I suppose that as none of the roms based on the official leak do not have the JIT recompiler enabled even the official one does not.If so its just sad what HTC is doin with us customers.Froyo without JIT is hardly a step up from Eclair and its just sad that HTC has been teasing us with Froyo for soooo long nd given us this???
What do u guys think??
as far as i know, it's not enabled by default in official wildfire froyo..
correct me if im wrong..
How can I activate it?
thx!

But why not?
Its not dependent on the hardware, is it?

Use a custom ROM that says it has JIT enabled!

Can you post a link to where you found this port? Also a link to the kernel your using. Thanks.
im using djdroids froyo desire rom ported to the nexus shipping rom, still trying to figure out everything kernel and radio wise.
The new HTC gratia has exactly the same specs as HTC legend.
its preloaded with the new HTC sense and froyo 2.2!
any one knows whether we can port that rom over to legend so we can finally have our 2.2?
ya pretty same.............

No question in dev section. Should be moved to general. Mod, we need you in action. Btw porting even with the same hardware is not as straight forward as you think.
I was just about to try and do this on my legend... but can't find a dump ;\

Here's it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=817895
Edit: Tried dsixda's kitchen, boots fine on the Legend but the WIFI and SDIO drivers needs work
I also managed to create a bootable ROM with the xda kitchen and using the porting tools. Running really fast for Sense ROM. WiFi not working and SD card cannot be mounted. Getting the same performance as CM nighlies according to Linpack and Quadrant.
Ok here it goes... Does FM radio works? Now shoot me
so getting progress.....

They are using a Broadcom chipset, if I'm not mistaken.
That one is incompatible to the TI radio used in the Legend.

Yes my ROM is booting fine with CM kernel. The major problem is that the SD card cannot be mounted. WiFi and FM radio are not so important at this point I think. I assume you're more experienced in cooking ROMs and could advise on this.
Cheers.
check this out..........

Anyone achieved any progress on this? Maybe the more experienced developers could provide some hints
Once SD Card and Wifi is working, I'll do a full root on my Legend for this. I never use the FM Radio so that doesn't bother me
Would be great to see this rom with a lot more languages.. Or to be able to implement them from the 2.1 roms..

Hmm.... Did you not understand no?
Simple answer is if you would have searched it would have led you to your answers. The custom roms are about as close as you will get to Gingerbread. From the looks of things the captivate will not get gingerbread other then in ported or custom roms.

Hi my friend dont want to change eclair and he wants CRT animation is this possible
If yes just tell me what files are and i will make update.zip
thanks
Nah it's impossible. AFAIK, the code is hidden deep within the GingerBread system files. Your friend must either install FroyoBread or a GingerBread ROM.

Is there going to be Sense 5.0 Rom for HTC incredible s? Could it be ported?

Not to sound rude but to open a new thread in the development section to ask such a question is just not right. Please post such questions in the general section.
We do not have that many devs working on incredible s as it is a relatively old device. If someone manges to develop an ion kernel and port sense 5 you will see it in the dev section.
Quite fortunate to get a few working jellybean aosp ROMs and quite a few sense 4.1 ROMs for a device that has no more support from htc so enjoy those and be happy.
@ moderator can this thread please be closed or moved to the general section?

-_- what do u mean kernel...... The kernel is still a jellybean kernel, just modified to be compatible with Sense. Although I dont know how to do it, Im sure it might be possible for someone like Szeszo to develop such a kernel. The only problem is that it requires a ton of work and I dont think Szeszo has that much time..... Not to mention resizing of the actual ROM.....

its got something to do with a thing called ION within the kernel.
apparently our phone doesnt have it by default.
it was mentioned somewhere in cyanvivo thread i believe.

Yes it was and Im well aware of that. Our phone doesnt natively support Ion and as a result you have to change some camera libs, i think they were, and maybe a few other things here and there. But it is possible and the proof to that is the fact that we have Jellybean ROMs for our device.
