Here's a pac-man'esque boot-animation,
I've created a version for HVGA(320X480), QVGA(240X320) and WVGA(480X800) devices.

Links contain the first and second animation-
2.1+ HVGA PAC-DROID-GAME.
2.1+ QVGA PAC-DROID-GAME.
2.1+ WVGA PAC-DROID-GAME.
Links contains the second animation only-
2.1+ HVGA PAC-APPLE.
2.1+ QVGA PAC-APPLE.
2.1+ WVGA PAC-APPLE.
Updated the animations to 24 bit png, resulting in better quality than the original 8 bit.
To use, flash from recovery or unpack to C:\ and push boot-animation via adb with the following command-
adb push C:\bootanimation.zip /system/media/
or
adb push C:\bootanimation.zip system/customize/resource/
NOTE:Flash zips installs to system/media
Hope you like it, let me know what you think.
it looks good can u please make 1 for qvga screen??
I'll try and rustle one up for you when I get a few hours
I like it.. Im using this for sure.
edit.. too bad, I cant use it on my Streak
Added QVGA and WVGA versions to first post.
If people could be so kind to tell me if they work or not as i'm stuck with a HVGA screen.
Thank you.
Lots of downloads but no replies, I take it these work?!

I originally had it chrome but wanted a bit of colour, I think it looks better as a juicy red apple.
I only want the "eat apple" in WVGA (or FWVGA for my X10). How to do? The first pack contains pacman as well, and I can not change the zip to have only the "eat apple". The second pack contains "eat apple" but only in HVGA
Added, second animation only for QVGA and WVGA.
i cant seem to get it to work, cleared everything and flashed in recovery and nothing really like this and have been trying to get it up and running.
have trird flashing from recovery, adb push, astro. anyone know another way not listed. thx
Nice animations.
Can I include PacDroid in UOT kitchen http://circle.glx.nl ?

How to accelerate the second animation WVGA? It's too slow. I wan't it as fast as the HVGA version (15fps). Is it possible? How to do?

can get other ones to load up that i got off of the warm 2.2 update page any way you can take a look and see if there is some difference that will allow me to use this one. thx tried every other way that people have said to use.
I'm guessing its installing to the wrong directory.
These install to system>media
I think evo needs to be customize>resource??
I'll have a look when I get home if you haven't solved it already.

@dased14,

Try this and let me know if works and i'll add to 1st post-

I don't think you can use .gif files
what rom is this intended for?? if it's gif it can only be used in hero roms; eclair doesn't support animated .gifs.
Its not a gif Its just an imagesscrolling behin another image
No problems installing, works great
I'm using WGBuild 9.2
doesnt work with Black Ice for 4.2.8.1
i morph it and restart and it sticks with the blackice boot
so only works with stock cyanogen ?
Simply genius!
OMFG! i went to bed last night at 6am with the thought of someone doing this, Metamorphing this boot screen! IM SO GLAD IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED! dghldhflsdfhsldkrhsalf

HILARIOUS!!!
Installed with MetaMorph
It installed just fine with MetaMorph 1.7, cyanogen 4.2.8.1 (My G1).
This morning, tried to install this on a friend's G1, cyanogen 4.2.4, and the new version of MetaMorph was downloaded, v1.8.1.
During installation getting error "Control file missing or cannot be found"
Anyone know what this is about? We re-downloaded the Metamorphed .zip file, but it's still the same...
Thanks
Bert
I've just updated MetaMorph to version 1.8.1, deleted piss.zip and piss folder from the AndroidThemes directory and applied it again, and everything went ok...
Are you sure Metamorph is correctly installed in your friend's phone?
with cyanogen vers. 4.2.11.1 dont go. i instaled this with metamorph 1.8.1 but if i restart only the cyanogen bootscreen is show...
please let me know with a pm if you had a solution. thanks a lot for your work.

Wooooooow, that bootscreen is awesome. Have you already done the update.zip for 1.7?
Do you know if Feeyo will take it as standard bootscreen for upcoming roms?
Thanks for feedback
Creating update.zip right now. Feeyo has shown great interest when I sent him a pm about it, but he has not said anything about making it standard. But I do hope so.
Custom themes will be made to match boot as soon as official release.
Ofc. it will be the main bootscreen for the next rom
Its an awesome animation! And love that you have put a loading bar init.
Yes I thought that would be a good idea. That makes it so much easier to see if boot fails!
Thanks Feeyo!

I copied your tutorial on cronosforum swiftwork, it worked for me. Haven't tested the signed zip, but in case it doesn't work, they can use your tutorial.
GREAT WORK!
This is the boot animation from the special edition Star Wars R2D2 Droid. Taken from here:
http://www.mydroidworld.com/forums/...r2d2-bootanimation-sounds-pack.html#post31112
THIS IS FOR WVGA DEVICES (IE: N1)... FOR THE HVGA VERSION GO HERE.
The top has been cropped off to keep as much of R2D2 as possible.
The Droid and Star Wars logos have been removed.
This boot animation has 3 parts, and needed to be consolidated into 2 for the HVGA version to work correctly. I don't know if the WVGA version requires it too.
I have no device to test on, if it doesn't work properly, please let me know.

lol. that's ok. We will forgive you just this once.
Got this running on my HD2 android 2.2 Bangsters 1.3a rom. I used ES File Explorer as a free alternative to root explorer.
As others have posted, it is quite slow. I'll be keeping it anyways because it is still way cool.
What determines how well these boot animations run? Does it have to do with the speed of the device or what?
Ok, try one of these. "Signed" is flashable in recovery, the other is install by ADB or terminal only.

I've got no idea to be honest. As far as I can tell the speed seems to be slow right through from start to finish consistently, and choppy. I wouldn't really know what to change.
