I can still receive calls. When someone calls me I can answer and talk for as long as I want. I get no data though and I can't text. I can get them though. This is weird as they called and told me my service was interrupted due to an outstanding bill. I still carry my phone around because I receive calls and texts more than I make them. To be honest this really hasn't even become a a hassle. I wonder why it happened like this.

Do you guys have issues with sometimes not receiving a text?
I have an HD7 with Tmobile USA
and I've had ppl saying they text
me yet they never did
At first i thought it was just lies that
guys tell but i've gotten the same
story for certain friends.
Just wanted to know if it is isolated
or if someone else was having the
trouble i am
Check the number in messaging settings and make sure you haven't changed it, otherwise I can't think of any other reason, assuming you have not added message blocking or some other feature that limits usage
maybe a network issue in your area. I would talk to t-mobile about it and they can check it out.
I haven't had any problems with texts.
The odd thing is that I have had a vibrant, g2, and mytouch 4g with Tmobile in th same area and those never had an issue
tj
It seems like it only happens like 20% of the time but i feel bad for fussing at ppl for not texting back when it is my phone
and i've noticed this is on both HD7
But it is not a MAJOR problem...just a minor annoyance
lol and i refuse to call tmobile's customer service until next month. I finally can transfer to postpaid instead of being on flexpay aka hell. Trying to explain a problem to them is murder. The language barrier alone will make this whole situation worse...
Another issue that pops up
I decided to use the feature of sms confirmation to let me know when it is sent to the users i send the text or pic mail to(which is annoying) because if i send my usual 1,000-2000 msg daily i will get the same amount of texts from my phone telling me that it has sent the text to the recipient.
Anyway, a new issue pops up that when i send a text, it will say it can't be sent and it will resend later. Even if i have full service, it sends me the message and i literally can't text anyone
then after about 10-15 minutes, it will send it automatically with no issues then sporadically pop back up.
This is shocking because i really have had no issues with WP7 or my hd7 aside from this and now randomly that pink hue on the camera started appearing
the pink on camera seems to be fixed with the ..10u.. rom for a lot of people
i can't say anything on the sms delivery reports, but i know tmo on the east should have way better reception than west
missing texts
I have T-mobile as well. My HD2 would drop most inbound texts. I had to do a hard reset to get it to start working reliably again.
Haven't had the issue since I switched to the HD7.
It is working great now. Idk what was going on with my phone.
Just thought I'll ask if any official Rogers users that have updated their phones officially have experience Ghost Call or missing texts?
No issues what so ever with 20c update that we received. One thing I have noticed is that with that rom I have awesome battery all these other custom roms with stock speed still don't compare. And all these other custom roms only give me the H not H+ or 4g notification only my stock carry rom. But I have never had a ghost call or missing txt.

I've been getting some ghost calls and texts. I'm not sure how often it happens but I have gotten the occasional message from a friend saying I didn't respond to a text I never received or a telephone call I didn't answer.
I'm not quite sure of the frequency that it occurs but it does seem to be a headache at times.
Oh, is that why? I don't recieve 1 of 5 of the texts that my girlfriend sends. I thought it was her phone. And it explains why work has been saying they can't get me through my phone lately. Also, my native camera app doesnt work.
I have noticed that if I use the p920 cm build on my phone eventually I need to reboot because the radio goes haywire and I can't make/receive calls or texts.
Thanks for answering guys, so the verdict is even if you do it by the book you can still receive Ghost calls.
I have a 2 year service agreement with Verizon for standard phone service I'd like to simply integrate onto my tablet. I originally had a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but that's on the side of the highway somewhere (popped out of the gps mount when riding on the motorcycle). So I simply opted for a tablet, something I can remote into my home computer with and play PC games in my down time. I'm still trying to figure out how to get calls to route through it, I assumed Google Voice or Skype would work, but both require you to create your own number or adopt their service. Anyone aware of a way I can simply receive my Verizon calls on my tab without needing this crap temporary flip phone I have to carry around?
Also, I'd assume there would be a way to receive your texts the same way you'd receive calls?
I canceled my sprint contract phone to use the tab only for phone service. I use a combination of a Google voice number with GrooVe IP (paid version, a well spent $4) and Textplus G for texting.
Combined with a blue tooth device and a $30 for 2gig data plan I am rocking a workable phone.
I easily stay under the 2 gig by using wifi whenever possible.
Hope this helps.

Yeah a lot of people benefit from doing that, but my problem is I have a 2 year agreement with Verizon, cancelling my phone number would be a $300+ cancellation fee. I'd also lose my number that everyone knows me by (without having to pay more fees to adopt that number). I'd rather just benefit from using that line.
At about 4AM last night, err... this morning, whatever, I found Vonage Mobile. You pay a few cents a minute but it can route your phone number through it. Which isn't bad, seeing as I'd be talking max 100 minutes a month. Only real catch is it doesn't receive calls, it can only make outbound calls with your phone number. Getting close!! So I suppose that leaves me at finding a program like this, just also accepts inbound calls, or just a separate program that will accept my inbound calls.
I recently switched from an iPhone 5 to the One Dev Edition. After having some signal issues, I went to AT&T, got a microSIM, they switched me an Android data plan, etc. But I'm still having an issue where I can't reliably send and receive calls, especially from my desk at work. I can dial the number and hit Call but that's it. No ringing, nothing. Just dead air, then the "call" ends. If the call does go through, I can hear the other person but they can't hear me. Same thing when receiving a call. I'll hear them but they can't hear me. Sometimes my phone won't ring and it just rolls to voice mail. I can see the signal switching from LTE to H, etc, and I have practically full bar strength. I just don't understand why the calls aren't going through.
Is this an issue with the phone itself? Something with AT&T? Is there a newer radio firmware I can try flashing? I didn't have any issues with the iPhone 5, and I even had my coworker put his iPhone into field test mode so we could compare the numeric signal and they're about even, though the iPhone usually does have a slightly better db signal. I really like the One but not being able to send or receive calls while at my desk is a deal breaker.
Thanks!
From the sounds of it, you are running the stock firmware still? Any root or other possible modifications? If you answered Yes then no to those questions, I would head back to the AT&T store and have them try it out, if anything they should be able to take your SIM card and put it into another Android device and see what happens.
What about text/data, do those work?
You said mainly at your desk you notice this issue, so does that mean it happens at other places as well, same symptoms (full bars, allows to send call then nothing?) You may just be the lucky contestant with a defunct unit, HTC should be able to help you out.
I would suggest first going to AT&T store, try out their suggestions, then if anything give HTC a call/email to see if they can be of any help. At this point I would stay away from flashing custom radios as they may void your warranty then you will really be up $hit creek.
Sounds like att.
I had this problem with tmobile once. The signal wasn't strong enough and it wouldn't call.
Some please are spotty.
Something is wrong with your phone. That should be obvious. Of course the vast majority of people who got this phone can reliably make and receive calls or it would be the biggest mobile phone bust in history.
Sorry to be blunt but you already know it's not the signal so it has to be a defect in the phone.
Thanks for the suggestions. This is the stock Dev Edition ROM. I haven't made any changes other other than just installing apps.
I haven't made a lot of calls but I don't seem to have an issue any where else.
No issues with LTE. Data has been fine.
I wasn't sure if AT&T would assist since this is the Dev Edition but that's worth a shot to have them run some tests on it. Otherwise I'll try to get a replacement (or refund) from HTC.
Thanks!

I've had an issue twice now where I can't make or answer voice calls. When I answer I get nothing but silence, and the other person says it keeps ringing, and when I call I get nothing but silence (no ring or anything on my end, but it does ring for the person I'm calling.). I updated to the OTA after getting it yesterday, and things seemed to be fixed, but today it is doing it again. I have great signal (both LTE and the older network), IMS registered, and not roaming. Has anyone else had this problem? It is extremely frustrating.
Edit: Texts work, mobile data works, everything except calls.
I've noticed the call quality on 1X has been pretty poor. Also, I've had call roaming pop up a couple of times where I've never had any problems in the past. I haven't experienced exactly what you describe tough. We need VoLTE, and we need it quick.
It's still going today. I'm going to take the phone back to Verizon. Completely unacceptable.
Update: Verizon swapped out two SIMs and still couldn't figure it out. Sending me a brand new one.
