Sorry if it was explained already or this is a standard gmail.apk feature, but for me it seems random...
I have a flipfont (helvetica before frutiger both the same issue even on eclair) installed but I think I had it on stock too.
And thanks for any help
Froyo 2.2.1 JPY

Another thing is. I cant read it almost. The font (even the stock one) its not solid. I can see on the small texts thats is almost translucent kinda, dunno how to explain this, like pixels are missing. When its bold its fine.
When I put 2 phones together, both with the same font.
1. Hero with only on DPI 120
2. SGS with 240
The hero despite the fact its smaller and has a much smaller DPI is much better readable as the SGS and no "pixels" missing.
Anyone encountered this? Is my SGS faulty?

No your SGS isnt faulty, it has to do with the S-amoled screen,
instead of a regular RGB , it has PenTile matrix. The Nexus One and Desire have that too (the amoled ones) look at the bottom picture of this Wikipedia page
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PenTile_matrix_family
Ah thanks and now explain the gmail thing . You have it too?
I dont use Gmail so I don't know
Okay thx anyway
Sorry to bring this topic again after so long.
I think this is a problem happens if you are using custom font (e.g. flipfont, font installer, font changer) and when there's a new email in your Inbox, all the "read" emails will become bold too. I am using Gmail version 2.3.5.2 (Latest). Any fix yet?
Below is the screenshot of mine.

Hello there! I just rooted and installed CyanogenMod a few days ago and have been loving it except for the really small font size on the Lock Screen. Stock 1.6 was much bigger for me. I spent a little bit of time on #cyanogenmod and from my interactions there I've gotten a little confused about where the problem/feature/change lies. Bear with me for a second and please note that while this may seem entirely cosmetic to some of you it really does affect the way I use my phone. I understand if many of you won't care about such a small thing...I'm admittedly anal about these kinds of things and now curious, too, and I'm sure some of you themers out there can relate:
On my myTouch 32B T-Mobile Stock 1.6* before I rooted, the lock screen font size was large and quite visible from the distances I desired reading it from. My memory is blurry on whether it got bigger from 1.5 to 1.6 or stayed the same size (please comment if you have any insight).
After rooting and installing CM, the first thing I noticed was the reduced font size of the lock screen. I'm surprised that my googling and forum searching didn't yield anyone else curious about the font reduction...maybe it bothers me more than it should.
See for yourself:

The shot on the left was taken by me and the one on the right is borrowed from the Contact Owner website (the first shot online I could find that matches what I was used to in 1.6).
So the reason I'm posting this up here is to ask:
How big is your font size in 1.5? 1.6? CM? Was it weird for me to have such a large font? Do your experiences coincide with mine or differ? Do you also desire a larger lock screen if yours is indeed as small as mine? Devs: do you have insight into what kind of steps I could go through to make the font bigger? I have not yet taken the plunge into the SDK or taken a peak at the AOSP source, though I'm planning on both at some point, so pardon the naivete. I'm also aware there are complete lock screen replacements like Stericson's, and that could be an eventual solution if I don't turn anything up, but the stock screen has suited me just fine up until this point.
It seems a shame to not be using all those wonderful pixels to there fullest when my $500 smartphone is acting as my timepiece!
Thanks if you have any info.
*Pardon me if I'm in the wrong place, I know there's a Sapphire section but I felt inclined to post in a place that is a little more Cyanogen oriented, a little more Q&A oriented, and besides I really don't think this has to do with hardware.
Hi, I've just found this post having the same issue. I've moved from 1.5 to CM and that was one thing that I miss from stock... Did you find the solution?

Unfortunately I did not. Just learned to live with it... It's reassuring to see that someone else noticed the change, though.
Any updates?
Nope. Anyone have a suggestion for a better place to put this post? I'm thinking maybe Android Development and Hacking > Android Themes now that that exists.
Is this something I should just repost manually over there or does a mod want to move it for me?
Thanks!
exactly what it says found this on one of the forums update zip install.

... is not at least 10 characters.
Works great! Although I'd prefer a bit more quality on the background. I figured it should have been better being a direct pull from the Nexus S.
Anywho, I sorta remade the static background of it last night pretty quickly on my laptop with no mouse since I dig the design. Maybe those of you with the Nexus Revamped Pro edition may want to use it with a custom background so it looks a bit better.
Thanks for this. New look for today.

It's not a direct pull from the Nexus S. This is just a look alike made by the3dguy. The real one will look nicer when we get it.
Ahhh I stand corrected. Only one more day I suppose
Found this in yet another system dump people are doing. Still doesn't look that crisp.
If you're like me and the white of sites hurts ya, might like grey text on black. You can use Stylish with XDA - High Contrast style to change it. If you do that you'll see the text is yellow but you can edit it and use #736F6E everywhere you find #FFFF33.
I know off topic and outa left field, but know some others like dark themes too:
Stylish - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/stylish/
XDA - High Contrast = http://userstyles.org/styles/24695/xda-high-contrast
(All credit for style goes to sickbox)
PS, side note, if width requires you to use bottom scroll bar, change width in style. I changed it from 1200 to 1000 and worked perfect.

Please move if out of place. Meant to put in off topic but got distracted while reading in general and posted here.
Sorry
Looks cool
That is pretty awesome actually
Nice! But I prefer Blue
So mine's a little weird...anyone know what's going on with this?

The main background of the website is right (black) but the forums are still their original background color with some text colors changed.
I'm running FF 4.0.1 right now.

There are 11 instances of #FFFF33 to replace with whatever HTML colour you choose. In vBulletin each little section is controlled by a command so if you skip that section, you'll end up with it being white or whatever colour it was before.
And by all means, experiment with different colours. If you wanna change the body or boarder to a different colour than black all you have to do is find the colour you want and change it, just make sure you put "!important;" (without " marks) to override the style native colour
Hey guys!
I recently changed my DPI setting to 240 HDPI
Would like to know if there is anything you can do to get the JKay mod to be bigger on the lockscreen. Or at least make more buttons so it fills out the screen cuz it just looks bad specially when its in the center of the screen..
At least it would be nice to put the buttons on the bottom of the screen.
And for all you others who have 240 HDPI density, would be nice if u could post what u had to do to adjust the apps and mods to look good.. So we could have everythin in one thread. Lets see how many replies this thread gets and the i will edit my post so its more of a collection of links or sumthing for users who dont have a clue what to do when they change their DPI settings.
All I had to do was to get exDialer and a modded S-memo
Sent from my superior GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
Where did you get that modded S-memo? It's annoying as hell that the backgrounds don't work anymore after changing DPI. A plain white background is apparently build up of white lines, which get tore apart if you change DPI haha.

I used this

The link on the first post is dead so go to the 9th and there is a new link
and for more info i found this thread also

These threads solved all my problems
I also recommend ADW EX launcher, its awesome, so fast and smooth
Good luck mate
Thanks for the reply!!
Btw, LauncherPro also works great with lower DPI. Setting more columns makes for much more room for icons on the homescreens. And of course more info!

Hi all!
Got a recent problem i flashed a new CM on my HOX and now i cant stretch UCCW skins till the border of screen.
I got last Nova Prime, no status bar, no dock bar, no margins, and i always get 2/3 px margin in skins in the bottom of the screen.
Its like the util area of the desktop doesnt go till the end of the screen, and i got that 2/3 px in bottom that i can see the background.
Never happened to me, i already had this UCCW theme properly adjusted to my screen, and after flashing the rom i cant fit it properly ..
I checked and double checked every setting, even expanded desktop in CM settings, and i cant figure what im missing.
Anyone can give me some hints ?

i have same issue with the fit of UCCW to the both edges of the screen. It's fit to the top and bottom conner but at the midle of the edge, it seems to be an arc.
