hello again
i want to ask about flashing
first how can i flash the HD7 ? and what's the deference between Goldcard and normal flash?and how to flash using goldcard, what's the advantages from it?
and if i have official version should i flash official or it's ok with anything? and what's better to flash?
is there any disadvantages if i change my verion with one of ansar flashed?and what will i gain if i use ansar flahes?!
so far as i know, you can flash OEM roms, for example, if your HD7 is T-mobile, then TMOUS ROMs are OK, but not EU or other ROMs like O2, Vdf...for those roms you need Y cable and goldcard.
If your machine shows "security unlocked" on bootloader mode, then can flash any roms.

all Shipped ROMs are available here.
or you could just flash a Custom ROM, which is already Dev Unlocked, or better, here.

For custom roms I need to install hspl? Shipped roms I can install with original spl?i heard that you can easily brick phone by install custom roms and hspl,is that true?

yes, Shipped ROM can be flashed with OSPL, as long as the vendor id's match.
phone can be half bricked if you try and flash RSPL/HSPL onto an unsupported SPL, yes.
if you want to go the Custom ROM route, i would...
01) flash a stock Shipped NoDo or Pre-NoDo ROM.
02) flash RSPL or HSPL.
03) flash Custom ROM with task 29.
04) flash desired Radio with task 00, if desired.

what is vendor id?
and how to know if that id's match?
also what is better, hspl or rspl?

well, if the vendor id's don't match, the flash will fail.
ie. flashing a TMOUS ROM onto a HD7 T9292 will fail, etc.
RSPL is a temporary SPL which will return to OSPL after reset.
HSPL isn't temporary.
both allow one to flash Custom ROMs.

I have a Bell Mobility HD7 but it's stuck thinking it's a Telstra HD7 T9296 rather than a Bell HD7 T9295...
Because of this, I believe, I haven't received an update from Bell for the "disappearing keyboard" thing.
Any idea how I can make it a "fully bell" rom? Do I need to do the "GoldCard" method?
sounds like you are running a custom rom. Is the spl an hspl or original spl (the tricolor screen seen when booting with vol-and power at the same time)? It should say the SPL v1.x.x or whatever version of it is the ospl, meaning the rom is stock and can only be flashed with another stock (i.e. Signed) rom, although for this you shouldn't need gold card, any rom updater should be able to flash provided it is a signed rom you try to flash. You will need to find the rom that came with your device originally, and the rom update package, should be easily available here though. If your SPL screen says HSPL Cortulla then you have a custom spl and can flash any rom you like if it is compatible, i.e. custom roms. That is as much as i can help you there, all the info is in the q&a stickies
Good luck with the hd7, i found it a pain in my butt..lol
(just stay away from the schudiag.img utility!)
Yeah, it's actually a legitimate signed ROM. If I try to flash a BellMo RUU it fails. One of Ansar's ROMs changed my device id and whatnot. So strange.
For some reason, some ROMs flash over others better..when I half-bricked my HD7 into a USB host bootloop, the only ROM that would take it out was an O2 UK signed ROM, and the phone is TMOBUS all the way..once I got 02 to work, then it seemed the ROMs that were failing previously suddenly worked..strange, I didn't investigate to determine a cause or way of deciding which one goes on top of which- I just flashed with trial and error since my phone was already half-bricked and useless already
By the way did you try to install a HSPL via the DFT XSPL installer? I would try and see if it would install the HSPL then try to flash another signed (or custom) ROM on top, that should fix the problem..
Hey Guys.
I've been using the Deepshining ROM for the past lets say 8 months.
Right now I'd like to get back to the "official" one, they were called "STOCK" ones, right?
I haven't been into flashing and so on for the duration I mentioned above, so I'd appreciate any help.
Which one should I download, to get the newest official one?
How should I flash it?
Do I have to flash it using the tutorial?
Where can I download the orginal ROM?
yes make sure u use a stock rom that is nodo version and below and a bootloader which is supported under DFT RSPL/HSPL
if u flash any mango rom that have bootloaders 4.5 and above , yr device is "updated" and u cannot downgrade again.

Just one question, if I use a custom rom and I don't like it, with the goldcard method will the phone go back to the original SPL without RSPL/HSPL?
I want to know before trying a custom rom.

The goldcard method allows you to downgrade the devices SPL. Which needs to be at or below 3.xxx to install RSPL/HSPL.
After the SPL is downgraded then you install RSPL/HSPL. Which allows you to install a custom rom. The custom rom is flashed by entering the device into bootloader mode then connecting it to the PC and running the RUUwrapper provided with the rom.
If you install only RSPL and flash a custom rom the RSPL is reverted back to OSPL after the flash process. So then to flash a different/new rom you have to re-RSPL the device and then flash the rom.
If you install HSPL then you just have to put the device into bootloader mode and flash the new rom.
HSPL is much easier and can be reverted back to OSPL by installing a stock/shipped rom.

To unlock your device you have to downgrade your SPL to at or below 3.xxx and then install RSPL/HSPL and then you can flash a custom rom of your choice.
These are the only methods to downgrade your SPL -
1. Goldcard/ Y cable method - requires a Y cable, either home made or purchased. SD card and a card reader or a flash drive and download a goldcard tool and a stock/shipped Pre-NoDo/NoDo specific rom.
2. Zune restore point by Zubair- if you updated your device from a Pre-Mango state through Zune and still have the PC you did it on, then you can restore your device and then re-update it to Mango again and it will change your SPL to 4.xxx then you can use Shadows tutorial to finish downgrading the device.
3. SLSPL rom by Ansar - This works on Europe devices with firmware revision number .401 and can work on SIM unlocked TMobile devices.
Just follow Shadow's tutorial on downgrading SPL, flashing XSPL and installing roms. It has all the links for the above methods, stock/shipped roms and everything you'll need.

If you need any help or have any questions, just let me know!
Hi,
I am newbie. sorry for that. It tells me that I need flas a NODO rom first to Downgrade SPL
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1271118
I have mango with 4.x version.
1) I think I need to downgrade to NODO first?
2) "flash a NODO Rom first to downgrade SPL" - does flashing Rom means downgrading also? or I need to flas first and then I can only downgrade to 3.x, 2.x, 1.x versions?
3) which SPL version I need exactly? as I know I can flash Rom with 4.x as well. It is not sufficient?
4) Shubert is for flashing or downgrading based on the version if question one is not same?
5) I am in Europe -Germany but I use DE_O2. which version I should use? DE_O2 means O2 branded phones or if I use O2 as provider only. because my card is O2 but phone is not O2 branded.
thanks for the answers.
There is a thread that explains the answer to most of your questions, I think: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295068
Also, the wiki helped me a lot too, so search HTC HD7 on that. I still haven't been able to flash mine (problems with the microsd card reader, maybe).

From what I understand, by downgrading your ROM to an early version, you also end up with a downgraded bootloader. The OLD bootloader is the only one that is capable of allowing you to flash a custom rom such as Deepshining. In order to downgrade the ROM, you need to create a goldcard or use a similar method (there is a method for European devices that apparently doesn't require you to use a Y-Cable/Goldcard, here is the thread on that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1411904 but make sure you completely understand your options first).
Read the replies to see if anyone else had experiences with DE_O2.
