Honey 3.5 (JVH), and back to Juwe 4.3.1 (JVH).
Hi recently I installed Darky 10.1 and IMHO my deodexed JVO was much better, and now when I noticed that hardcore have a final kernel for gingerbread I think deodexed JVO + speedmod for gingerbread will be a winner here.
How do I go back from Darkys Rom to stock JVO? Do I need to remove the lagfix? or I cant flash the stock JVO with bootloader and re-partition, then flash deodexed JVO?
Thanks!
Somebody? I'm really worried about if I need to disable lagfix or not (assuming Ill flash stock JVO with bootloader).
Just a quick question: I have a stock JVQ rom on my Samsung galaxy S and I recently installed Semaphore's JVQ 1.3.3 kernel. I am wondering if its possible to install the new Semaphore JVS 1.7.0 kernel on my JVQ rom phone.
Yes you can flash 1.7.0
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Hey, i'm wondering. Why is it possible ? I'm new to that Kernel installation thing. I run darkys rom with its own darkcore kernel 2.9.3 which is a jvq kernel with a jvq rom and afaik they say it isnt possible to run darkcore 3.1 for example which is for jvr.
so can you explain why its possible ?
Hi
I've been using the Stock 2.3.4 (JVP) ROM, with CF-ROOT 3.7 (JVP based) Kernel (for root privileges) for a long time now...
Now, I wanted to try the Semaphore Kernel (for voodoo sound, better battery life, etc).. but, the latest Semaphore Kernel is a JVT based Kernel.
So my question obviously is, Can i flash the latest Semaphore Kernel (1.9.0) over my existing JVP based ROM without any issues??
if not, what would be more productive, Switching to a JVT ROM altogether? OR Finding some older version of Semaphore for JVP?
(I really dont wanna loose all my apps etc, its too cumbersome to install them again even if its using the titanium backup..)
(then again, an older version of kernel wont be supported, and may cause issues..)
dont know much about JVP but i've tested stock JVS rom before together with TalonDEV, Galaxian & Semaphore kernels respectively and had no problems.
TalonDEV is ext4 autoconvert
Galaxian is compatible with ext4 (convert manually)
Semaphore is compatible with ext4 (convert manually)
I'm on Semaphore now, running flawlessly.
Thank you
Do you know if the latest semaphores 2.1.1 can be flashed over stock JVT?
I have LP6 kernel, i'm thinking of switching to another kernel say Abyss kernel.
If in future i flash the stock fimware via odin, will it revert to the LP6 kernel?
Yes.
And by the way AbyssNote is gingerbread kernel it will not work on LP6 ICS
cool. because im thinking of switching to some of the ICS roms and those requires also a change of kernel.
Good to know that i can revert back to the LP6 kernel with the stock firmware from sammobile
