Hello everyone!!
I'm pretty new here and not a long time ago a purchased my Galaxy S phone and entered to Android world.
Then I got the Phone I had some built-in apps by the operator, but I managed to delete it somehow after I rooted my phone.
My second problem is restore to original welcome screen, shut down screen and the original dial icon instead of my cellular operator ugly symbols.
Who can advice to me how its done??
tnx to all

Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and very new to this type of phone (Samsung Galaxy S GT i9000) I purchased this phone from a well known internet auction site. The phone was supposed to be locked to Vodafone, but works fine with my Orange sim card inserted.
When I turn the phone on I get a Vodafone logo on start up, is there anyway to remove this logo.
I have also been reading a few posts about this model of phone and the things you can do with it. Being a compleat novice to this type of phone and the forum I have not got a clue what you are all talking about (Senior moment) can somebody please explain what is possiable with this phone and what the benefits are.
Many thanks

Hi guys,
Just got my phone back from being bricked and back to its origonal state but its origonal state, although ive got some signal its not letting me call out or recive calls i thought it was my SIM card but it works in other phones,
So i need to fix it has anybody had the same problem?
software is 2.2, and the handset has 3 button disabled
Also it is on the Orange network
Have you set up your APN and SMS settings as supplied by your network provider . If not do that first .
As it sounds like you no longer have the original firmware from the network on your phone .

Hi found out what the problem was the phone was black listed by orange as the phone was purchased off eBay as an unwanted upgrade, I beloved this has happens to alot of people on orange, all you have to do is call orange and give them your IMEI number and then they unblock it,
Thanks for your help though guys

Ok I'm wondering if someone could help me out here. I picked up a Korean SKT Galaxy Note today, however the LTE isn't compatible with docomo's network. I did some searching online and found that there is a code you can put into the dialer to access a STK hidden menu, which ultimately let's you alter the phone to accept WCDMA frequencies and such. The code is:
319712358
However the phone then requires a password. I found 774632 as the password but when I put in the sequence, nothing happens.
I bought this phone used for 65,000 yen (about $720) and it is apparently unlocked, as I can use my docomo number without a problem. I desperately want to keep the phone (the store said I could return it) but have no use for it without the data, and thus would be incredibly grateful if someone could help me out...
May be try to use 996412 instead of 774632

Hi guys, I have a question. I had to change provider when i bought my new Xperia Z. I also wanted to keep my current telephone number and it takes 10 days to migrate to another provider. So I'm kinda stuck here. The phone i bought is sim-card locked to the first provider, so I cant use the phone before the number is migrated, and I don't want to wait 10 days to play with that cute thing! What the procedure to remove this blockage?
Hi,
Here's a little history of my question.
My sister was using a droid bionic on verizon 4G network. After the end of her contract, she bought a new phone and this awesome phone got passed to me.
Now I brought the phone to India WITHOUT the SIM.
And , to not snoop on my sis's accounts that were on the phone, I did a factory/data reset from settings---> Privacy
Now, the phone boots to android setup as all phones do but touching the android asks for a sim (even though i am connected to wifi). My India Vodafone sim isnt recognised and I'm currently stuck here.
The phone is currently running 2.3.4 stock unmodded, unrooted rom.
I want to update to Jelly Bean(Optional)
Unlock the GSM radio (usiing radiocomm perhaps? havent read thru fully yet)
And then use the phone here in India.
But as I said, I'm stuck in the android setup screen. somebody please advice!
To bypass the setup screen, just tap all for corners of the screen. Start at the top left and go clockwise. That should let you in the phone.
