Vaja case for Athena...

Looks like Vaja cases are coming up with a case for the Athena.
When you go to the site and do the following clicks, it leads you to a form that you can fill out specifically for the Athena. You can submit your suggestions. These cases are AWESOME. Let's get as many people to go in and submit suggestions so they know there is interest. I want to buy one of these when they come out.

Done. I told them that I needed a nice case for carrying the Ameo without the keyboard, and suggested a two part case that can be used with or without...

well, the athena vja case site has been up since the athena was released, definetely since april. so that doesn't mean anything.

Ah, thanks for that info. Maybe we'll see something soon with the release of the device in the US and exposure to an expanded market.

UPDATE
Well...there might be hope for the Vaja case....
When I replied to Vaja that since they didn't know when they'd be releasing the Athena case I might need to get the available now PielFrama case instead, they replied that I should contact them again in a few days...
Well, a few days went by and I emailed them again yesterday....waiting to hear back from them....
For those interested in a Vaja case, you might want to email them asking when it will be available.....squeaky wheel gets the grease....

There we go. We'll see. It would be great if they came out with two cases. One full body and the other for main device without keyboard. I would buy BOTH!

Anyway, shoot them an email asking them for an update...

At present that model is not in our immediate manufacturing plans.

This is the reply I received from a recent email asking about any plans to make a case for the Athena. Looks like we're getting the short end of the stick after all...

Spoke with Otterbox about the TMO US case. Here is the response if anyone cares.

Wow those "Commuter" model ones are sharp!!! I just added my interest/request via that form....hope they release one and soon! A little pricey perhaps, but I'd pay it if they're as nice as they look

Honestly, A good case is worth $30 or so to me. I have a $450 phone and am absolutely OCD about scratches, especially on the screen. I like PDair but they like everyone else has yet to release a US version. I ordered the Fommy rubberized plastic but it isnt shipping for a couple weeks. I have Otterbox cases and can say the fit/finish is second to none. Plus the commmuter is thin and actually protects well. I think if they get enough interest, they will make it.

Yes I agree, and those are easily the nicest ones I've seen so far.
I also got a very quick reply from their service team...same exact wording as the one you got

Yep, that's a nice looking case right there. We need more people to sign up there (that are also committing to purchase) so we can convince them that there is a demand for it.

Commited or not, as long as they keep seeing TMO HD2, I think we are in good shape. But as always is comes down to the bottom dollar. Hopefully we can just keep getting people to request it through the site.

Yeah, I sent in my request as well. I probably won't get it considering I've got this new invisibleSHIELD from Zagg, but I'm all about more accessories for our phone

I too just send my requests in. hopefully they will change there minds and make it for us. if enough peep flood their mail box for TMO HD2.

You did see that the one that's coming is for the European version of the HD2, right?

I just got a reply from my request for a T-Mo US HD2 Commuter Case...

Sounds a little more optimistic than previous replies.

i have the defender case for my 3gs....it has saved my iphone twice....once from a ladder...3 feet to a concrete floor and another time down a half flight of concrete steps...about 10 steps. it paid for itself many times over and the iphone still works great

Haven't you checked the website? Their is a upcoming HD2 commuter series for $35. Can't wait for it, been their for a while though.

Slim Cases

I loved the case on my Kindle Fire, as it was super thin, didn't add much weight to it, and still acted as a stand. So far, all the ones that have been released are very thick and do more than I will need. Are there any comparable cases to this one at the moment? Thanks!

I've searched far and wide, but have not seen anything similar yet. It reminds me alot of the incase case I have for my iPad.
Can't wait for something like this to come out, but I have a feeling it will be a while.

hopefully they make a green one. even better if they have the android robot logo hehe.

That's probably the first N7 case that I've seen that I liked. I live in the USA and I don't know how the price translates to dollars but it seems high for me.

I also made another thread to tell people about an email I received from Marware as well. Here's what I got:
"Hello WindyCityRockr
Thank you for contacting Marware.
We've been told that Nexus 7 cases are being prepared and should be shipping in 6-10 weeks. We do not know which styles or types of cases are being made at this time, but yes, there will be a few offerings soon.

The case isn't an official Nexus 7 case, and I don't know how well it would fit the Nexus 7, as it was nicely snug on the Kindle Fire. I'm just hoping they release a similar one for the Nexus 7.:fingers-crossed:

I've had one of those on my TouchPad for about a year now, it offers great protection but adds a lot of weight and bulk since it's virtually two cases in one.

Incipio are making cases

Hi Folks,
I emailed Incipio last week to see if they intended making covers for the N7 like they do for the Ipad and they emailed me back last night to say they are releasing a range of products but no details are available yet, but to keep an eye on their website and there should be info there soon. Would really like a Incipio feather case for my 7 along with a smart cover..
Hopefully in the next few weeks we'll have more info

Hope they make the legend case! Its the best case I've seen so far

These cases are amazing. I've Put some cash aside for when these are released. Even the international shipping seems reasonable. I'm surprised there isn't more mention of these on the forum rather than all the cheap plether bulky rubbish everyone seems to like! No accounting for taste!

Any updates on this?

I got this response from them yesterday. I did ask about which specific cases might be available but no details yet.

Exactly. Google is selling tons of these things and it's been over a month now. I want to give my money to anyone that comes out with a "tank" case but no one is stepping up to the plate.

...or maybe it's because one size fits all and so it's easier to get one to market early.
No company can set up, tool up and manufacture quality products at the drop of a hat never mind them wanting to make sure there's going to be a sustainable market for it.
I realise that moaning is one of the US national pastimes but these forums are international and believe me it gets very old very quickly having to trawl past all these whinging posts to try and find the good stuff.

Oh please. I'm not one of the complainers on this board and my post was not whining. These tablets have been selling like hot cakes and it's been out for long enough where someone should be making a hard case by now.

i agree with this. i also believe google announced the tablet and released it 2-3 weeks later and didn't work with anyone on accessories. perhaps it was to generate sales of their case, but the consumer got screwed. i'm not a fan of the asus case. from day one i wanted a leather case and over a month later, i'm still limited in my choices becasue companies are still working on their cases. i emailed marware last week and they still said 4-6 weeks.

Incipio makes decent cases, but they're always way overpriced. I got the N7 because of its value, and this is going to carry over with my accessories for it. If I wanted to overspend, I would have gotten an iPad.

Sucks but maybe if a few more people email them they will make a case. I think a lot of companies are not willing to make a case because they would have to design a case ground up due to button placement.

I emailed them yesterday also. I've had the surface holster combo for my last few phones, so I really hope they go forward with the G2 cases. I'll be pretty disappointed if they don't...

Cool deal. I've had several different cases by them for various devices and would love to follow suite with the G2.

I've always been a big fan of their holsters. I sure hope they develop their usual plate of goodies for this phone.
