Look on Ebay for "Dagi" or go to Dagi`s web site (they make them for HTC) , they are a lot cheaper and exactly the same, also available in different sizes and colours.
Ordered mine direct and took 7 days to arrive, paid an extra 2hk dollars and had my name engraved on it.
( I have one for sale on Ebay £7 inc p&p to UK)

No they aren't. Various websites have used photos of the Dagi stylus when talking about the HTC one, but always with the magic words "for display purposes only" - in other words, it's not actually a picture of the HTC product, just a place-holder.

Roumor has it that the official HTC stylus is indeed a re-branded DAGi stylus.
I guess we'll have to waid for the actual photo on some retailer (let's say clove) to see - but - mentioning "clove" - for a long long time, thay had a place holder picture without any picture, and a few days ago, thay too, put up a DAGi-like stylus image, which makes me go towards the conclusion that the patented htc tip-point stylus is not going to show up any time soon.

If you look at htcaccessorystore.com they show a Dagi branded as HTC
http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=193951
But isnt the HTC stylus with a curved tip and the Dagi stylus with a flat oval tip
The HTc branded one looks like it has a slightly smaller head than the Dagi one, or maybe the barrel is a bit bigger..
so did anyone get the official HTC stylus yet? and can anyone confirm if it's just the dagi rebadged stylus?
I have grown used to not having a stylus... so I dont think I'll need one..

Stylus Tip looks like a hook.
Does this hook onto the device somwhere.
More importantly is Handwriting Recognition possible with this.
How do you enable Transcriber in the Software !
Thanks in advance

How accurate will it be with the stylus? Good enough for drawing or handwriting?
Anyone tried the stylus? Does it work?
I guess there are no reviews as nobody currently has it.
We like to keep our customers updated and we just wanted to let you know that HTC has now delayed release of the new HD2 Stylus until February - no precise date has yet been confirmed.

was surfing taobao for a deal on the dagi's...
one buyer said that usage is not as swift as the demo video... perhaps there's a learning curve to place the tip.
I also realised that the screen will only respond to a minimal surface area of nearly 1 cm across.
I've tried desserts spoons which touch very well (played a game of freecell with it) but of course obscure the view
I have just received the official “HTC Capacitive Stylus STC400”…
I tested with my touch HD2 but its NOT working at all!
I suggest: don’t buy this thing… it’s a waist of money!!!
I send it back to HTC!....
That does not sound promising. I was really hoping that this would let me scribble notes.

What do you mean, they've sent you a defective one?
Can the HTC stylus only be purchased in the UK?
Can the failure of the htc stylus be demoed?

HTC’s HD2 car kit has just become a lot less cool. Devicewire has given tracyandmatt.co.uk notice that the cradle will no longer have the old design that used a custom backplate, but a new but simpler design that attaches to the bottom microUSB port.
While the new design is now much less sexy, it is much more practical than the earlier version, as the backplate was quite thick. The price is still a high £61 however, which is no longer justified by the innovation and design in the old version, so I suspect this will no longer be a big seller.
The cradle is available for pre-order at DeviceWire here.

What a shame it turned from sexy to ugly! And still the same price.. pretty interesting
I m no longer interested in buying it ... I liked old one better... now i m going to use my old car kit i bought for tytn2... since there is nothing special this one ...
Seriously? What the F? I was planning to buy this expensive car holder with changeable back cover, and now they change it to cheap plastic version and still charging same amount of money as for good designed and innovated one? Get lost...
I'll probably write an email to HTC asking where can I get the old design one, because some units were sent to couple of people for testing and you can find photos of them on the internet
thats simply BOLLOCKS !
Me too. No longer interested in buying that but what should i do with my pre oder by amazon.de :-(

I might buy it... IF they drop the price now massively... I like how it's adjustable so you can angle it any way you want... is there any universal car holder out there that can be adjusted like that?
I got an Universal car holder for my HD2 yesterday. It's only 8.5 USD.
It can rotate 360 degrees, rotate in any angles you want. It's strong enough to hold the HD2. I will post some pics later

I guess the "old" nice looking design (really loved that one) was not stable enough. The device would've been held only by the battery cover. Imagine driving over a bump...no guarantee that your lovely HD2 flies around in your car :/

Now THAT is a bit a a design boo-boo! While I can cope with the somewhat fugly design for the sake of stability, in inability to run a 3.5mm aux lead to my stereo is a real pain in the nipsy. I do wish HTC had sorted out the official accessories to coincide with people actually having the product.

Spoke to someone at HTC - the main reason for the change is that this product will no longer specifically be for the HD2 - but more universal.

So, Samsung has not made this accessory official, but it's been available for pre-order in the UK and Europe since the end of September. I believe the third-party webstores may have begun shipping this item at this point. Is there any word of availability in the US? Do any XDA members own this accessory?

Nice but pricey.

I'm so amused of thought about talking to a pen, that this will be a must. Yes, I must have it.
Maybe they finally give me a mental disorder classification and a pension...
Has anybody bought it? I'm interested in buying it as I really need a stylus and a bluetooth receiver, so this is 2 in 1
Still wondering if this accessory has even launched...
I haven't seen it anywhere. I sent an e-mail to www.play.com 2 days ago ( it's listed on their site, but they have no stock ), but they haven't replied yet.
So, yeah, I agree it hasn't launched yet. It's annoying though if you take into account Samsung's statement that they had already sold like 600,000 tabs 2 weeks ago (!) How can your product sell so well and you can hardly find any accessories for it? I had a hard time finding a basic accessory ( case ), let alone finding such an "elite" accessory

I got a buck says they were holding off manufacturing a lot of accessories until they saw what the sell-through rate on the Tab itself was. Now that they're moving pretty well, they'll start cranking more of this stuff out to match the market need.
Yeah, it makes sense since the TAB is an expensive device, but Samsung's commercial did the trick; it's amazing how many people who have no idea about mobile phones / tablets told me how much they liked that device after seeing the commercial ^^

that stylus seems to be around 15$
and letsbuy is the official web store for samsung tab
I got an e-mail from Mobilefun.co.uk today saying that the BLUETOOTH CAPACITIVE STYLUS IS DISCONTINUED.
...........
That's really disappointing, but not all that surprising either. Samsung can't expect to sell that many of them when they've gutted the phone function in half of the world.

It may not be half the world, but it is when you're talking about high end electronics. Many products like the Tab sell half their units in the US.

How is this relevant to the HD2?
Behold!
amazing! very very nice
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET very retro ma man cool
Cool
this has got to be one of the most innovative accessories ever =) i have to ask: where can i get one? again, well done mate!
cheers
This one must be the one and only accessory we would need for our HD2. We should name it "How to turn your HD2 into HD7".
amazing :-D can you send me one?
found some in ebay, did a search and they're around 20 or so bucks from the uk or hong kong =)
a little curious though. the iphone's back surface is more "glossy" which imo works well with the plunger. given that the hd2's back is not the same, wonder if this will affect the plunger clinging on the surface...
I wonder what I will tell security or customs at the airport when they find this?
That's probably one of the longest crap for someone to sit through and thought that a plunger is the perfect novelty idea for a phone's kickstand
Very creative
OMG, this is iGreat!!!!
You can find it on Amazon for $6-7 a pop. It's sold by Perpetual Kid. It was originally designed for the iPhone but I bit the bullet and bought it to use for the HD2 and it works perfectly.
£4.99 incl P&P form Amazon UK, just ordered one thanks
That looks great!
How long does it stand?
Because I read on Amazon.co.uk the following review:
"But I haven't been able to make this thing work for periods longer than 5 minutes. Might be because I'm using it on an iPhone 4? Slightly disappointing and not that cheap. "
Does it fall off after 5 minutes? Or does it work for hours?
shouldnt it be white?
finally got one, found it being sold in a apple store quite near (5 bucks).
the good news: it does work on the hd2 despite my previous concern on the back surface not being as glossy as that of an iphone's
the bad news: if you were to stick the plunger towards the middle, expect it to pop out in like 5 or less minutes. must be the weight that's pulling down given the "angle". thus, i wouldn't recommend plugging it to give a 30' view. i plugged it towards the side giving it a 10'-15' view and it stayed on for like 2 hours (i think).

Thanks for the update Robson!
That makes things clear for me; I don't buy it. It's to dangerous if it falls down when I put it in a train or something. I don't want to take the risk. And I also don't want to make a profession of applying a iPlunger It should just work 100%, easy.
Sad to hear because it looked like a cool thing to buy for my HD2.

Great innovation which very cost effective..!!!
After doing some googling and checking a few youtube videos, I decided to order the Boxwave Capacitive Stylus ( Jet Black ) as I wanted to used various sketch / painting / note taking apps and using my fingers wasn't really practical..
I ordered the stylus through their official site and it was shipped on Nov 30th, its destination being Athens, Greece.
Checking my order status I saw it was saying "estimated delivery date : Dec 10th", so having not received the item by Dec 17th I sent them an e-mail to inquire about it.
I soon got a very polite reply stating that international orders can take up to 4 weeks and that I should contact them again if the stylus wasn't here by Dec 30th.
I thanked them and suggested that they put an extra notice next to the "orders details" page on the site and I was surprised to see that not only they replied quickly, but they were also particularly helpful and assured me that my wish would be forwarded to their web developers.
1-2 days after that though I received my stylus and I'm very happy with it, it feels like a real pen and that rubber tip is doing a great job painting & keeping my Tab's screen safe
My only gripe was that the tip was not as fine as I'd like, however doing a quick check I noticed that all capacitive styli have thicker tips than the usual styli.
Support answered again thanking me for my feedback and informing me that:
"(Due to most capacitive screens being programmed to register input through the touch of a finger, and to register inputs without sufficient surface area contact as noise/interference, the Capacitive Stylus with a point tip is somewhat like the holy grail that companies like us are all seeking for. Our product engineers are working on a solution as we speak.)"
What more can I say? I'm really impressed, they kept thanking me for my e-mails,constantly reminding me that they are there to help me should I require assistance / have any further concerns..and they were very polite, helpful and straight to the point every time I needed them!
Highly Recommended!

I just got a Boxwave stylus pen combo. It works great also. Works great with Phatwares WritePad.

that looks nice, do you just keep it in your pocket?
I have the Boxwave stylus but can't find an app for just inputting hand written notes. There are lot of such apps for the iPad and they work really well with the Boxwave stylus. Any suggestions for a suitable app?
I am also looking for a free writing program simular to onenote from microsofts tablet os program.

I bought writepad (Phatware.com). Out works great. It works as a input keyboard so you can use it when your taking notes our use the built in input devices when that is more efficient. It was $10 well worth it if you take a lot of notes in meetings as I do.

I may have to look at something like this as even on the tab my sausage-like fingers have issues at times.
Nice to see a post about a positive experience with a company for a change! I have dealt with Boxwave in the past for a few of their minisync cables and they've always seemed to be pretty good although I don't recall if I ever had to actually contact them about anything. Their prices tend to be pretty reasonable too.
Hi There, I have ordered items from Boxwave multiple times including the mini-capacitive stylus (I ordered two in different colors) and various sleeves for my Evo. I have been impressed each time with their promptness and level of customer service. The mini-capacitive stylus works great with my Evo, My G-Tab and my Epic. My smart-phone wielding friends and colleagues like them and I referred everyont to Boxwave's website to buy some of their own. With all the competition out there for our hard earned money it's nice to find one company deserving of the accolades.
I saw these but the tip is too big to be precise at all. So I found a stylus by htc that is extremely fine-tipped and accurate. It has this little red dot in the middle of a small plastic magnifying glass. Google "htc red dot stylus" to check it out.

Man alive, I've been looking high and dry for this. No idea why it's not for sale yet in the States. Been wanting this case as much as the Note8 itself.
Ditto. I've had this for my last 2 Sammys (Note7, S8) and will buy this the second it is available. Great case and the keyboard is nice to use on the train.
You can get this right now for $70 on ebay (there's exactly 1 listing of it), but it's a korean model with dual kr/en labeling on the keys.
I wonder if this would "clip on" to other 3rd party cases (i.e. UAG, Spigen, etc..
That is very cool. I've never been good at typing on virtual keyboards. This would be great to have.

I ordered and asked them about Korean. They sent a picture and yes it does have English/Korean. I'd rather not have the English shrunk to accommodate the Korean which is useless for me however it seems to me that it's not coming out here in the USA. I wasn't following the s8 when it came out, was the keyboard case released with it amongst its accessories or did it come later?
Is the keyboard cover heavy? And will it scratch the bottom of the phone a lot?
Looks interesting. Was a huge fan of the hardware keyboard on the HP Pre3.
About this Note 8 keyboard, does it work well if you have put on a tempered glass screen protector?
Also, are you forced to use the case that comes with it, or can you use it with third-party cases of similar thickness?

I just got it and they keys feel great. It will only work with the case it comes with. It won't scratch the screen and probably will work with screen protector. One flaw with Korean is the period is a dollar sign so you have to press and hold for a second and the it's a period. It's not backlit they should at least made it glow in the dark. I'll probably memorize it soon enough. Size wise it is a little smaller then the on screen smallest size Samsung keyboard. Buttons have real nice click and feel. No cursor arrows.
I figured out how to fix the period issue. So working perfect. Definitely could use backlight but hopefully soon will learn to type without looking.
