Well.. Honestly I'd think twice before buy Optimus two on 21st March. In the meantime MANY other device will be on the market. And obviously there will be a lot of Android 2.3.
My fear is due the price: 550 euro (on EXPANSIVE Expansys..) is a good price.. A TOO good price.. (compared to Nexus S..) So I'm afraid they really will ship it on March.. I hope I'm wrong.

Maybe even HTC will show their dual-core devices until than, and it will make me think if it's still good deal to buy Optimus 2X...

That's THE point!
But (in my opinion) HTC is lost in that "4G thing".. It seems to me that HTC want to please USA market only (I don't know if 4G is in other EU country).. It's odd because USA market is full of Iphone, Blackbarry and so on..
Still no news on Italian Expansys.. And Expansys UK still says 21st March.. with some offers too I wonder if price will be cheaper after preorder.. Or maybe it's better to preorder now..

Well as far as i know the 2X should be released sometime in february. You can also pre order it on Amazon Germany for 499€. Quite a nice price if considering other high end smartphones also cost about the same.

correct model is found here but has no details on when its delivered, as far as i can see..
February must be a fluke, many other websites claim march 21. is the day.
According to germans tech site golem.de/1101/80759.html (sorry cant post links yet ) the release is scheduled for february.

sorry.Im currently short on cash and my g/f said when I buy a new phone she will kill me.
I got information from inside the HTC and Microsoft that the driver will be out when :
- HTC Kaiser II and Microsoft Windows Mobile 9 have been released somewhere around 2011.
HTC needs to get smacked with an errection...!

I just made an online petition to obtain ICS for our device. I know someone can say we only want last release of an operating system and such. In my opinion, that's false. Mainly for two reasons, mate:
- I have many friends with LG2x and they can't flash, for a million of reasons, they are afraid of bricks, afraid of not finiding confortable with custom roms, bugs, etc... and I, as CM user, think that we should all get updates, for the money we spent in the phone and the disappointing feeling. We use CM, but it's bad LG just discontinued her flagship phone.
- It's not only Italy's problem: if it were just Italy, I would have worked on other releases and made it available as custom rom, as every other person on this forum would do, but it's a common problem, and I thought we need a common solution.

For what I could understand, smaller offices, like italians just works as test units, so it would be a waste of time to keep in touch with them...

as for other android phones : you get the version installed & 1 update ...
so ... froyo + GB , that´s it. then our phone is outdated.
companies want to make money & sell new phones, so that´s their policy ...

Even the gb leaks are based on froyo kernels. Face it we are never going to get gingerbread let alone ICS because LG simply can't do it. (I blame nvidia aswell btw but thats a whole different story)

i think lg gingerbread 20L rom is a fake .And here is why
1: rumour of new rom for today come from facebook italia
2:first and only new rom posted today is italian .hmm
3:same version as leaked italian rom posted since many months
4:same kernel too
5:same baseband too
6:no new lg widgets or new launcher or whatever
7:Lg chat say they dont know when gb rom will be release but surely before the end of year

Maybe the community pressure made LG release a fake to calm down everyone while they are still working on the real update... coming from LG, expect anything.

the kernel of GB update, is same 2.6.32.9 i think it's already clear since we get the GB leak. so v20L can't be told fake
fake or not fake. its easy to check! can some one post a video with updated phone using front facing camera on skype. and thats it! but front facing camera not back!
The update is not a fake, you can easily check in the LGMobile Update software by changing your country to Italy.
I thought he mean if it's really an update since there is no kernel and baseband change.

Sonds to me more that she said "Update will come, don't know when, and no information about unlocked bootloader". I wouldn't be surprised if the local support people don't know anything about any update plans. It has always been like this with LG, tell nobody and suddenly it's there. Only chance might be that more support people file the user's wishes to LG and some intelligent people there get it done.
I think that the only way to get **** done is to contact Korean lg support.

Samsung has wave phones that have the worst supporting and these wave phones were distributing in Korea. There are users also from Korea for wave phones, but samsung never mind with this phones and users also.
I make sure that the boot-loader will be unlocked for LG O4X , but we need a little bit time to wait and contact LG Developers

I'm from India...and so far all we know is, its coming to India, end of November, 2012.
Pricing isn't out yet...but there are speculations that it would be around 28,000 INR. I have my doubts about this..
So...let's wait for further feeds from LG...and I request anyone reading this that if you see any essential piece of information anywhere on the net, please share it here...

i'm from Malaysia... The last time they brought in the nexus 7 and sold the 16GB version for RM999. Thats killer cheap. its the price of my single core ICS hTC One v. i'm hopping they'll bring the nexus 4 at a cheap price like the nexus 7 ^_^

Korea uses different radios for 3G anyway. When I taught in Korea my GSM phone got no reception at all in Incheon and Daegu, and I assume elsewhere (though I put it in airplane mode and used it as a camera mostly).
It's just too bad Korea/US/almost every country uses different bands for LTE :/

Offline availability may be sale outside of playstore, since India don't have playstore ,they can't sell it through playstore!
If LG sells it at around the same Play Store price in other countries it would be a massive hit !! Looking for the Nexus 4 8GB around 16000 -17000 INR. If it is so, i would have it in my hands ! Keeping an eye on November end !!
