After doing some googling and checking a few youtube videos, I decided to order the Boxwave Capacitive Stylus ( Jet Black ) as I wanted to used various sketch / painting / note taking apps and using my fingers wasn't really practical..
I ordered the stylus through their official site and it was shipped on Nov 30th, its destination being Athens, Greece.
Checking my order status I saw it was saying "estimated delivery date : Dec 10th", so having not received the item by Dec 17th I sent them an e-mail to inquire about it.
I soon got a very polite reply stating that international orders can take up to 4 weeks and that I should contact them again if the stylus wasn't here by Dec 30th.
I thanked them and suggested that they put an extra notice next to the "orders details" page on the site and I was surprised to see that not only they replied quickly, but they were also particularly helpful and assured me that my wish would be forwarded to their web developers.
1-2 days after that though I received my stylus and I'm very happy with it, it feels like a real pen and that rubber tip is doing a great job painting & keeping my Tab's screen safe
My only gripe was that the tip was not as fine as I'd like, however doing a quick check I noticed that all capacitive styli have thicker tips than the usual styli.
Support answered again thanking me for my feedback and informing me that:
"(Due to most capacitive screens being programmed to register input through the touch of a finger, and to register inputs without sufficient surface area contact as noise/interference, the Capacitive Stylus with a point tip is somewhat like the holy grail that companies like us are all seeking for. Our product engineers are working on a solution as we speak.)"
What more can I say? I'm really impressed, they kept thanking me for my e-mails,constantly reminding me that they are there to help me should I require assistance / have any further concerns..and they were very polite, helpful and straight to the point every time I needed them!
Highly Recommended!

I just got a Boxwave stylus pen combo. It works great also. Works great with Phatwares WritePad.

that looks nice, do you just keep it in your pocket?
I have the Boxwave stylus but can't find an app for just inputting hand written notes. There are lot of such apps for the iPad and they work really well with the Boxwave stylus. Any suggestions for a suitable app?
I am also looking for a free writing program simular to onenote from microsofts tablet os program.

I bought writepad (Phatware.com). Out works great. It works as a input keyboard so you can use it when your taking notes our use the built in input devices when that is more efficient. It was $10 well worth it if you take a lot of notes in meetings as I do.

I may have to look at something like this as even on the tab my sausage-like fingers have issues at times.
Nice to see a post about a positive experience with a company for a change! I have dealt with Boxwave in the past for a few of their minisync cables and they've always seemed to be pretty good although I don't recall if I ever had to actually contact them about anything. Their prices tend to be pretty reasonable too.
Hi There, I have ordered items from Boxwave multiple times including the mini-capacitive stylus (I ordered two in different colors) and various sleeves for my Evo. I have been impressed each time with their promptness and level of customer service. The mini-capacitive stylus works great with my Evo, My G-Tab and my Epic. My smart-phone wielding friends and colleagues like them and I referred everyont to Boxwave's website to buy some of their own. With all the competition out there for our hard earned money it's nice to find one company deserving of the accolades.
I saw these but the tip is too big to be precise at all. So I found a stylus by htc that is extremely fine-tipped and accurate. It has this little red dot in the middle of a small plastic magnifying glass. Google "htc red dot stylus" to check it out.

Look on Ebay for "Dagi" or go to Dagi`s web site (they make them for HTC) , they are a lot cheaper and exactly the same, also available in different sizes and colours.
Ordered mine direct and took 7 days to arrive, paid an extra 2hk dollars and had my name engraved on it.
( I have one for sale on Ebay £7 inc p&p to UK)

No they aren't. Various websites have used photos of the Dagi stylus when talking about the HTC one, but always with the magic words "for display purposes only" - in other words, it's not actually a picture of the HTC product, just a place-holder.

Roumor has it that the official HTC stylus is indeed a re-branded DAGi stylus.
I guess we'll have to waid for the actual photo on some retailer (let's say clove) to see - but - mentioning "clove" - for a long long time, thay had a place holder picture without any picture, and a few days ago, thay too, put up a DAGi-like stylus image, which makes me go towards the conclusion that the patented htc tip-point stylus is not going to show up any time soon.

If you look at htcaccessorystore.com they show a Dagi branded as HTC
http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=193951
But isnt the HTC stylus with a curved tip and the Dagi stylus with a flat oval tip
The HTc branded one looks like it has a slightly smaller head than the Dagi one, or maybe the barrel is a bit bigger..
so did anyone get the official HTC stylus yet? and can anyone confirm if it's just the dagi rebadged stylus?
I have grown used to not having a stylus... so I dont think I'll need one..

Stylus Tip looks like a hook.
Does this hook onto the device somwhere.
More importantly is Handwriting Recognition possible with this.
How do you enable Transcriber in the Software !

How accurate will it be with the stylus? Good enough for drawing or handwriting?
Anyone tried the stylus? Does it work?
I guess there are no reviews as nobody currently has it.

was surfing taobao for a deal on the dagi's...
one buyer said that usage is not as swift as the demo video... perhaps there's a learning curve to place the tip.
I also realised that the screen will only respond to a minimal surface area of nearly 1 cm across.
I've tried desserts spoons which touch very well (played a game of freecell with it) but of course obscure the view
I have just received the official “HTC Capacitive Stylus STC400”…
I tested with my touch HD2 but its NOT working at all!
I suggest: don’t buy this thing… it’s a waist of money!!!
I send it back to HTC!....
That does not sound promising. I was really hoping that this would let me scribble notes.

What do you mean, they've sent you a defective one?
Can the HTC stylus only be purchased in the UK?
Can the failure of the htc stylus be demoed?
If you've browsed other sections of the XDA forums, then you may be familiar with the carbon fiber skins that people have applied to their devices. In specific, when I was browsing the ViewSonic G-Tablet section of the forums, I saw that one person was manufacturing computer cut vinyl skins. These skins are made out of a material that has a visible texture that shows in various lighting conditions and are not simply printed patterns.
I emailed the guy who makes the G-tablet skins and asked if he had plans to make a skin for the NotionInk Adam or if he would be willing to custom make one and he said yes. While he did say he could probably make one using detailed measurements and some really good photos, it would be much easier if someone could drop by his facility so he could create a template directly on the Adam.
If anyone lives in the Delaware area, please get in contact with the guys at GotShadeOnline. If someone can stop by their shop, they will take the measurements on your device so they can get an accurate template created and in return they will provide the skin free of charge. This would be a big help for other NotionInk Adam owners as the skin is nice quality and would make for a good accessory. I'm personally interested in one as I'd like to cover up the ugly markings on the back of the device and add some further protection from scratches / etc.

Hey, that skin looks familiar !
I sent off an email to Notion to see if they could email me measurements as well as a picture of the back of the Adam. I also asked if they had any "dummy" units available for shipping. I'll let you know as soon as i hear something back from them !

Anyone ever get in and let them measure. I would love to get one of these

Hi,
I went to DE with my Adam and they now have the skins available.
hmm looks familar, and i like it!!!
Hello neighbor, I am just visiting from across the way at the Viewsonic Gtab section. I just ordered a Skinomi wood skin set (with screen protector) for my Gtab. I was sent one for the Adam my mistake. Now, mine is of the wood variety rather than the lovely carbon fiber. But at least I thought I would let anyone interested in skins now that Skinomi make them, and they look fairly sharp.
Just my $0.02

Haha yeah, I totally agree. I have been eyeballing your thread on the custom skin for the Gtab since I got my woot deal. I have been tempted to order, but I just couldn't bring myself to get the carbon fiber skin when everyone else is soon to have one. The best part of a tablet is it's uniqueness. But make a wood skin, and who knows!
On a side note, Skinomi contacted me right away after my formal complaint landed in their inbox. I was surprised how helpful they were. They are sending me the new one as we speak and they don't want the old one back.
Now to see if anyone locally owns an Adam, or if I will be skinning my phone with wood!
Well i'm glad they have good customer service. I totally understand what you're saying about being unique.. It wouldn't be hard for us to cut wood grain either, as a matter of fact we're doing a hospital nurses station cabinets with it. I've been toying with the idea of designing some printed skins, just haven't had a chance to sit down and do it.
The skin they use is the same 3M Di-Noc they use for their carbon fiber. It has a nice texture. If your shop can get its hands on some of the other styles of Ni-Doc, I am sure the community would be willing to buy enough to make it worth it. I know 3M has about 30 different wood grains to choose from, and something like 600 variations!
I bought a mini stylus from dealextreme its a nice one with a plastic small tip.. To my surprise it doesn't work.. Kind of sucks as it was advertise for iphones/cellphones I tried it on my brothers iphone n it still doesn't work. My GF suggests I change the sensitivity to my touch screen.. Only thing I know remotely close to that is the screen calibration which to my knowledge doesn't really change squat..

You need a stylus specifically designed for capacitive touchscreens. They usually have the fat rubber tip. Look for ones that say the work with the iPhone and iPad. They will work on our Streak too.
I placed another order for a different stylus.
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/stainl...-pen-w-anti-dust-plug-for-iphone-silver-93604
Hopefully this one will work. The one I had purchased has a customer review n a vid of the person using it on an android device looks like a galaxy not sure why its not working on my streak my only theory is that the pointer size is too small for the capacitive streak screen to recognize

There are some android devices out there with resistive touch screens. It may have been a vid with someone using one of those.

take a look at this customers video hes using the stylus on an android device.. N the title DX says for resistive touch screen.. So the streak isn't resistive?

Hmm so guess I just lost $2 n 3 weeks of waiting for something useless to me now =(
Gonna write a complaint to DX telling them to better clearify their ads.. But in the end I guess I'm at fault for not reading carefully. I saw the vid and thought if it worked on another droid device it was bound to work for the streak...did I ever think wrong...
Sent from my Dell Streak using Tapatalk
The streak's a capacitive touchscreen like all modern touchscreens.
There might be a resistive screen here and there, but it shouldnt be in all the the lowest end/older/special purpose devices, basically you'd know it was resistive if it was the case.
Resistive ones are just inert rods as resistive screens only require pressure from any correctly shaped object to work.
How old was the device in his vid thing? Android 1.0-2.1 era devices were available as resistive panels but it's pretty rare to find anything recent that's still resistive (unless it's a special purpose device like mentioned earlier)
The smallest capacitive compatable pen requires a head that's at least the size of an eraser, screens in general arnt really ment to be sensitive enough to support anything smaller.
Yeah thanks prior to this forum even prior to owning a streak I was dumbfounded on how much advanced android devices are. Coming from a blackberry this device opened up new doors for me. Anyways I emailed DX customer support n complained it wasn't working so now apparently they mistook it for me wanting a replacement n now I'm about to get another resistive stylus for free... If anyone wants one and is in Toronto pm me. Works great with any DS

I have a really nice little stylus ( not as nice as the SS one shown) from Boxwave & I attached a small extendable key/card holde to it and just have to attache the clip (of bothe pen & holder) to my pocket, and not have to take up the headset plug's space. I can still use the stylus & listen to my tunes @ same time.
Anyone have this case?

I'm mostly concerned about the speaker hole. it seems to cover half of the speaker. I'm worried that it'll muffle the sound coming from it. The speaker is not stellar to begin with, so adding anything on its way worries me. Can anyone that owns the case share their experience with this issue.
Thanks in advance...

Also I can't try it because I don't have my Nexus 7 right now. I had to exchage it because it came with a scratch on the screen and JR.com put be at the back of the waiting list again for the exchange. I feel that is a poor business practice, and feel that if you get a defective product you should go back to the top of the list for the exchange before you send out new orders, but this is just me venting.

Well I don't think my time span would be relevant to you, I ordered it on the July 19th and just got it today earlier today, but thats because they had Quality control issues and stuff. Which I respect them for actually delaying it for. It shipped on the 6th and I got it on the 8th but it was USPS and I live only one state away from where it shipped from.
As for Build quality, Its said in the description it was faux leather and i'm not sure it is. It feels like a high quality soft leather, it doesn't feel like what I would expect form a orange leathery vinyl. The stitching is nice, Its actually stitched on both sides. The case is stiff and has a bit of flex to it and the inside of the case that covers the screen is padded as well. Overall I quite happy with it. Except the i-Blason Stamp on the front I feel it just cheapens the whole look of it.
its faux leather. just got the blue one in today. its not bad though. I havent tried it extensively though cause I just put my xtremeguardz screen protector on my nexus so i have to wait for that to dry out

I discovered the NXE ActiveRIDE Bike Mount at a local Sports Authority for $30. Note 2 fits perfectly in it and there's plenty of room for wallet, keys, and other miscellany. Seems really well constructed, but I haven't put it through its paces yet.
I can't post a link since this my maiden post. :\
Wanted to rejuvenate this thread and see if anyone has found an acceptable bike mount for the Note 2.
I'm looking for something that ideally secures to the handle bar in either vertical or horizontal layout and, more importantly, keeps the phone enclosed while keeping screen access. If the phone isn't enclosed, it's just a matter of time before it flies out of it's carrier.
Below are two cases I've come across that meet what I'm looking for. Anyone have any experience with these or find another solution?

Arkon is releasing a new bike mount, secure and quick changeable. Also heavy duty aluminum mount. I had a chance to see in person the other day and I'll have a review in a bit. Trust me, once you see them, this will be your perfect solution for, I'm enjoying them already.

Anyone find a good solution?
this is my solution
http://dx.com/p/bike-protective-wat...-samsung-galaxy-note-i9220-n7100-black-175949
same as posted above different source. hopefully its big enough for me to leave my Note II in its case. it should be since it claims to hold a note i as well which is wider.
will report back with pics and review once I get it.
mopar. you got bigger balls than I do man. I would not risk my phone like that though it sure looks pretty
for my S2 and or S3 I use my modified arkon mount. VERY expensive but nice
http://www.arkon.com/accessories/smart-phone-tripod-camera-stand.html
I REMOVED the spring in the back and add an elastic band around the two halves.
this allows it to open "wider" than normal so it holds my S2 or S3 IN their hybrid multipart (heavy duty thick cases) cases without any trouble and EXTREMELY securely. the phone "can not" fall out.
I got a 1/4 threaded bike mount tripod adapter and attached the mount.
I have not tried but I do not think it opens wide enough for the Note II - at least not inside a case and i won't have it any other way.
Here is some pics of the modded arkon mount
Boom:

How does it fit and work now that its springish, have you tested it out on a ride yet? Does it have sufficient space for a headphone jack to plug in and also how is the manuevering with that plastic screen in front.
