[SPLASH] The splash image thread - post your splash!

Some quick splashes I made, you have to have ENG S-OFF to put it into your phone. Get phone into bootloader fastboot, and run commands: (googlesplash.img has to be in the same folder as fastboot.exe)
Code:
fastboot flash splash1 splashname.img
fastboot reboot

I mean it's really fun thing to play this kind of stuff do not misunderstand me. That's my bad English sorry.
I tried but got an error message about writing, what might cause it?

It wont work for me, i tried to flash this via CWM but it says "instalaltion aborted" i did rename it as well, any ideas?

HTC Desire GSM. Please make it work please~

It's not flashable. You need to push it to system/media or data/local.
What rom are you running?

have a HD2,wil try again now and report back.

Check where old boot is, and put it there.

I've tried both system/media and data/local rebooted and it doesn't work,i moved the zip from my SD card via root explorer, do i have to extract the zip or leave it as it is (i didn't extract it)

Did you find the rom bootanimation.zip in any of them? Did you rename it to bootanimation.zip?
Do you get a blank screen or the rom boot? If the old, your rom is customized and boot should go in resources it something like that. Hit the rom dev thread, you will find right location there.
If you got a blank screen, you probably didn't rename it or renamed wrong.

yeah when i moved it the bootanimation zip is there alright and i did rename it immediately after downloading it, when i reboot i just get the current boot animation i have on my phone.
cheers anyway ill check out the rom im using and ask

Yes it can be changed or removed. It is simply a png file on the device. Find it and replace it. Not sure where it was but I removed it on mine.

Boot Greeting

So the new moto X can be customized to show a greeting on the boot screen. Now I know its not a big thing but I was curious of that could be implemented on our phones? I am running Carbon Rom currently with Xposed.
Any ideas?

looks like one could remove the unlocked padlock, and modify the corrupt warning too if one had such an inclination.

well, padlock is the same as the google script, but the corrupt warning i dont know about.

It's a .png just like the logo and padlock so you should be able to modify it as long as the image retains the same size and file name.

It's super easy to do. I just modified the files with Paint. NOw if we could just someone with artistic ability to work on it we could have some cool boot logos.

Cant flash said it only for shamu

The splash screen is made for the N6 or any other Motorola device only. It is made by extracting the logo.bin from the N6 bootloader. You can however use the boot animation.
Op at least understand a little bit about the the stuff you share. If you read @makers_mark Op (the thread you obtained this from) you would then know that the splash screen isn't compatible with other devices outside of Motorola.

While I like the white boot logo, it was too bright for my tastes. So I had to look on the Internet for a plain black and white Google boot logo. The one I found and use doesn't have the unlocked icon.
Should be this one. I don't have a screen shot though. I extracted the logo.bin file and flashed it via fastboot.
