I flashed the google apps and for some reason the market did not come up and every time i try to set up google account it force closes??
I'd say wipe and flash again.
nandroid or backup your rom if you need/want stuff on it.
Also make sure you have the most current version. If the one you have includes the new market update in it try to find one that includes the old market instead. I've heard some people have problems with that market version causing problems.

dear developers,
I am eager to try the new 2.2.7 market apps. I tried to upgrade via applanet, but fail to instal, I tried update.zip and after I flashed it, the market apps is not there too. I tried numbers of APK but none were able to be installed!
I've tried uninstalling my market apps and market updater and it still won't install. So now I'm stuck without any market in my phone.
Any help? or a 100% GUIDE to install the new market?
thanks before
I had the same issue. I had even backed up the old market before I removed it but it didn't seem to work. The easiest fix in my opinion is this: Install titanium backup, backup everything you wanna save, wipe, reflash rom, flash gapps with old market, reboot, sign in, open market, accept terms, reboot into recovery, flash gapps with new market, reboot, optionally restore anything you want to restore via titanium backup. I'm not sure what changes in 2.2.7, but 2.2.6 is lovely, I love the new UI. I had force closes if I tried to install that market before installing the old version and rebooting/accepting license terms as I stated above, but this method took care of all the force closes. Also, you might find this interesting if you haven't already seen it yourself. Applanet forums stated that they intend to model applanet after the new market as well.
Also, just as a heads up, you're not likely to get a lot of support here for anything that could potentially be related to applanet because of the nature of the program.
So I have S-OFF'ed and rooted my phone, and used Ti Backup to backup all my apps before wiping and flashing a new ROM (both CM7 and ARHD).
When I go to market, it doesn't show all the apps I used to have downloaded except paid ones. Yes I did sync account data.
Ok... no problem I will restore from Ti. Nope, still doesn't appear on the installed app list in market after doing so.
Hence, my question is, how do I restore this list? Without it, I won't know if my apps have updates, which is important.
This may be an obvious question and I may just be missing something stupidly important, but I wish someone would be kind enough to provide the answer thanks!
Is the new market pushed to our phones automatically? I'm on CM7.1 nightly. Just wondering if I should just install it manually or wait.
Thanks!
Why not install manually in any case?
Look for 3.0.27

Good point, not like it would make a difference. Thanks Jack.
is it still enormous? The last time I tried installing it the thing was 8mb in size...seriously hurt my poor n1's space-free so i uninstalled it.
It has always auto update for me. You can wipe data for market using TB to speed up the process.
If not you can manually install it, make no diffrent how you get it, work the same.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
wiped with TB, rebooted and received the new market
@disgustip8ted If you are rooted and have Titanium Backup installed (you might need the pay version... I can't remember), you can select these updates and merge them back into the ROM to replace the original market. This will clear up all that space.
@baseballfanz My market update worked every time except for this last one. I was at the old one until I decided to wipe and update my gapps to T's latest unofficial gapps file with the #151.
Uninstalled it too. New Market was too slow and clunky for me.
I've seen this in other areas for other phones but mine just started doing this an hour ago. Can get free apps fine just not paid ones.
As a work around, can't you buy them from the Market website and have them pushed to your phone?
haven't tried that
but I will. Just wondering if this is another one of those 'old topics'. The only thing I did was flash the 1.8 ROM and then I put on bigDX.bionic.green and my phone reset. After that was when this started (I didn't know the bionic.green would actually be like a ROM my bad). On the other hand my wifi issue with the market appears to be gone. Wondering if it's happend to anyone on THIS device as it seems all are a bit different
I think it's an issue in the newest Market release. I'll check my versions momentarily.
cool thanks
For the record I did get something from the market online and was able to purchase from there and download to my phone.
Had the same problem
I had the same problem after updating to DroidTh3ory's [R3]Blurr3d 1.8. Here's how I fixed it:
Was poking around in Titanium Backup and saw that the version of Market installed on my phone was 3.2, and my backed up version was 3.15. I deleted the 3.2 version completely through Titanium, then restored the backup and it's worked fine ever since. Make sure you delete the 3.2 version first. I couldn't get the backup restoration to take right until I did.
Hope that Helps!

thanks
will give it a try and update!
Ok I noticed the version on my phone and the one in my Titanium were the same (3.2) so that didn't work. Should I try to get an older version of the market and, if so, where can I find one? thanks
i had already tried that, and it didnt work. Just tried it again and now i can make purchases. I (and google) thank you.
This is the first time its happened to me after installing a new rom, all my old apps that I had ever downloaded began to install on my phone.
I came from miui to Cyanogenmod 7.1, installed the google apps and added my account, and all apps began to download...as ive said this has never happeend to me after going to darkys and from darkys to cyanogen and darkys to miui.
Why did this happen, and how can i stop it from auto installing every app i have downloaded, apart from clicking the cross in the market near the app...is there a way to delete the apps from my market?

Must have happened because you backed up your data on Google servers.. when you install a new rom and sign in to Google account it always asks whether you want to back up your applications and data to Google server.. factory reset your phone and when signing in, don't check that option.. I think that'll solve your problem
did this fix it?
I thought it might have been restoring a titanium backup that caused it.
