Can anyone recommend a good voice recording app? My main purpose is to record phone calls, and I know I have done it before by using speakerphone and recording...
Was there a recording app with the stock rom? Does anybody have that?

you can use Tasker to do that I think, but you have to manually create the profile

Hi. I've had my Z for nearly a week now and it's bloody brilliant!
One question though, there's no option to make video calls even though there is a front facing camera. I've googled this issue and found nothing helpful.
Anyone know why there is no video call function and if it can be added with a replacement dialer or something????

That I don't know. I use Google Hangout or Skype though. That works fine.

Thanks for replies. I had video call available on my last phone, Xperia Arc, although it was on a custom ROM it was still using the Sony home-screen app. Oh well, I'll find a way eventually...
Skype is great. Used with my Arc, and quality is impressive. And I used it over at&t 3G network, without a problem.
Voice quality is phenomenal!! Like being next door!! Better than using the phone as a phone.
Highly recommend Skype. Plus free Skype to Skype calls!!

Not possible, only using third-party apps (Skype, Google Talk, ...).

Have you found a solution to your video call problem? I'm planning to buy Xperia Z, but I definitely need this feature.
I mean, video call via 3G or 4G network.

My video camera has an issue sometimes recording video with bad syncing or something. If you look at the attached screenshot, thats what the video turns out as. Is there some software anyone knows of that might be able to correct the recording?

i checked and flash was already off. i went and turned off smart capture as well. maybe that will help. i was hoping someone would have some advice on how to correct the already messed up recordings. thanks mwas
Is there a way to switch between front and rear cameras while recording video on MM?
Also, is there a good sms app that does auto reply besides the Verizon Message+ bloatware? I like the Samsung messenger app. I just want that one function.

No idea about 1st but I use Fluenty for second, it works without needing to disable whatever SMS app you use, Textra in my case. Probably not best place to post this if you want a lot of responses
