UPDATE:
so I went through root explorer side by side with my droid and my brothers droid2
in /system/etc/bluetooth/audio.conf there are differences, the bottom lines of the droid are as followed
# Just an example of potential config options for the other interfaces
[A2DP]
SBCSources=1
MPEG12Sources=0
[AVRCP]
InputDeviceName=AVRCP
when I looked at the audio.conf of the droid 2 it had differences here...
# Just an example of potential config options for the other interfaces
[A2DP]
SBCSources=1
MPEG12Sources=1
[AVRCP]
InputDeviceName=AVRCP
MetaDataSupport=1
ControllerSupport=1
also there was a bluetoothDUN.apk file on the droid2 . I saved his audio.conf and the apk and put them on my sdcard, swapped out the audio.conf file and rebooted, connected and paired bluetooth then played music and used superbtmonofroyo with no luck. I went back to my sd card and installed the bluetoothDUN apk and rebooted connected bluetooth again and still was unable to listen to music (actually this time an error popped up saying bluetoothdun not working properly force close, so I uninstalled the btdunl.apk)....are the .conf files connected to permissions somewhere that I am missing ? does anybody know?
orig.
I have a droid1 and Im running Charity Rom before that I just had stock 2.2.1 rooted. both are unable to stream audio through a mono bluetooth , but when I tried using Super BT mono froyo on my brothers droid 2 it works perfect.
when I flashed the charity rom I noticed that I had lost the ability to rotate my google maps in the new 3d view mode with multitouch and there was a simple permissions fix here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=880445
Is it possible the answer to this bluetooth bug might be a permissions or config issue?

I googled this and searched for it on these forums, but nothing turned up. I'm looking to use my phone connected to headphones as a bluetooth headset that I can connect to my laptop and listen to stuff.
Anyone know of a program or can whip out something like this?
anyone know what I'm talking about?
I would like to know about this too
My sound card on my laptop board is out, and shy of buying either a USB headset or a USB soundcard, I have no sound. So if you find anything on this please post. Even if its to connect via ActiveSync or WiFi, either one, just something would be great.
Maybe you upgradet your PC to 4 GB of RAM?
then it is possible that your Mainboard dont support the access to the full 4 GB RAM and just cant access the Memory for the Soundcard. (same happened to me, and i need to look for a BIOS update...)
If this is not true, you can for example Buy a Bluetooth Headset.
Because of my problem with the 4 GB Memory Upgrade i used my bluetooth headset and it worked with sound.
But because i wanted to make my sound loud on loudspeaker i got another crazy idea. (i often have thinks like that)
i enabled the bluetooth of my laptop and used my Laptop as one big external Soundcard.
also tried to use my Touch Pro, but it doesnt support the needed protocol in that direction.
Sound from Touch Pro to Laptop over bluetooth works, but not in the other direction. This would only be possible if we find any other Driver for the Phone.
Another Idea would be to use:
http://www.no23.de/no23web/Live-Audio-broadcasting-webradio-stream-online-radio.aspx?live=1
(didnt found a english webpage)
It is a tool that streams the sound from your PC. (dont know if that works without a soundcard)
you only need a player that plays a stream like that. (VideoLan for example?)
Good luck in your experiments.
If what your talking about is playing sound on your computer from your phone then you need to go into your bluetooth control panel on the PC and go over to the services tab under your devices properties box. Make sure you have the headset protocol checked and a2dp or ad2p whatever it is checked for the stereo. Go into the audio tab of the main window of the Bluetooth control panel and go to the audio tab, click on "Stereo audio player" under your devices section, then click connect. When you start dicking around with your device all sounds should now be played through your computer's speakers and the headset icon should be on the task bar of your phone.

I was just playing around with my laptop last night and was able to do the same thing. My laptop didn't come with bluetooth; however I was able to buy a bluetooth USB dongle at bestbuy for less than 20$. Now I can play music through my laptop speakers from my phone. As far as playing music the other way, with a broken computer sound card... I'm not sure if it will work...
You can By....
1.download and install winamp and nulsoft shoutcast source dsp . www.winamp.com
2.download and install SHOUTcast Distributed
Network Audio Server (DNAS)
3.cofigure acording to your ip adress,port,etc,then configure your router's firewall to allow that port (will play from lan and internet as well).
4. open winamp option>properties>plug-ins>dsp/effect>nullsoft shoutcast source dsp>configure the options like input output....
5.try playing from your windows media player with local adress ,example:- http://192.168.1.112:8080
6.save the play list and copy it to your phone (saves time).
7.on your phone connect wifi , run tcpmp and try playing that playlist .
works on my wing , dash and htc fuze . the audio is delayed by couple of seconds .
Hello,
I've installed Insannely Cool Sense 4 v2.4, updated by Stona, first i want to thank him for his great work, this rom is awesome
Usually, i listen to music with my bluetooth headset, but with this rom i've noticed that the sound is very jerky. The problem appears with all players : I tried with PowerAMP, Noisy, and the stock app with the music fix from Stona.
The problem doesn't appears with a wire headset, only with a bluetooth headset.
I also made a logcat when i'm playing music with my bluetooth headset (see attachement)
I think there is a problem with the bluetooth buffer wich is quickly congested.
I don't know how to solve this. When you have the time, could you please see this Stona ?
And again, thanks for your great work Stona
Finally, i've solve the problem with my bluettooth headset, here's what i did :
First i've updated the rom with v2.4.1c
Then i took some files from Insannely Cool Sense 3.6 related to the bluetooth connection, because when i was on this rom, the bluetooth connection with my headset was more stable :
In system/bin I took : btld and bluetoothhdIn system/lib I took : libbluedroid.so ; libbluetooth.so ; libbluetoothhd.so
I replaced the files and set permissions
Reboot in to recovery
I Cleared Dalvik Cache and fix permissions
Reboot the phone
Finally In parameters i cleared all bluetooth associations and reset them.
It works well . Now i can listen to my music with my bluetooth headset.
I think the btl_av_codec isn't congested anymore with those files :good:

Ok so I've done some searching in both the Sprint and regular HTC one forums and can't seem to find where this is addressed so perhaps no one else is running into it.
Wife's phone (Sprint One, stock ROM, S-off, rooted) automatically starts playing music when it connects to the bluetooth in her 2008 Ford Edge with Sync. I've gone into the sync settings and autostart is disabled so I am thinking there is something in the device that is forcing the music start on bluetooth connect...
Anyone have any ideas on how to disable this?
Thanks,
MG
Check the Ford settings. Also check the player that's playing the music. Usually they have a toggle in their settings.

Same thing happens with my Subaru.

Thanks, in the Sync settings on the radio it is already set to off and the music player doesn't seem to have a toggle unless I am missing it...

Same problem
I've had this same problem as well. It is some interaction between the Sync system (or other bluetooth system) and the Music app. Unfortunately the Android developers have ignored this issue for YEARS as you can find threads going back to at least 2010 on it. A simple config switch to ignore headset starts like many other players have would fix it. In the past Headset Blocker worked to fix it but that app isn't compatible with newer releases. I tried Wizdroid witch worked previously but since the 4.3 upgrade it no longer works either. There are other disabling apps out there but from what I see they all break the bluetooth media function completely. Thankfully I am rooted so I am going to see if I can freeze the default player and install Poweramp or similar to replace it. Hopefully it won't break too much. Does anyone know if that is a bad plan before I do it?
UPDATE: I seem to have found a happy medium. I installed Poweramp and it's settings seem to handle the autostart signal without having to disable the Music app. I set Poweramp to "high priority" then disabled all the resume functions and disabled the lockscreen handler (it required the bluetooth start feature). Now the last few times I have paired nothing has started playing on its own.

What happen to me is when I have stock Music app in the background pause it and when connect to the car kit the music will auto start. My friend said this is normal. Is that happen to you guys as well?
I'm having an issue with my bluetooth audio all of the sudden not working. I've paired to bluetooth devices in my car and Bluetooth headphones and everything was working fine up until this weekend, now I don't get any music audio unless I disable the phone audio in bluetooth settings. I'm running stock Marshmallow and I've went in and disabled permissions for phone and microphone for any app that wouldn't logically need. I booted into Safe Mode and things worked normally but I can't figure out how to isolate a particular app that might be causing it, if that is the problem. I also tried reseting Network Settings in Backup and Restore but that force closes everytime. I Uninstalled all the apps that updated over the weekend thinking an update might have caused it but it's still there. Can't seem to find this particular issue documented anywhere else. Any ideas?
Found the problem!
Sorry to post this before I went through all the steps... Hopefully it can help someone else out at some point...
Since everything worked properly in Safe Mode I figured it was one of the apps installed. I just started clearing out five apps at a time until I found the culprit.
It was Voxer, and it wasn't the app itself with a bug, it was the setting in Preferences to enable Voxer over Bluetooth. With that option on and phone audio enabled in Bluetooth settings, no music would play. Unchecking that setting and turning phone audio back on in bluetooth, I got all of my media audio back over bluetooth.
Pain in the ass but it all works now.
sometimes...
My Xperia XZ1 Compact has a strange problem: Both of my BT devices (Jabra Evolve 65, Denon Envaya Mini) work well with my phone if I answer phone calls. But playing audio files does not work. I tried two audio players (Mort Player and the lineageos music app) and played a MP3 file from Youtube. On another phone both devices play music perfectly. So it is obvious that my devices are not the problem. It is definitively the phone.
In the bluetooth settings of both devices, media is on. I also tried to deactivate phone call in the settings but it did not help.
I tried to change the protocol version to 1.4, I deleted the bluetooth cache and resetted the bluetooth settings.
Please have a look at my Logcat attached. What I basically did while it ran is: Click the volume button, select the bluetooth symbol and changed from one device to the other.
I can't tell you which firmware I have. I did not find any information about it.
It seems like in 18.1 this has been fixed. But is there a quick way fixing the problem without upgrading to 18.1/2.0? Perhaps by changing a few values somewhere?
