Any luck with Wiimote Controller for rooted Nook Colors? Clicking 'yes' at the dialog box asking to enable WiiControllerIME in Language & keyboard settings just boots me out to the homescreen. A bluetooth controller would be great for playing the emulators.

There's some speculation that bluetooth can eventually be enabled, but it isn't yet.
I hope a way can be found to activate the BT function, but I wouldn't bet on it.

So can you hook up the Wiimote/classic wii controller to the gTab and use it on the emulators? I love the games but I think a controller would help alot!
I'm not sure of the current emulators support Bluetooth connectivity. Its also interesting to mention that there are USB SNES and NES controller's being sold online and at urban outfitters. I wonder if the tablet would be able to detect those.
You can use a Wii Mote with the Classic Controller Attachment.
If you don't like the idea of tethering to the Wii Mote, I've used the following with Success on my EVO 4g (haven't tested on GTablet yet, but should work fine):
http://us.codejunkies.com/Products/Wii-Wireless-Retro-Controller__EF000622.aspx
Tested wiimote works find with free app from market... just search for it
do you need tools to use the wiimote? Is there any lag
Works Solidly, No lag. Setup is very straightforward, set the Key mappings in each of the Emulators, as well as enable 'Use Input Method' under Other settings, enjoy
Has anyone gotten the touch profiles to work with the Xoom? I can connect my sixaxis controller just fine, but touch profiles don't seem to work at all. I have created a profile, selected the profile, and set sixaxis controller as input device. I've tried it in games and touch test, but nothing at all. Any ideas?
Oh, and I've tried in both ICS and Honeycomb ROM's.
same here also on a motorola device ... mine is the motorola triumph ... i tried maping the keys through input mapping ... i succeeded until i got to the analog sticks ...everything else works ... reload, shoot, aim, switch weapons etc ... any idea on wut we should do ??
Same problem here. I can play with games that have key mapping, like Shadowgun. But not games that require touch mapping like backstab, mc3, ect.
.................bump?
Was'nt this a problem of a pervious version?
Since last update touch-profiles are working fine on my Xoom 3G (MZ601).
wut version r you using ??
Since yesterday I'm using version 0.4.0 (newest version from market) - and all seems fine... only function I miss is to emulate the g-sensor (and disable the real g-sensor) to get it working with NFS Hot Pursuit...
Can someone tell me how to get the buttons to work oxΔ#, start ,select. I can move but can't use the buttons
sixaxis help
This thread --> Sixaxis controller is here! <-- was started by the author of the Sixaxis app. He's really helpful and responded to me fairly quickly on here. I'm sure you could email for assistance also.
Also, where in Shadowgun is the gamepad support? It must be blatantly obvious because I can find it anywhere within the game.
I had this problem too when i went to ICS, but after updating from the market everything is fine

Thanks, I looked at this thread but could't tell if this was an app or the xoom could support the controller natively. Thanks
Just asking if there were a way we could use the keyboard as a gamepad similar to the xperia play's one? It could be great tu be able to use the keyboard to play games, and very much more user-friendly.
Thanks
Well in most emulators on the market, you can map the keys to controller buttons. I use Gameboy A.D. from the market and it's great with the D3 keyboard.

Sixaxis controller from market and a ps3 controller ftw.
Yeah, but for other games (native games for android) that's not possible. I don't have a PS3, i'm playing on a XBOX 360.

This is not what you are looking for, but this is great for emulators and such. http://www.game-gripper.com/category_s/49.htm

With native games I just use sixaxis in "touch" mode and setup the profile to match the button overlay in the game. The controllers keypresses emulate touch events so it works 100% with anything that allows touchscreen or key(hardware button) input. You can have the controller emulate a touchscreen, keyboard and/or mouse so... a 20$ ps3 controller(any pawn shop has them used etc, just make sure it's bluetooth and not the 2.4ghz with a dongle) and d3 car mount screwed to it > gamegripper imo. Trying to upload you a screenshot of the profile setup, once you see that you'll know for sure it works with anything that runs on droid, including the home app/any app/game but its being stuborn, I'll get it up in a bit.
Edit: Uploaded that screenshot of the profile setup with my fpse profile loaded. The buttons aren't shown when playing a game or anything, only time you see where the button taps are position on the screen is when making/editing profiles so nothing interferes. sorry it took so long, used a friends laptop just to get them up lol. You'll notice I have the analog buttons overtop of the digital pad so I can use either/switch during gameplay etc
USB OTG work OK for keyboard, mouse, hdd, but absolutely no support for joysticks. I tried 5 different USB joysticks, none seems to work. USB device VID and PID visible, but no dev/input/js*. Also I did not find any joydev.ko module. Is there any success on nook hd cm10.1 joystick using?
Seems like PS3 controller works in this video: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42141795&postcount=491

Yes I saw it, but my original PS3 does not work with NOOK HD (10.1 20130719). Nether D-pad nor analog sticks.
Make sure you're using a USB hub, and you'll need to purchase the USB/BT Joystick Center. That app recognizes many usb controllers, and worked for me on a generic NES, SNES controller, and PS2 to USB adaptor. I was upset when I bought the app and it still wasn't working, then I got the USB hub and it all worked. Hope that fixes it for you!

Thank you. Is this your own experience with NOOK HD? Is this NOOK HD or NOOK HD+? What CM version?
I purchased NOOK HD as a dedicated device to control my Ar Drone quadrocopter, the control program has joystick support. So I did everything I could to make it working.
1. None of my joysticks (including original PS3) work "as is". No dev/input/js* file created, no eventX for joystick (no usb hub, but no dmesg on excess power). All them are visible with lsusb.
2. Sixaxis checker cannot detect controller (BT master address changed properly). No use.
3. Joystick Center/BT. PS3 is not detectable. I was able to detect generic USB controller and assign joysticks and buttons. Theheadsn in the control program I can map buttons, but no luck with analog sticks. Then I tried touch event emulation (Joystickcenter/BT)+Joy2touch server. I can put control on the screen, but no touch event injection. I asked author of Joycenter and he has no idea how to fix it.
The last 2 attempts with joycenter are here (I made the video to ask the author).
I'm not permitted to post direct links to youtube, here are video: w1tWqoG5QFI and Bbgb8z1WGWo or check my channel nnnkkk123123
I dont know what to do. Any advise is very much welcomed. I'll try with USB hub.
You were right!
Original PS3 works fine over usb hub. Third party PS3 doesn't ( but OK with Playstation). Both create dev/ input/js0 and joystick event.
PS3 can work as a regular joystick, including analog axis and with Tinkore KeyMapper can simulate touch events ( so can be used with programs without joystick support). In contrast to Tinkore KeyMapper Joycenter/BT does not inject touch events in NOOK.
Alexb54 thank you, you made my day!

Did you have any performance issues when simulating touch events with Tinkore KeyMapper. I just tried it and it slows down the entire performance of the device with it enabled. Framerate is choppy and no longer fluid when playing games. This is with my Nook HD+ on the latest CM10.1 build by verygreen.
USB/BT Joystick app seems to work just fine with my USB controller. I can map all the keys but, as you mentioned, the touch overlays do not work when enabling the touch server app. The app works fine and you can assign the virtual buttons on the touch screen, but nothing registers when you press the buttons on the controller after exiting touch edit mode. Still, even if it did work, there is a significant performance drop when playing games with the touch overlay enabled. Its the same issue with Tinkore KeyMapper app. This is a shame since my original nexus 7 works just fine with the virtual buttons and there is no performance issues when enabled.
I just tried with my original ps3 controller, it doesn't work...mine is not a dualshock though..

fyi moga controller and the gamestop cheap blue tooth controller work fine.
six axis app does not work currently with ps3 blue tooth.
Hello everyone I just wanna give some tricks on how to connect any Bluetooth gamepad controller to your rooted K10.
First of all you need to root your device.
Second is to install an app called "gamekeyboard+" this app requires root permissions to work. It will manipulate the touch screen.
Connect Bluetooth gamepad.
Run the gamekeyboard+ choose standalone in the settings then click volume up as it will show the mappings.
Now its up to you to make a set up and make different no. of profiles for different no. of games.
