- No problem with the Panels (I like the idea), but maybe panels like the "fish" panel (which is realy useless in my opinion as a seperate cab)

Nette Idee, nur würde ich mir ein Rom wünschen was wirklich deutlich schneller und funktioneller wie das orginale ist, ich bezweifle das wenn es mit Panels und Manila vollgepackt ist wirklich einen Vorteil bringt.
Ein deutsches Android Rom wäre auch mal eine nette Idee.
I will wish a realy faster Rom than the orginal, but i think Panels and Manila is to much, for a better performence then other roms.
But, wish u luck ..i will test it on "streetday"
Well, I don't see the point in stripping the X1 ROMs down too far - since the X1 has more than enough RAM for multitasking. I didn't have any performance problems with my original ROM and neither with this one.
Please note, I built this for personal use and included the apps from blackstone which I needed or wanted. I will sort out bugs as far as I can arrange that with my free time, but don't count on it.
As for myself I don't need any Android ROM - at least for now with limited number of applications ...
i agree, i first used the rom from here where the extra stuff gets removed, but heh it doesnt bring me anything that i have more free space, because i cant get it full at all , the only thing i hope because it is really crap, i would like to see that the mediafiles gets removed because they are crap and eat up space without an reason, but thats it at all. So i will try your Manilla build but personaly i am waiting for without Manilla because i will use the full SPB Shell.

ok only fyi, i tried out your rom and i have to say great work on it
2 things i dont like about it.
the Taskmanager isnt removeable maybe you can make that out of the rom and give an extra cab?
on email it seems that sliding up down doesnt work, any idea on that, anyway its not an big issue.
i installed for Touchflow the Panelcab so now i dont have to use it so for me it is great now, only the two things i dont like.

1.) Set up Active Sync is very hard looks like the same problem as here
2.) Missing the Blackstone Keyboard

i have flashed your rom, but i have the same problem like the other roms. i can not connect to the a1 data network. i got everytime a error on connecting to "!live", but the settings are correct. with the original image it works and with the last [13.12.08] Touch-IT Xperience v1.0 (Build 20757)

i had the same problem. But after three or four reboots the phone connected to "live!". Since this reboots the problem never came back again.

i restarted 10 times and nothing happens. the settings in the connection is correct. but i don't no whats the problem with A1 (Vodaphone) and the roms. only a few works
a wish feature is to build in a time syncronisation tool. after every flash you must set the time and date bevor you can connect to your exchange.
Sorry, can't test what the problem with vodafone live is. Should work, since all ROMs have the same database for network-settings. Maybe a certificate or something is missing, which is present in the original A1 ROM.
Did you check all settings manually after running the connection wizard?

same problem here, there must be something special with the a1 !live network because I have the problem also on my dell latitude 6400 with integrated wwan and original dell software.
with a 3 sim there is no problem in both devices.
connection settings are 100% correct
is it posible that there is a special settings in the firmware? in any firmare a1 works perfect and on other the dataconnection has a lot of problems. if any rom dev is in vienna, we can check this.
well, you would need to dump your original rom and take a look. maybe the settings are in an extra package inside the OEM folder (after dumping) which would make it easy to implement into other roms.
The Rom is based on X1i_GENERIC_DE_CDF1215-3303_R2AA006 which is the new official SE Rom for Germany, i tried to get the best performance out and to make it without any bugs.
I looked about an difference between GENERIC-AT and GENERIC-DE and i cant find an really difference, i will from now only build based on GENERIC-DE.
Feel free to give me some comments.
This wont be the last build, i still wanna change some little things.
Dont ask about an Manilla Build, because i wont do it, because i dont like it hehe

Activesync Tutorial
1. You MUST have Hard-SPL on your Xperia
2. Download my custom rom from the Thread
3. Unpack with winzip/winrar
4. Connect your Xperia with PC (Activesync, or enter Bootloader) Be sure you are connected..
5. Click the ROMUpdateUtility, follow the onscreen instructions.
6. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE DEVICE DURING FLASH PROCESS
6.1 Its always recommended to do a HARD-RESET after flashing a new Rom
7. Let the process finish with customization, do the setup and enjoy.

Q: my data.bob Connection only use the mms settings and i cant connect to the Internet
A: Goto Einstellungen => Verbindungen => Verbindungen => open your "Verbindung" data.bob with "Bestehende Verbindungen verwalten", now go to "Proxyeinstellungen and remove the "Dieses Netzwerk verwendet einen Proxyserver", after that all should work!
Q: my HDSPA Connection doesnt work? (bob, A1 Mobilkom)
A: Goto Einstellungen => Verbindungen => Erweiterte Einstellungen => GPRS and change PAP-Identifizierung to CHAP-Identifizierung, after that connect to your provider, if it works then disconnect, go now again to Einstellungen => Verbindungen => Erweiterte Einstellungen => GPRS and change it back to PAP-Identifizierung, now it should work
Q: How can i remove the HTC Enlarge Start Menu
A: You need an Registry Editor, i use SK Tools because there i can save keys also and restore them if needed , just delete \HKLM\Services\EnlargeStartMenu, now restart your X1 and it should be away

If you flash an Rom which comes with UC Support, then you have the option to install your favorite apps, and also change some configs on first boot up after flashing, the files can be located on your Storagecard, an SDConfig.txt will start the installation, because it search for it , if it finds an SDConfig.txt on your SD Card then it will install everything you add.

HeHe weiss nicht, aber irgendwo muss er liegen weil sonst wuerde es nicht 2 Versionen geben , ist eh egal baue gerade ein German Build.

This Kitchen can handle BUILD UPGRADES and OEM UPGRADES
There is no need for a "new kitchen"
OEM UPGRADE:
- Use the "dump nbh" button and dump a new german ROM (let's say Deutsch R3A, or Austrian R3A, whatever)
- A new folder "dump" will be created
- Inside you will find new OEM and EXT folders: replace current OEM and EXT folders with these ones !!!
or... import OEM - EXT folders from another VK kitchen
XIP|SYS BUILD UPGRADE:
\"newbuildnumber"
- Replace SYS\"newbuildnumber" folder with new build one
- Replace ROM\SHARED folder with new build one
- Rename ROM\kovsky\21812\ to ROM\kovsky\"new build number"\
You can obtain "new build number" folders from dumping a newer ROM or from another VK kitchen, just be sure to replace 0409 LANG folders with proper ones
Just make sure "boot.rgu" matches your desired language, or edit it and search for the 2 LANG strings and change them

I didn't cook over R3A because I had R2A in-hand here, and I have not read about aany major improvement in deutsch R2A -> R3A
can somebody please ellaborate a little, and tell me WHICH major improvements can we get by using R3A ???

other option: once I finish uploading the kitchen, anybody can dump a R3A and make the R3A version
The only thing I know about the German R3A and that I also had (I used it for about 20min then switched back to a 6.5 ROM) was that some things seem to be a bit faster, let's say it that way, I never heard bad things about the R3A, no big or special improvements but a lot of people say it has a better performance...
I didn't flash a custom rom on my xperia yet, but I am checking this forum everyday and wm6.5 looks pretty nice already and from the feedback people give, it's already very stable and pretty much bugfree. So...could be any day now.

I flashed yesterday your english wm6.5 rom, but I have big problems in writing SMS.
I don't know why, but I have always SPACES in my words and so on. Hope that I won't have the same problem on this rom.

Why do you want to import the XIP from the Swiss ROM? There is already a XIP for Xperia in the ROM-folder, doesn't matter if it is from English, German or Swiss ROM.
Just copy the English package from voicecommand to the EXT packages folder.
When in kitchen:
- select device (click away error)
- EXT, SYS and XIP are already correct
- double click EXT packages to select/deselect (you can do the same with SYS package but the risk of your ROM not working correctly is bigger, so don't mess with SYS too much unless you know what you're doing)
- click create ROM to start building your ROM
yes, a german 6.5 rom, thats great!!! thank you! what i don't like in the german translation, is that in CHome the first letters of the words are written big (hope you know what i mean). that looks horrible! i'm currently download the kitchen, hope there is a chance to change this.

First of all thanks to ShaDrac for this amazing driver!
Hi,
this is a new series of my roms. It´s basicly a vanilla rom, which can be customized with cabs that I provide. The special think about this rom is, that it´s running with ShaDrac's great Extendir filter driver. If you were using a lite rom and installed several apps, the rom can become very slow, espcially if you install sth. like Manila which puts a lot of files into your windows folder. With Extendir you will have the following advantages:
-The rom is more customizable, you decide what you you want and what not
-No rom update need is needed for bug fixing, just update the bugged package
-No performance decrease if you install big packages, the boot time of this rom is even faster (with alle provided packages installed) than my cooked roms
-According to the author of this driver, the device should have a better battry life
-more to come
Of course there are some disadvantages:
-Ther´s no compression of the files like in cooked roms (XPR, LZX etc.) that means, that the storage consumption is much higher than a cooked rom.

How to install:
First download the "Basisrom", "Base Packages" and "Preset installer", extract the "Base Packages" and put it into your root directory of your storage card e.g "\Speicherkarte\Extendir". Put he preset installer in the same directory. Create a folder called "Presets".

If you´ve done this put your card into your device. Then flash the "Basis", after you calibrate your screen, the preset installer will appear, hit next until you see the overview of all packages. Package WiKi/Dependeny Overview:
This is an overview of the standard packages. You have to install the all packages in the "Basis" folder, don´t skip one of them!
If there´s a bracket like "()" after the name of a package, you have to install the named packge e.g "Opera Mini 4 (Java)", this means, that you have to install Java if you want to use Opera Mini 4. Another example "HTC Kamera (Fullscreen Player)" means that you have to install Fullscreen Player to run the HTC Kamera properly.
If there´s a bracket like "[]" after the name of a package, you don´t have to install the named package in the bracked seperately e.d "Manila 2.5 [HTC Album], this means that HTC Album is already included into the Manila 2.5 package.

Ok, schöner neuer (relativ leerer) Thread, neuer User (ich) mit grade frisch zugelegtem xperia.... Dann wollen wir doch mal ^-^
Also, ganz von Vorn. Ich bin neu hier, ich habe grade mein allererstes HTC-gebautes Gerät (mein X1) erhalten und ich hab noch keinerlei Ahnung vom ROM flashen. Ich hätte gerne ein (bevorzugt deutsches) ROM das etwas besser aussieht als das xperia standard. Manila/Touchflo wäre super, und wenn auch noch der Panel Manager funktioniert wäre das richtig gut.
Ich suche außerdem nach ner Verbesserung für den Empfang - im Moment bekomm ich nur ein relativ lausiges Signal.
Will irgendwer hier diesem Totalneuling helfen?

Das 6.1-ROM hab ich etwa ein halbes Jahr lang benutzt, da ich kein adäquates deutsches6.5-ROM gefunden habe, welches meinen Ansprüchen genügt. Es gibt deutsche 6.5-ROMs, aber alle haben irgendwelche kleinen Probleme bzw. es werden zu viele Releases in zu kurzer Zeit gemacht, so dass man permanent am flashen ist.

I used the 6.1-ROM for about half a year, since there wasn't a german 6.5-ROM which suited my wishes. There are though a lot of german 6.5-ROMs, but most of the have smaller bugs and/or are released many times in few days, resulting in flashing every third day.

I´m testing, testing and testing. My goal is to achieve a rom, which can be updated with new manila packages etc. without cooking/flashing a new rom e.g you have Manila 2.5 and want to update to Manila 2.5 with landscape support, you don´t have to flash a whole new rom, you just need to install my updated packages, therefore I need to know which packages should be cooked in into the base rom and which packages should be installed via the preset installer.
Welches Build wied denn dein Rom haben ? Ich hab sehr viel Probleme ab 23506. Dieses lief mit deiner V4 am Besten.

the way you made customisation easy with your v4 was great (rom konfigurator, advanced config) , but this sounds even better
würde gut aussehen nur leider startet bei mir der Installer wie beschrieben nicht.
extendir auf speicherkarte angelegt weiteres verzeichniss geht dann mit setups weiter.
rom wird installiert - justierung wird ebenfalls abgefragt nur dann fängt der installer nicht an.
Kann jemand helfen.

die aktuelle EpicRom 8.1.25 hat alle Benachrichtigungen inkl.Sounds und weniger Bugs als die vorherigen NougatRoms, also dürfte die org. Global Dev.Rom auch funktionieren... probier's mal
und nix gg.SuperSU, aber Magisk ist sicher die modernere und elegantere Variante inkl.funktionierendem SafetyNetFix

Currently I am busy on getting my Oreo build to work and I will be on vacation from the middle of next week.

oha i'm surprised :laugh: you are the first person which modded and supersu magisk prefers... the last off.update was 1 year before and the last magiskupdate 2 weeks or so... magisk is more modern and can used with many plugins.
maybe it's better to build a ROM without root so that can every user choose his own root
Removing root is no option for me, since the cpMIUI App won't work without.

Let me explain why I still refuse to switch to Magisk.
I use chainfire's libsuperuser for cpMIUI as well as my other app Root ToolCase.
When executing a list of su commands at once, Magisk was way too slow compared to SuperSU.
It has been getting a lot better though since Magisk 15.

For me, I agree with the person above. Let the user pick their own root like the other MIUI Roms.
I flashed this ROM last night and I got supersu failure.. ROM is working but with tempered state. Now I can't even install root using SuperSu. Magisk on the other hand would not allow root with something that already been tempered with. It is unrooted but cannot be root anymore. Ofc I can go do the hassle to reset everything just to get a simple root, since if I don't, I won't get to use any of this ROM extra features.
How did you implement paid themes? Is it just a matter of changing the themes apk?

Known Issues:
After first boot, system is very laggy for about 2 minutes.
After reboot, system is laggy for about 20-30 seconds but then very smooth
Please don't perform a full wipe!
If you were already logged into you Mi Account, Xiaomi wants to verify your password. For that you need to connect to a WiFi but when asking for the WiFi password, the keyboard won't show.
You can't skip the verification, so you're locked out
If you just flash the ROM and wipe cache + dalvik, everything's fine!
