Greetings all,
Camera Failed on my Samsung Galaxy S I9000 16gb.
Where can I find camera firmware to install / reinstall / update my camera?
not sure if this will work but I am willing to try anything at this point.
I have already uninstalled Fring, factory reset. Updated from Eclair to Froyo and still the camera does not work.
The camera worked for only one day.
Feedback much appreciated, thanks...

So a while ago when I had time to be on here 24/7, I came upon a flashable SGS II style camera that worked with 2.3.3.
Problem now is, I can't find it and I hate the stock SGS camera. Can anyone help me find a SGS II camera apk that is flashable in CWM or pushable. My stock camera is force closing on me...
Thanks!
Bump...
First off THANKS!
With that being said i have an att galaxy captivate, i am trying to upgade to the latest firmware. I am currently running 2.2 froyo.
I downloaded kies, kies mini, kies air
I followed all the steps to allow sharing with my windows 7 pc
kies air recognizes my device but does not promt an update.
kies mini seems to only work with a data cable which I do not have... I know.
What am I doing wrong? Or is firmware updating only via usb?
Thanks Again

A lil more help if u please after installing latest gingerbread 2.2.5 i thnk
camera ics is now inverted. any help would be great or recommendation of a better camera app.... Thanks
If you are on gingerbread you should not have ICS camera, You should have gingerbread camera
I should have been more clear. Prior to the firmware update I installed camera ics app from google play. It worked like a charm after update to 2.3.5 I897uckk4 kernel 2.6.35.7 gingerbread.uckk4.
The cam was inverted, i uninstalled and then dl again reinstall and still inverted.
The gingerbread cam is on the device now along with the cam ics app, I kinda like the interface of the ics version
Thanks Eh!
Ok fed ex just brought my Straight talk sim card. phone is operational. changed apn looks good so far
Configured phone to straight talk apn
speed test very poor fastest 1.44 mbps down .026 mbps up
slowest .41 up .09 down
sorry for high-jacking my own thread but are thier any changes I could make to settings to achieve better results.
modems control data speed and voice quality. read about modems in development section (sticky). then start testing... to each their own you will learn.
ics camera *may* not be compatible with gingerbread... try some other camera apps, if it is just that one app contact the developer of that app.... but if he has a thread or website, read any info first so you arent telling him something that he knows or has explained already.

So, your problem is already solved?
Hi!
First of all, sorry if I have some error on my writing, it is not my first language.
In addition, I'm a newbie in this matter, sorry if this is a stupid error/question.
Well, the scenario is as follows:
The device is a Galaxy Note GT-N7000 from Claro (Argentina)
I had the original JB 4.1.2 (Stock - it is the newest version available for this phone/carrier).
I successfully followed all CyanogenMod Installer steps and now I have CM 10.2 on my phone.
The only thing that is not working fine is the main (rear) camera.
Front camera is working, but if I change to rear camera there is no image.
If I try to take a picture with the rear camera the app closes and the following error is showed: "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped.".
I did a factory reset using TWRP and nothing changed.
The front camera works just fine.
The rear camera was working with the stock JB.
I guess (hope) this is a sw issue...
Any idea of what can I try?
Thanks in advance.
I've used cm10.2 and the camera worked (however it was shutting down the device). Maybe try some other app, not the official one.

Hey xda fellas, I'm having Samsung galaxy S I9000 and i got camera problem - "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped" (when i try to use it).
I cleared cache didn't work, I am running CM11 4.4.2 (nightly version), I also updated kernel using this instructions (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2580112).
Nighty version of rom that i use is "cm-11-20140416-NIGHTLY-galaxysmtd.zip".
I don't know if i have technical problems with my camera or i messed up something wrong with rom and kernel. Pls help me to make it work again .
P.S.
Before i installed new rom i had 2.3.6 Gingerbread and it didn't work too.

Most probably a Hardware issue. Best solution, Flash Stock and take it to the nearest Samsung Service Center.
