Google next time. The NC browser doesn't have support for multi touch. If you want multi touch then try one of the browsers in the market. My suggestion is Dolphin HD.
He states that he already has Dolphin browser.
to clarify i have Dolphin mini running on my nook color. i have also tried xscope and for some strange reason it works. is there an explination?

Did you use Nooter or AutoNooter? The former doesn't enable multitouch by default. You can enable it by following these instructions: http://nookdevs.com/NookColor_Enable_MultiTouch
Dolphin Mini doesn't have multi touch for me either but Dolphin HD does.
Dolphin Mini does have multi touch on my DROID though.
For me, xScope is the browser that has the best pinch to zoom and multi touch.
Either way, Google would've solved it. Dolphin Mini doesn't have support for pinch to zoom. Opera Mini does though if you simply must have something miniature.
Dolphin HD is my favorite thus far.
i used auto nooter and have multi touch when using Dolphin HD or Xscope. i like them but i prefer the simplicity and speed of dolphin mini. and i get multitouch on all of the others i try.
I previously rooted from NC 1.0 with AutoNooter and multitouch in Dolphin HD worked great.
I erased and started over after upgrading NC to 1.0.1. Used the appropriate AutoNooter and now multitouch in Dolphin HD does not work. I checked the android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.xml file and it was correct.
What am I missing. Why is pinch to zoom not working in Dolphin HD?
latest dolphin versions broke multitouch when used on NC.
version 4.2 of dolphin hd multitouch still works

Same thing happened to me. No pinch/zoom in 4.3, but had it in a prior version. Any known reason for this?

I don't suppose there is a way to uninstall the latest and install 4.2?
There's a thread about this:

Just confirming that downloading to Dolphin HD 4.2 using the link above indeed restored pinch-to-zoom. Thanks!
Have the same issue too with pinch to zoom. Just uninstalled Dolphine HD v4.3 and downloaded and installed Dolphine HD v4.2

Download Managers??

I'm just wondering if there are any good download managers for android that support sites like rapidshare and filesonic?
thanks,
GT
Try using either the latest firefox beta or nightly.
I switched to dolphin HD and so far so good, actually it seems 2x better then firefox, tabbed browsing, you can choose download locations and file names ect.
Are there any besides X-wind that support resuming downloads?

Kobo app

I've a Nook Simple Touch rooted using Nook Manager and all google apps working perfectly.
A brief list of apps working perfecly is:
ADW.Launcher
Pearly White TW ADW Theme
Airdroid
APV PDF Viewer
ClockSync
Kindle
Maps
Gmail
Google Reader
Opera Mini
Perfect Viewer
Skype
Twicca
I'd also installed Kobo app and it seems to working perfectly except of downloading books from Kobo store.
Anyone knows what problem should be occurring and a workaorund?
Thank you.

What web browser does everyone use?

I've tried Chrome and Dolphin so far. Chrome is a buggy mess on my HD+. Dolphin was better but it still randomly freezes and crashes. Any suggestions?

I used to like Opera Mobile but I now use Firefox
I used to be able to sync Firefox across MSwin Ubuntu Nook Tablet stock ROM and HD+ CM 10.1.3
which was nice but I stopped updating MSWin version because of removal of Java support
Which browser is the best android browser for flash content?
TIA
Dave

Same, I used to use Chrome on stock Nook ROM but didn't really like it. Nowhere near as good as desktop versions.
Quick question though for anyone using Cyanogenmod etc. Does your browser playback flash content? Before installing Cyanogenmod I backed up the flash apk downloaded from Nook store (think it's called "browser addon"), I then installed it in Cm and can view YouTube videos etc in the stock browser.

Firefox and flash are possible with cm 10.1, 10.2, and 11.
Don't know about chrome or aosp browser nor any other way.
kitkat is not as good for flash as older versions due to changes in the os and current hacks... but it will work.
I don't think I saw anyone else mention it but I really like UC browser HD. Give it a try.

Boat browser for tablets, on unofficial CM11. Can't get it to work with flash now on CM11 though, I use Dolphin for that exclusively.
stock
Using stock browser in CM11. Has run without a problem

I Like google chrome... Seems to work on everything i need it for.
I tried dolphin but was not impressed. It used a lot of battery on my hd for some reason.
Naked Browser, fastest I ever used.
UC is also very good.
Use Firefox to change HTTP head so I could watch some video limited to other foreign country

Chrome is great especially because it can sync your bookmarks to all your devices and even your PC. That's its biggest advantage with quick fixes and security !
My other favorites are
Opera Classic
Dolphin Browser
Opera Browser
The Stock Browser is now Chrome but before it was another one which I never liked! Try Dolphin and Opera Classic and you will surely like them!
I've always deleted/disabled chrome and almost all google bundled bloatware on any phone/tablet in our house. I had a tough time shoehorning stock/aosp browser to replace chrome, till I stumbled onto lightning browser. Fast, lightweight, able to change search engine to DDG, able to change device string to whatever you want (Froyo N1) (just like AOSP), and works as a user app. I prefer downloading from their dedicated thread on XDA, or from the F-Droid store.
Dead Cookies leave no trails...
Thank you all. I have installed stock aosp trough recovery and now its great
Very nice alternative...

Quick and doesn't store personal data. Works well with orbot too.
Xperia Z
I use baidu browser, it works great for me since it has quick launcher floating over the homescreen with website to be customised
