Does anyone know of a keyboard like the stock froyo keyboard packaged in attn1's liberated 2.2(latest builds). I mainly am just looking for a good keyboard that has the phonepad style keyboard, which also has T9 predicted capabilities while using the phone keypad layout.
Thanks!
Also... I need it to be compatible with Cm6.1. Doesn't matter too much if it is tested on the latest 6.1.1 build.

Smart keyboard pro has it. As well as the modified HTC keyboard somewhere in our forum. I think it says modified by Jonas or other. In the htc ime thread...

I have tried several different modified versions of the HTC keyboard(which is the one that I want), but have not had any luck getting it to work on the Aria running CM6.1. I take that back... i havent tried it recently since 6.1 was released, but im assuming it will still be the same issue(not showing up on the screen, or getting an fc as soon as it does).
Could you please point me in the direction of known working version of the HTC Keyboard if possible?
Thanks a lot
Have you tried this version? h ttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7915283&postcount=2551

Look through the keyboard options, I believe there is a option for a T9 style keyboard, among others.

Are there any 3rd party keyboards that work on liberated froyo. I really liked the droid x one for cm6. Besides swype. I don't like any of the market ones

Have you tried Smart Keyboard? SwiftKey, SlideIt, 8pen, Better Keyboard all suck. Get Smart Keyboard, skin it nice, and it's the best keyboard, imo. They have exact look-a-like Gingerbread skins, iPhone skins, and a few other cool ones.
I am using stock gingerbread keyboard on my Liberated ROM and it's pretty useful. Tried better keyboard, smart keyboard, swype etc.
i always thought the htc keyboard was the best normal keyboard. my favorite not-normal keyboard is swype.
I really like the one that comes on the Galaxy S phones (not Swype, which is ok for just english). I think it was just called Samsung IME, but was really useful as an English keyboard, and switched to Korean super quick.
I guess if you want a good keyboard that does both you have to get one made by Samsung, but that's just for my needs.

Ya should try the gingerbread kb that's on the market. Closest to the sense kb, and maybe better, it's been forever since I had sense installed.

Hey guys, I have the cm7 rc2 rom running on my wifes droid and its great little to no bugs great stuff.
Question... While I like the gingerbread keyboard she does not. Any way I could get a t9 type or phone pad kind of keyboard on it? I've searched the market for one but with no success. I'd Luke to have a stock one of some sort.
Any help is very appreciated.

You need to install a Android keyboard replacement app, just like:
- Smart Keyboard PRO https://market.android.com/details?id=net.cdeguet.smartkeyboardpro&feature=search_result
- Better Keyboard https://market.android.com/details?id=com.betterandroid.betterkeyboard&feature=search_result
Both have an option to change the keyboard layout to T9. Sadly both apps are paid apps. SmartKeyboard has a free trial, but you get time to time a popup.
Does anyone know of a particularly good Gingerbread Keyboard with better dictionaries and symbol-inclusive autocorrect? I used to use one like that a while ago, I believe it was bundled with Doc's and Stefunel's Rom Kitchen, and it worked great on previous ROM's. Now I'm on Serendipity 6.2 and the Gingerbread keyboard kind of sucks, it won't even get simple words with apostrophe's like "I'm". I tried copying the .apk and libraries from one of the old ROM zip's I had using the good keyboard, but it just FC's when I select it.
Would anyone know where I can find a standalone flashable Gingerbread keyboard that's better than the one included in Serendipity?
Well you can use the one off the market. Or search .cause I know there is one posted in themes and apps

there is one in the market that seems a little bigger, also has evo style cursor buttons that you can get to by swiping up on the space bar.
the pay version has themes and can adjust the spacing between keys
the developer is steven lin if you are interested.
Anyone know about getting this ported over with the new GB and 3.0 hybrid ROM's going around?
I can't answer your question but lookout mobile security is a good alternative while we wait

Thanks for the response, but HTC Trace is not a security program. It is the stock keyboard for the HTC Sensation. It is the HTC keyboard but with "swype" capabilties.. Pretty much it is like having swype on the stock HTC kb..
Try Flex T9 (V1.0.0). It has T9, trace, voice-to-text and even handwriting recognition.
Versions above 1.0 haven't worked right for me though.
Yeah using the Flex right now. Works great. Also have several verisons of Swype. I was just curious with the GB and 3.0 hybris going on if somone was able to find the HTC Trace to see if it would work with the TB. Pretty much I am a flash addict with keyboards and ROM's and was curious how HTC Trace matched up to Swype and Flex. Right now Flex is my favorite.

Yeah, it was buggier than the market version as well but that's why it was taken down from the thread that had .apks from the sensation dump.. because it's a paid app
Well if it is Flex then that would explain the similarity in the appearance. Thanks to all of you for the replies. Anyone know if the sensation system dump was out there yet? Sorry at work and didn't have time to search through the forum right now?
EDIT: NVM just saw the last response ..
Hello there,
I was wondering if its possible to get the gingerbread keyboard also on my IS? I have a DHD aswell and I used custom roms on my DHD and on the DHD I also have a different keyboard.. its a black layout keyboard.. does anyone know if it also possible to get that keyboard on my IS?
Thanks in advance!

Oke sorry for posting here.
And thx for the heads up!
You can install it, but unfortunatly the font sizes will be way to large, it's due to HTC increasing the font sizes for sense
