I have the lates firmware, the JPY I took it from samifirmwares.com

any ideas?

The KIES works only with cable (USB) connection in normal case. You can download Kies Air for the mobile wich enable the Wi-Fi connection with the PC. Another solution the WebKey software (you can download it from the market) but this app requires root privileges. With WebKey you can handle the phone from your browser, capture screenshots, send SMS, etc.

from where I can download kies air?
thanks for your answer

[Q] Launcher Pro + Kies Connection Issues?

Has anyone else noticed that the you seem to have to have touchwiz running on the galaxy s or it won't connect via kies? I did a factory reset of my phone and obviously that got rid of all my installed apps and of course launcher pro - the phone then connected to kies without a problem but now that i've got launcher pro back, it refuses to connect to kies again. Has anyone else noticed this which could help backup this theory?
It's a well known issue, the phone seems to treat launcher pro (probably other launchers also though i haven't tried it) as a running app stopping the phone from being in idle. Before I upgraded to Froyo I would have said there was no way round this, but the upgrade seems to have fixed it for me.
Kies isn't really necessary for anything other than firmware anyway.
correct, if you want to use KIES you need to go back to the stock launcher
use HomeSwitcher to do that without closing LauncherPro

I got it working by pre-setting USB mode to Kies in USB settings on the phone (running JP5) and it works fine even with LauncherPro.

oop just replied in other thread cheers
What you also can do is create a shortcut to the kies MTP app (can be done with launcher pro, under activities section when adding a shortcut ). Once usb connected in kies mode, just start the kies app and you're good to go.

Can you elaborate with step by step? Thanks
What do you need elaborated?
There are not that many steps to perform:
1. create shortcut in launcher pro - shortcut -> activities -> MTP application (it shows 2 entries, i had to take the second one. If that one doesn't work, use the other one).
2. connect phone to usb
3. pick Kies mode
4. start up MTP using the shortcut from step 1
5. kies should connect just fine.
Thanks man, I had been using that list in launcher all the time, never thought of using it for this KIES connection problem. Thanks again works perfect!

[Q] Hotmail App

I see that Microsoft has a Hotmail email app for Android now. However when I go to the market website it says it's not compatible with my device "AT&T Samsung SGH-I897". Anybody else having this problem?
same here...
Try finding the .apk and installing via adb. PM me if you have any questions

It installed fine for me (Microsoft + SEVEN app) on both my Captivate running Pinnacle and my SGS2 still stock. The app did update though last night I noticed, so maybe try again.

disconnect app fro internet

hello guys me question is
I want to disconnect app from internet (wifi+3g)
In short I want to run the app offline how can I ??
If you have rooted phone, you can use some app from g play store...
I have avast! mobile security installed - it has firewall included and successfully block/allow internet access for apps i want to.
I think you can use titanium back up or other like application to break market link or stop being connected to internet.

Bluetooth tethering with no root

Hello friends.
I've a Galaxy Gear with no root.
I've installed browser, but it's impossible to go on internet.
It's possible to enable bluetooth tethering on my last stock firmware?
Thanks in advance at all.
Noblesse oblige
Depends. You can use PDA net and brows the web, but if you are on a US/Canadian carrier other than Verizon, the native tethering is not an option, so you are extremely limited. If on T-Mobile, you can flash on of the international roms on your phone. Staying stock will not get you all the things that are possible using a custom rom like _null for your gear.

I had the same issue , I downloaded Easy tether pro on my phone "No root needed". I then enabled MTP on my Galaxy Gear and transferred the APK for Easy tether for tablet on my gear . The 2 apps connect phone to Gear , Viola internet on your Galaxy Gear . Almost forgot . You'll need ES file explorer to look up the app and install on you GEAR .
I have attached images of my progress

problems loading some apps from samsung app store

So I just got my neo and am trying to load some apps on to it. I can load some such as the flashlight app and pacman but I wanted to add an rss reader like appy geek or feedly. Sadly, they say they install and then when I go to gear manager and look on the list, it's not there and I receive a notification that the install failed. I had to go to settings=>apps and remove the appy geek for gear app that way and the same for feedly. I have the apps installed on my phone and am running a GS4 with 4.4.2 and the latest Samsung apps from their website. Is anyone else having issues similar to these or know of a work around?
Thanks!
I'm having this issue as well. Anyone have an answer?

I am having a similar problem.
A friend used my phone to install an app from the samsung store. Now when I want to install the app it says view in gear manager instead of giving me the option to install on my gear 2. There seems to be no way to make the samsung store think it is uninstalled. I have fully reset my gear 2, phone, deleted my samsung account and made a new one, no change at all.
Super annoying. 5$ to anyone with a fix.

Same problem for me on kitkat
The app install on my phone but gets error after that to or when try install on the phone
Did you all mess with Samsung Hub? I know I had this issues when I uninstalled it.
