[Q] Unable to add photos to contacts

Hi,
I'm a Android newbie. I recently got a Samsung Captivate (default f/w version: I897UCJH7), which I upgraded to Froyo (I897UCJI6) and rooted etc. I also deleted a bunch of stock apps.
The problem: when I try to add a photo to a contact, it fails. When I go from Contacts->Edit-> (click on photo icon) -> Select Photo -> Album - it always says: 'No pictures are available on the phone.' I have photos taken with the phone that are in /sdcard/DCIM/Camera. I also tried with external photos copied into that folder. Not sure if this worked out of the box/prior to all the hacks.
Also, when I go the other way - click the camera app, pick an existing photo and say 'Set As' -> and pick a contact -> it crashes (vibrates) and then throws up this message: 'The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.' This definitely worked out of the box (prior to the upgrade/rooting).
What's wrong - is this a result of the upgrade/loss of some apps? :-( How can I fix it? Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you have installed the leaked froyo, that has some problems that come along with it. Personally, I have not flashed the leaked froyo bare version so I would not know. I recommened flashing cognition 2.3b6 because it is based on the captivate froyo leak and it is very stable.

[Q] FM Radio will not start optimus 2x

Hi there, 1st question post for me so be gentle i'm a noob!
I have an optimus 2x on vodafone, not rooted, on froyo 2.2.2
The FM Radio widget when accessed comes up with the message:
"the application FM Radio (process com.lge.fmradio) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" and the force close button.
It wont let me uninstall the widget and i have downloaded the fmradio apk as mentioned in another thread but it wont overwrite the existing widget.
Am I missing something here??? The Radio worked fine up until about a week ago.
Any help appreciated

Try clearing it's data in the application settings.

Try reinstalling the original APK file posted here:

Download, mount SD to PC, copy it to SD, then use Astro File Manager (free on the market) to install it.

Backup assistant and My Accounts issue!!!

So basically this happened to me. I was experimenting random reboots and made a hard reset in order to see if this fix the issue. Everything seems normal, bnut after I registered my google account the Backup assistant shows and try to connect to server but then came this messages "Network unavailable, please contact Verizon customer support for assistance". I cancel the message and the the Setup Accounts screen shows up, I click on "done adding accounts" then next and then another message appears "Sorry! The application My Accounts (process com.motorola.setup) has stopped unexpectly, please try again" and then I can do nothing, this screens continue showing. I pressed the haptic buttons and nothing happened. I can't go to home screen or even phone configurations. The only things that my phone can do right now y receive sms and calls. What can I do???? PLease help!!!!

use the mic to get online download an app when U do it will prompt U to allow it to install while ur doing that also allow debuggin n anything else u might need to get it to use adb.
after that use pete's motorola root tool to restore the system apps n root.
reboot n ur done

Thanks. I try to do that. I download the Droid Original System file and wheh I click on restore my/system app button, this message shows:
ERROR: /restore/ backup doesn't exist or is incomplete!
These files must be downloaded and saved to your computer in a /restore/ subfolder
Do you know where I should put this restore subfolder?

Recovery: Reinstall Keepsafe...Please help me!

Hello everybody,
I habe a big problem..
I sold my p990 to my little brother, on the device was the app keepsafe installed,which contained some for me pretty important pictures...
Now my brother recovered the P990 and all apps are done..
Picture which was safed on the internal memory are still there but the apps like Keepsafe are away..
Now i need to get the pictures back!
If I want to reinsatll the keepsafe app the Google play store crashes( com.android.vending) and I get the error "android.process.media" is crashed.
I need you help!
I need the pictures..please help me..

Why don't you try to find the Keepsafe.apk by googling or on 4shared.com.
Put the .apk on your sd card and install it...

What can I do?
I deletet the download manger files,the market updates.

Is the LG 2x rooted?
Try to use root explorer, to go on whatever the fotos may be, maybe the photos are movable with this explorer

Applications stop working

Hello
I have problems with some applications..
For now I took 2 screenshots with 2 different errors, but 1 left, if I will get 3rd error I will post here (unusual error)
1. Sometimes camera need really long time to loading, and sometimes camera popup error: Camera is inaccessible. Even if is loaded and I want to switch camera type I can get this error and whole camera application will close..
2. I don't know why but applicaton Album stop working sometimes, that's kind of annoying when you're trying take a look on your pictures or do somethings with them.. When you're even trying to edit them or select a few pictures, you can get stop application and it will close.
In attachments you have my smartphone info and screens of errors.
P.S. Sorry for my english, but I hope you understood me

Try to wipe data factory reset or firstly you can try to wipe cavhe and dalvik it could be related to custom ROM IF problem persist you can always back to stock and see what will happend on stock ROM. You have to investigate by yourself because in my case on custom stock based munjeni or dztriker i dont have such a problem
