Some quick splashes I made, you have to have ENG S-OFF to put it into your phone. Get phone into bootloader fastboot, and run commands: (googlesplash.img has to be in the same folder as fastboot.exe)

Its compatible with any rom as it isn't the bootscreen it is the splash screen.splash screen is the one when u first turn phone on.it vibrates as it shows

sorry guys, no more splash screens. I got my Evo 3D a few weeks ago, and it's an awesome phone. I will miss the HD2 though... Only problem is that it's hardware is getting a bit outdated

It wont work for me, i tried to flash this via CWM but it says "instalaltion aborted" i did rename it as well, any ideas?

I've tried both system/media and data/local rebooted and it doesn't work,i moved the zip from my SD card via root explorer, do i have to extract the zip or leave it as it is (i didn't extract it)
Did you find the rom bootanimation.zip in any of them? Did you rename it to bootanimation.zip?
Do you get a blank screen or the rom boot? If the old, your rom is customized and boot should go in resources it something like that. Hit the rom dev thread, you will find right location there.
If you got a blank screen, you probably didn't rename it or renamed wrong.

yeah when i moved it the bootanimation zip is there alright and i did rename it immediately after downloading it, when i reboot i just get the current boot animation i have on my phone.

So the new moto X can be customized to show a greeting on the boot screen. Now I know its not a big thing but I was curious of that could be implemented on our phones? I am running Carbon Rom currently with Xposed.
Any ideas?

It's a .png just like the logo and padlock so you should be able to modify it as long as the image retains the same size and file name.

It's super easy to do. I just modified the files with Paint. NOw if we could just someone with artistic ability to work on it we could have some cool boot logos.

A bootlogo made by me that not only hides the N/A at boot but also looks nice. See the attached image and judge yourself. You just need to flash the zip file from the GDrive link given below.

I checked and it is centered but doesn't seem to be bcoz of thin strip on right and thick strip on the left.
