recently in the last few days ive been having problems with my phone .
when plugging in the usb lead from pc to transfer files ,the computer doesnt detect the phone correctly and i get a usb error . tried hard reset etc no difference .
wifes phone connects perfectly . using darkys 7.6 rom on both phones
when i remove the usb cable the phone still indicates that its charging and will continue to do so until i remove battery and restart phone .
the phone detects the cable as it does the indicator bleep ,but i get no mass storage notification.
just hoping the usb connector isnt damaged internally ,doesnt feel loose and the phone is looked after also its the 16 gb version which arent available anymore.

Hey guys,i have a situation here..when ever i coonect my phone to PC ,USB storage isnt getting detected nor the phone is getting charged
ive been experiencing this from past 12 hrs..the battery charges randomly but the USB storage is not detected.
I have kies installed, usb debugging is ON(ive tried switching it off) and im on LSA ROM!
any help would be appreciated!h:fingers-crossed:
Might be a problem with your usb cable
Try changing cable or check for dirt in the port. Clean gently and retry.
yeaha! thanks mate..it worked !
Well this problem drives me crazy.
My phone (i9070) doesn't make any sound when I plug it on my computer or charger and no charging indication appears either on the phone.
On computer side device appears under the storage devices.
However is seems that the power connection is working since if I restart the phone while the power plug is still connected the charging indicator appears. In addition after the restart the battery seems to reach 100% extremely soon (which is not normal at all). Unplugging the charger (or the computer) doesnt detected either by phone, the charging indicator is still active until restart.
I tried to factory reset the device and still "no juice".
I have tried 3 different cables with two computers where the device was connected few days ago without any problem.
I don't know what should I suspect.
Faulty battery? Faulty data connection on phone plug? OS based issue?
Any ideas?

What ROM and what kernel you are using?
Sent from my GT-I9070 using Tapatalk
Sorry forgot to mention these info:
Kernel
3.0.31-CoCore-EP-8.2
Updated to 8.2 after the problems I had CoCore 8.0 until the problem appeared.
ROM
LightJB v1.2
I used to work with JellyMod v4.0 until the problem appeared and I switched to LIghtJB v1.2 to test if the problem fixed but the same behavior here.
Should I replace my battery?
Is there any way to check if the USB connection gets detected by the phone hardware (a diagnostic procedure)?

Put the phone in download mode, connect to PC via USB cable and open Odin. If the phone connects, I recommend a reflash with one firmware.

Computer doesn't detect any device either.
Any ideas?

Is it charging? Bad cable? Change USB port on PC, put it in some other.
You said you have charging problems? It is not shown (in phone, procentage is not going up) or it is not charging at all?
Luckily for u it's a broken flex (cheap) it costs $10 including tools to fix it yourself on ebay

Hi All,
I also have the same problem.....
Can anyone help me.....
I have a T-Mobile Note 4 with RAPTURE ROM installed, and about a month ago I noticed that it wasn't charging very fast ("USB" charging speed even when plugged in with original charger and cable). When plugged into a PC, even in ODIN mode, all I get is "USB Device Not Recognized".
I had a phone repair shop replace the charging port, thinking that was the problem, yet it still persists. I really have no ability to test if it's a ROM issue, because to go back to full stock requires that ODIN recognizes the phone...
Any suggestions? I have searched high and low and can't find a resolution. I even tried restoring to an earlier TWRP backup with a different ROM and also got the same result.
the easy way to test if it is a rom issue or usb issue, boot your phone odin mode, and connect to computer, if computer recognized your phone, then better change your rom, if same issue then your phone may have hardware issue.
most repair shop check only usb charging after they fix it. they dont check computer connectivity.
based on my experience, your phone charging port is not working, some pins aren't touching the board. but the positive and negative pin for charging are OK.
You should take it back to the shop to double check it again.
My uncle bought a new phone so he gave me his old Xperia Z, which I intended to use as a secondary device
Here's the issue:
-The Z charges only when it is powered off, and that too very slow. Charging it overnight brings it from 0 to 65%
-I can't get my desktop to even detect the phone when it's connected either switched off or switched on. I see nothing in devices and printers
-I ripped apart an old charging cable and tried to charge it through the pogo pin slot (image attatched) it charges alright but that's the only way I can charge the device. Since I intend to install a custom ROM on it, I need to unlock the bootloader, and that's impossible without connecting to a computer
-Also when I connect a usb drive through USB OTG it just glows its led and does not blink it
I'd like to know what the issue might be and what are possible solutions
I think the problem is in hardware and the connections of one of the data pins of the USB port is broken.
Ok , so a few weeks ago i dropped my phone twice. From the next day i was facing problem with charging and usb-otg was not working , One side of the Earphone only worked.
And somehow i f***ed my system up also the recovery. now its pretty much dead
Cant flash anything cause usb is not detected
Went to few service centres, they said they have changed the pcb board but no luck, it only charges, no usb connection.
So, wadda hek do i do now?
Any magical way to flash without usb connection?
(Converted mi-a2) Mi-6x
Since you convert it, you basically f* up, mi a2 android one is basically unbrickable. . . Sort of it uts still android one.
Try to charge your phone with a brick. If it starts charging it means it's not totally dead. You can either try to flash a recovery with a usb 2.0 port from your pc or update the pc adb fastboot drivers or flash in edm mode wich requires opening the phone e connect it to the pc while touching in 2 specific spots. If nothing of that works you usb board may be fried and you can always buy one from AliExpress for cheap. Good Luck
