Hi. Was wondering if there is a way to solve my problem. I rooted using 1.01 and all has seemed great for 2 weeks. However today for the first time i tried to purchase a book from the shop and all it will say is processing. Is this normal after rooting or have i done something wrong/not done something? Will i not be able to purchase from the BN shop?

I had that same problem before rooting. Try powering your nc off and then back on and see if that fixes the problem. I am able to purchase books through BN on my rooted nc.
It is more than likely an issue with your barnes and noble account, not your NOOK. Log into the B&N website, go to "My NOOK Library", and see what it says for those books. It probably just didn't like your payment method.
Well looks like you were totally right. Rebooted and made sure i wasn't charged for the book already. I waited a few hours to make sure there wasn't a posting then tried buying it again and it downloaded.

I was having this problem as well and the book wouldn't download until i set the nook home as default and then reboot.

Just got home from Best Buy and spent some of my Xmas money on a nook color. My device came with 1.0.0 should I upgrade it b4 I root or after, thanks in advance.
Read the thread in the development forum and/or nookdevs.
Update to 1.0.1, activate on BN if you want to download books from BN then do the nooting. Read the threads and wiki.
Upgrade and crate all needed acconts before rooting imho.

Lately i have been experiencing keybooard errors as the titell/ suggests. As you Canon see the keyboard n my noopk enters random characters. It acts like it is possesseod. Sometimes I can alleviate the problem by resetting the nook. I've tried several different keyboards with no success.
It appears to start after about 30sec after boot.
Suggestions?

This is my second nook and does not do what you are describing but the first one I had did this but only when plugged in. I think they fixed the problem with the newer nooks.

Two things I would suggest:
1) clean the screen. try to get in the space under the bezel as well a bit, sometimes gunk on the screen can cause odd errors
2) go through a re-calibration of the screen as well: http://nookdevs.com/Recalibrate_the_NookColor_touch_screen
My NC did this exact same thing when I first powerd it up on that glorious christmas morning. My wifes on the other hand did not have this problem at all.
I did a quick off/on and never had this problem again. To me it just seemed like a "hiccup" between the hardware and software. But then again my problem was easily fixed and may be different form the next...

it is unplugged
Recently, at times, my Nook stopped charging via wall and USB. When its plugged in, charging or not, the entire device is very jumpy and sporatic. Any ideas? Its stock, but rooted.

I think I may have solved the charging issue by clearing the USB port out with an unplugged USB cable. I swear, the Nook cable is the death of this device. I still get the touchscreen wigging out while charging though.

Yeah the touch screen freeking out while charging is a known issue. It happens on mine. Though, there are reports that it may be the charger it self. I remember a post a week or so back where someone said that they warranty returned their charger and then the screen issues were fixed. I wonder if b&n changed it's hardware. If it's a make-or-break issue for you, you may want to try that.

Mine stop charging a little while ago too. The only way to charge it is to turn it off. Not a huge inconvenience, but if anyone has ideas on why this is it would be appreciated.
Currently im running CM7, but the issue started when I was stock and rooted.

The same thing happened to me after Auton00tering it. I was too lazy to re-root so I just lived with it. After a week or so it started charging again on it's own.
On their official website, they have put "coming soon" for 5 months!!!
5 Months is not SOON to me.. I become impatient. They produce quality articles and I read them. But now they strongly discriminated android against ipad, I blame them.
Anyone knows third party apps that can get a good read on The Economist?
I know one way, which is to buy Amazon Kindle version and read it on Kindle for Honeycomb on my xoom.
That's not the best way though, indirect and PRICY! Any comments will be helpful!
In the past 5 months Android has gone through quite a few changes. Wouldn't be suprised if that is the hold up.

You can get to The Economist through Kindle but you have to pay for it even if you have a suscription. If I remember it is quite expensive and you don't get access to their online only articles. Still worth checking out.

You can't. Google can't allow rooted devices use their renting services on the off chance someone devs an app that can save it indefinitely to your phone. Kinda sucks, specially when they don't tell you till after u rent it, but I understand the licencing issues that they might have had with their providers.

Ya I had to try it also when it first came out. So I rented it and paid for it but couldn't watch it on my phone. So I opened up the marketplace on the PC at work, signed in, and was able to watch the movie at work via the PC. So at least I watched it and didn't just get screwed out of my money. Ya I thought it was gonna work too, it SHOULD say it wont play on rooted phones BEFORE you pay for it. But oh well. So watch it on your PC since you already paid for it.
