[Q] Guitar Hero 5 Need Network? - Desire HD Themes and Apps

Hey guys,
I have installed Guitar Hero 5 to my Desire HD and I am not using a SIM card right now. I could play it without any problem on Wi-Fi but out of Wi-Fi or network it's giving the error message below,
Do you have any idea Why I am getting this error message?
It's also the same for the game RockBand as well ?

Network not registering

Every once in a while I would notice, when I unlocked my phone, it would say "Emergency Calls Only" as if I didn't have a SIM card in.
Everything would still work after that such as text messages and calls, so I just figured it was a weird issue with Cyanogen 6 RC1.
Starting today, I was getting that message every single time, and also a notification that I couldn't register on T-Mobile's network.
I got on T-Mobile's live chat help, and they said there's nothing wrong with the service in my area. The person also had me tell him the SIM card number to ensure they had the right one in their system, which they did.
After this, I figured it might still be because I'm running CM RC1 so I upgraded to RC3 and I"m still having the same issue.
T-Mobile's "my account" program is no longer set up, so I don't get the notification, but I still get the emergency calls message on the lock screen.
Also, I AM connected to the T-Mobile network, but it just won't recognize my phone.
I was wondering if anyone else had any insight...
Which radio are you using? Has it done this since upgrading from stock rom?
Yes I just had this similar issue yesterday and I'm on at&t. Also, everything on my N1 is stock.

I had the froyo radio but then I flashed the new Korean radio and it didn't help.
I did, however, pull out the old trusty G1 to have a working phone again. But when I started it up, it reported not having a sim card. Im going to go to tombile tomorrow to get them to test it. I'll report back in case someone else has the same issue.

You might try cleaning the SIM card contacts, they might be the culprit.
I went to T-Mobile and he confirmed it was the sim card. Actually he said it was fairly common for them to go bad. No charge and I'm working 100% now. Thanks!

I have not in my life seen a dead SIM card, it was a month ago that somebody was asking around the forums what and why. I was shocked
And T-Mobile says it's common.. lol wut?
Maybe the Nexus One eats them lol

[Q] Hey guys, who can give me a little help? thanks

Hello, my dear talent xda delevelpers,
I bought a T-mobile HD7 online few days ago, and i am using it in China now, the operator is China Mobile. I face some troubles these days, and i am searching the whole world but i can't get the answers, please help out.
1. How to identify HD7 is unlock or not? Then i know if i need to unlock it.
2. I could not get any date service (Wifi is not available for me), i am sure i input the correct APN but no data service in HTC HUB/marketplace/Emails, ect. Data connection of the same SIM card works on my old phone O2 Xdalli perfectly, but not on HD7. Is it because of not unlock or how can i get advance settings?
3. I heard that there is "CONNECTION SETUP" on other HD7s, but i cann't find it in marketplace or HTC webside, can somebody send me this app? maybe i can solve the data connection problem with it. Also, i want an "ATTENTIVE PHONE" app, please send me as well if you have.
4. My last question is, i got a T-mobile SIM card in the box, is it come along with any balance or package? Can I use it in China by roaming?
Waiting anxiously and really appreciate your help. Thank you so much.
1.Try putting your local sim-card ,if there is no network then yours is locked.
2.For data connection , I got HTC Connection Setup.
You can download it from Marketplace.(its under HTC apps)
Since you dont have Wi-fi I recommand you do this setup at your friends,Or at some internet center.
3.Sorry I dont think its currently possible to send over apps. You have to get it from Marketplace yourself.
4.As for the last question , hy dont you try using the T-Mo card and see what happens

[Q] Captivate Media Only ROM

Hello All,
I am interested in turning one of my spare Captivates into a Media Player with no phone functionality whatsoever. I still want to be able to use wifi and GPS as well as access the Market. Has this been done already or is there just a easy way to do this on any given ROM so that the "No Sim Card" message disappears along with the "no service" symbol in the menu bar.
Thanks for your help.
Dreps
Why don't you sell your captivate, buy an Ipod touch, and put some $ in your pocket?

[Q] G1 on Rogers wont let me continue with setup

Hi all,
I just got a TMobile G1 from ebay to replace my rogers dream.
I slipped my sim card into the G1 and it was working fine from out of the packaging. I decided to reset to factory because the previous owner left all his personal info on the G1.
Now I get an android startup screen, I type in my gmail user/pass, and the G1 cannot connect to the gmail servers.
The G1 aint picking up the 3g, and as well, it is not giving me an option to use a wireless setup either.
I would like to root the phone, but how can I from this setting on the G1?
Can I root a phone without a SIM card?
I thought that the TMobile G1's worked on rogers?
I asked on the forums before purchasing this phone.
Thanks
Heeter

[Q] No Service - Insert Sim Card to access network services

Hi Everybody.
Well, i bought my Samsung Galaxy 6 months ago and it's a awesome phone, but now I've got some issues.
4 Months ago - My phone comes with froyo 2.2.1 so I decided to update it using kies to Gingerbread 2.3.3, after that, My phone starts to had some issues, first when I press the home button the phone didn't response, the screen was in black but I could get calls, messages and lisening to music, this was solved after reboot the phone but in any time could happen again.
Now - because the issue before, I decided to use Darky's rom 10.1 and the issue suddenly dissapear.
After 1 moth and a half I decided to flash Gingerbread 2.3.4 stock rom and a new issue appears and since there, I can't solve it.
Sometimes, my phone get lost its signal and when to "Network Selection" a message comes out "Insert Sim Card to access network services", I can't do any call o use 3g, the only way to solve it temporarily is rebooting the phone.
I use many versions (JVP, JVQ, JVR, even MIUI) but the issue still happen.

That's what I thought, but I changed my sim card when the problem began.
Should I change my sim card again?
Regards.
I think he meant changing a new sim card with the phone company?
Yes you should replace that sim card from your company.

ok, I'm going to chanche my NEW SIM CARD (becase it's new) for another one.
I hope this will solve my problem, I'll let you know if everything is ok or not.
Thanks.
I have just solved a similar problem with my Samsung Galaxy S I9003.
The reason was software unrelated but seemed to be a hardware connection problem. The phone was unable to access the mobile network showing a "No Service" status, also the IMEI number was unknown on the phone settings. The mobile wasn't even requesting the SIM Card code when it was turned on. But the rest of the services were working properly (wifi, bluetooth, etc).
Although i tried everything such as re-flashing, re-rooting and even IMEI restoration techniques such as in youtube "Samsung Galaxy S (IMEI Restoration Techniques)", I was unable to fix it.
The solution was to open the phone and just adjust the sim card slot connectors. I will keep the phone on testing to see if that happens again.
