Hey everyone,
I installed one of the other versions of the youtube app/widget to have hd automatically on. I didn't plan ahead and didn't have a backup of the original. Can any one direct me to a copy of the original or upload it for me ?
The reason I'm going back is the loss of the use of the record button on the widget that allowed you to record and directly upload to youtube.

Does anyone know if a wallpaper is available that allows you to apportion areas of the screen to launch an app, ie an office background, touching the clock opens the clock app, the desk opens your office app, etc? I assume it's possible with live wallpapers that interact with touch?

I don't think you can do this with a wallpaper/live wallpaper, but you can do it by using Desktop Visualizer. (In the Market)
Once you've download the app, you can use the DVRSizeConfigTool (in the Market) and the Image-Crop tool to create a cool looking portioned out screen with different widgets. It's kind of hard to explain, but once you watch the video, you'll see what I'm talking about. The process is pretty confusing, but I was able to do it using a tutorial on YouTube. I hope this is what you were thinking of..
Edit: I don't have enough posts to be able to post links, but if you PM me, I will send you the link to the YouTube video tutorial. You can also search "How To Use DVR Image Crop - Desktop VisualizeR" in YouTube and the video is by 'biipub'.
Look at "Launcher Wall" in the market.
I haven't actually used it, but it can launch apps apparently.
Thanks guys, I think either one of these will suit, just gonna have to pick which one....

I tried using the sdk and android vnc and the same thing keeps happening.
If you are wanting to record video of your screen use this app..
ScreenCast

Works great on the Droid 3. I bought the paid version after trying out the free.
I know about the app but I want something I can use on my pc. Like have a live feed on my desktop.

Now I know that I don't own a Kindle Fire HD, but I know someone who does, and I have to do everything techy like add media to it. But there has been a problem. The person doesn't use it because this person has become so accustomed to the iPod Touch and kind of expected the same type of UI on a Kindle Fire HD and they don't know how to navigate it.
Is there any way I can make the Kindle Fire HD feel more at home to this person?
Is there any launchers that could help and the Google Play Store would be a better alternative to that Amazon appstore.

There's a number of things you can do to it. You can root it and install a wealth of different launchers, a hybrid OS (Kinology), 2 beta versions of cm10.1. There are threads available for each of these options.
