This is for chat about all sorts of accessories for the EVO Shift.
I just picked up a shift for my wife and got the pink case with the white back for it. Had some trouble getting it on because the snaps for the top of the front just did not want to snap. It was actually very frustrating but she loved it.

I have the male version of that case and I like it so far, blue with the black back. Only complaint is it covers the caps and fn lights from showing, and it makes the top row of the keyboard cramped for me, but overall I like it and the look.

Lol I had to look at her phone to see what you were saying about the lights, but you're right. I didn't even check and I gave the phone to my wife as a surprise so she didn't ever see it without the case so she didn't know there were lights. That is a bit frustrating.
Game Gripper for Shift??
It's pathetic really, one of the big things pushing me towards the epic, is the fact that they have the game gripper pad, I wonder if they will have it for the shift as well??

I doubt it, I personally haven't seen anything like that for phones that have slide out keyboards. Not saying they don't exist, but I haven't seen one yet.

you mean like a pouch? I thought I saw some at Sprint. Maybe check Sprint.com
Body glove usually lags quite a bit, I love their cases, but if your an early adopter sometimes you have to wait a while, at least this has been my experience. I am currently planning on buy a zagg invisibleshield for my whole phone, probably the easy install one, its a little cheaper, and I had a full install for my moment and there was just too much too it for me to mess with it all, tiny pieces.

Finally!!
From reading the blogs and looking at the pics, looks like only the naked Dinc will fit. If we have any type of case, it must be removed. It also looks like that the 2150 is the only extended battery that will fit with the Dinc when its in the horizontal position, meaning if you have the 3500 battery, your Dinc will not fit at all in the phone slot. Anyone else think this assumption is accurate?
That is what it looks like. Idk I'll keep an eye on it obviously out won't be as appealing if I have to take off the case I have on my phone. We'll see it's not that expensive, but it's also completely unnecessary.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Completely unneccesary.. I'm amazingly over paid tho so i have to buy it..:drools:
i cant see it being useful if you have to take off the case imho, but i'm glad to see theres finally a nice dock

That 4th picture shows it with the fat battery cover. Doesn't that mean that a case on a standard battery cover would work?

No, the fat battery cover does not add any thickness to the sides.. only the back.
There's a review at HTCPedia (Linked in the shopping page, I can't post links because I'm new) but I'd love to hear feedback if anyone out there owns this.

Me too. I've been searching around Google, but nothing yet. Today for my N1, I bought a battery cover for $21 on True Supplier, so I'm sure they'll eventually pop up.

HTC gave me a free one for saying my lens thing cracked. They were usually $30 oem. I think there's quite a bit more to the build of the ns back though. It's like half the phone! You could pretty much refurbish the device to new with one. hehe
Wow. I just got a flood of PMs asking to trade my back cover. -_-
Only if you guys throw in cash.
the phone is pratically brand new, it's just been a couple of weeks at best.
give it a couple of months, and the market will be full of selections to choose from, just like whent he Galaxy S started, there was barely any accessories for it.
Now every website you go to, it's flooded with all kind of parts & accessories for the SGS.
I'll pay the monies! I wants the precious!

Anyone have any updates on the back cover? Been looking for one for a few days now with no luck.
Does anyone have a pic or any idea of what the Google employee nexus s battery door looks like?
im looking for a replacement battery door for my NS also.
Not only is this a huge phone because it has a huge screen, Google decided to make the chin part of the phone bigger than it should be. I guess its to make the phone even to hold when you hold it horizontally? Anyway, I thought the advantage of moving the navigation buttons onto the screen was so that you didn't have to make room for buttons, but the chin bezel is big enough for buttons. Actually... now that I think about it, having a tiny chin area would look weird.
If the screen was 4.5" and the bezel was put to use, this would've been a perfect size for me!
Nevertheless, I will be getting this phone because my HD7 dies after sending a few texts.
Well understand that it was adapted from the LG Optimus G, so they probably just didn't rearrange the internals enough to get rid of the "chin". But yes, it is rather silly to get rid of physical buttons to save space, yet not actually remove the wasted space

Yeah personally I prefer it to be like this and have that "wasted" screen real estate because I prefer a smaller phone, so its like a 4.5" phone with the ability to display 720p in 4.7" people complain so much!

Why would you give up such a nice screen for nexus?
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda app-developers app
It's possible Google/LG could've found a way to remove the "chin" on the device. What would you have been willing to give up for that, though? Would you have shrunken the battery? Would you have made the phone thicker? I'm just not sure I would want to sacrifice any of the phone's features over a chin that ultimately balances the phone's design out anyway.
And then The Chin leaves, and Conan takes its place. But all the sudden The Chin wants to come back and Conan can't be on tv for a while. Is that really what you want?

Why would it? How would it be any different from another phone that has it's capacitive buttons there?
dont forget, the led notification light is there. so the big chin is not totally useless
I think is very useful to hold the phone when having a video chat for example, I use Skype a lot and was very annoying on the s3 where was really easy to press accidentally the buttons...

Hey everyone. Just wanted some opinions on whether your going to put a case on this device or not? I am usually a case guy, but I think I'm going to find it hard to cover up such a gorgeous phone!! Also, do u use screen protectors on this device? Haven't used a protector for the last few phones I've had, GS4, LGG2.

I am having the same problem, too slippery for me to feel comfortable without a case. I also have big hands, so it is a little small for me to hold comfortably without a case. I also find I really miss the kickstand that my previous two phones had, so I am thinking about getting one of the cases that include a kickstand.
I always advocate playing safe cell phone, so I wrap it up. However, with my M7, I will take it out of the case while at work because our floors are carpeted.
One thing though: I'm waiting for the silver M8 to come out on Sprint before upgrading because self-proclaimed "careful" people in the unlocked One forum are reporting scratches on the gold and gray versions. The stock silver One has no coating to scratch.

Oh, I'm sure you'll be fine then. I guess I'm just scared about going bareback -- even if it's just occasionally -- with anything other than silver. Apparently, just resting the non-silver models on a desk is leaving marks.

I picked up the dot view case. Loving it so far. Gives decent protection too.

For the first time since my HTC Hero (which I ended up getting Ghost Armor on), I'm going without a case.
Didn't HTC say they would replace a broken screen for free within the first 6 months too?
I never had a case on my M7, but I went through 4 of them for different malfuctions, and each one wound up having a dented corner or scratched up grill. So considering this one is even heavier, I know the damage will be worse.

I feel quite relieved to see that video, but want to see tests by people out there too (and want to put a sock in Bendgaters).
Apple needed to justify there poor design so tried to take some heat away and mock Sammy for a gap which I may add is on most phones to allow for glass to fit in between the frame. Good to see Samsung showing the phone is of high build quality and proving it scientifically. Apple messed up but will never admit it as well.as all the isheeps. I love my Z2 but isheeps are very worrying people. Almost like a cult.

lol why is someone an idiot for using a phone as it was intended. Phones are designed for this kind of abuse. Just because the iPhone is poorly designed, doesn't mean all phones are. I don't put my phone in my back pocket, but tons of people do and their phones don't bend.
