Must Have Apps? - G Tablet Themes and Apps

Tell me your must have apps (apps, Games, Widgets, Wallpapers, etc.)

Airhid
Xscope
Es task manager
Root explorer
Launcher pro
weather channel widget
Moon phase widget
Bluegps
Vegan rom
loopback file system
Adfree
angry birds
Steam birds
Spagetti and marshmallows
Tank hero
Wifi analyzer
Gtech net tools
Too many to list but if you get all that working you have a rocking tab.
I installed vegan on top of tnt light, need to wipe but things run smooth enough... amazingly fast with xscope and the loopback mod.

Thanks....
Hey.. How did you get Tank Hero? Cant find it in the Market.
Thanks

Quake III!
Google Kwaak3 for details. Fun to put together and run on Vegan 5.

The weirdest thing is market was horked after adding the loop file system at that time I was running tnt, so with nothing to lose I installed vegan. Now I have much more market but there is no telling how much I am missing. Last time I searched TV.com I had 15 results now I get two. Lots of the trouble is probably Google.

No guarantees, but I've been messing with market, and I just got tank hero. I used Titanium backup and cleared data for market then for googleservicesframework, then started market, and bam. It was there!
Again, no guarantees!
Jim

It was frustrating me so I modified the build.prop and changed the fingerprint to the galaxy tab. Now I have tank heros. Lost tv.com but seem to have much more. I also noticed that some games are fitting the screen better.the biggest benefit I see I don't get the retry any more.

Have you figured out a way to control the game on the g-tab? I'm in-game, but all I can do is look around (no keyboard=no WASD to move). Thanks!

I'm using wii remote with nunchuck controller. I suppose you could use a usb or bluetooth keyboard and mouse though. The wii controls take a little getting used to, but the game runs really well and shows off open gl on the nvidia chip!

Thanks BitBanger! Using the wii controller is a great idea. Although I will admit that I was hoping someone had created a touchscreen overlay for kwaakk3!

I did a search for a master games thread but found nothing so I thought I would reply here. I just picked mine up yesterday and have been looking for some games for it. Besides Angry Birds ive found that Krazy Kart v1.2.7 works perfectly (full screen, looks great!) with the touch screen controls, but tilt controls are way off. Anyone know of any others that work? I wanted to buy NOVA HD but without a phone number on the Gameloft website it seems not possible.

Are you saying that angry birds does work? When I did a market fix it finally showed up but failed install on me. Is that full screen?
Both Angry Birds and Angry Birds seasons work on mine, running TNT-Lite 2.2.1.
Angry Birds and Pocket God both work fullscreen. Pocket God starts upside down, but just have to flip the tab over. Screen looks better from that side anyways
It wasn't working for me before, but as of 5 minutes ago I got it working on VEGAn
I now have
Working
Raging Thunder 2
Hawx 3.2.8
Not working
Asphalt5 v3.2.2 (not full screena dn has has the 90 degree accelerator issue)
Here are a couple more that work:
Tank Recon 3D
Touch Racing Nitro
Archer
Radiant HD

Hi res graphics, super smooth (like 60fps+)
Pool Break Pro works well, a few minor graphical glitches.
Is there a fix for the accelerometer being off 90 degrees on some games? I'm still running stock, rooted.

Hmm... It "works" for me, but doesn't draw correctly. The tower build stacks are drawn in the middle of the playfield, making it somewhat difficult to play.
Are you seeing something different? Oh, btw, I'm running VeganB3.

MUST HAVE apps for Nookie Froyo???

Suggestions? Oh! And what is the best way to watch movies? She is going on a business trip and I Promised to put some movies on it for her.
Just installed on my wife's NC. Very excited!
My favorite app currently is Firefox. To get movies to play on the NC, the best path is to re-encode with Handbrake.
i like Rock Player for movies.
as far as apps:
Cache Cleaner NG
Dropbox
Gmail
Last.FM
PowerAmp
Maps
Market
Pulse
NY Times
Root Explorer and/or Astro
SetCPU
Titanium Backup
XDA
TuneIn Radio

DroidEmu

cool games:
Angry Birds
Game Dev Story
Fruit Ninja
PES 2011
Modern Combat 2
Dungeon Defenders
Slice It
Transformers G1
Age of Conquest
Wheel of Fortune
X-Construct
If you miss the 'Back' or 'Menu' button's then Button Saviour is great. Also found that SetCpu (with Dalingrin's 1.1 MHz OC) are must haves. This should make video quality better as well.

Idea from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=889951 point #7
TunIn radio would be nice but it isnt shiwing up in the market for me...
also, how do i load movies on this? I tried but it said there was not enough room. Where is the nookie froyo guide anyway?!?
Oh! And i changed the wp to a live wp just to see how they looked. Want to go back to the droid in the rain but its nowhere to be found. Bullocks!
Rock player lite paired with Gmote 2.0 allows me to stream all my movies from my server on the Nook. Won't work beyond my home network obviously, but still cool.

[Q] Nesoid Working, but no other emulators

I have Nesoid, Gameboid, GBCoid, Gensoid, and SNesoid on my NC, and only Nesoid will work. I have tried both off and on in "Compatability Mode" in Spare Parts, and they still won't work. It tries to open, waits 30 seconds, and says that the program is not responding. I copied the exact same files to my Incredible, and everything work there. I am running cyanogen 7 stable. Is there something I am missing? I have searched the forums and there doesn't seem to be a "how to" regarding emulators, unless it is so easy, there doesn't need to be one.
Running CM7, Nesoid, snes and n64oid all seem to work here. Using the 1.1 oc kernel.
Let me know if there is a particular setting you want me to check.

Did you have to adjust anything in spare parts? Maybe it is the specific ROMs I am trying to run. Everything installed just fine, but it refuses to run any of the ROMs. I have tried a half dozen and only the Nesoid ROMs will work.
I run gameboid with no issues using wiimote over bluetooth for control.
I actually bought nesoid and gameboid.

I got my wiimote working with no problems. Where are you getting the ROMs from? I used Romhustler, but maybe that is why it isn't working.
And I torrented all my emulators. Maybe I need to find something more current.
I am using ROM buddy to gather my roms. I didn't change any settings.
On a side note, are you guys actually using a Wii remote to play the games?

Yeah, it is pretty easy. Just make sure you have an actual wiimote. Originally I bought a knock off and it did not work. When I purchased an official wiimote, I got bluetooth running and used Wiimote Control to pair it (you are unable to pair in bluetooth settings, it asks for a password).

For playing video, try MX video & Meridian, both free, between them your should be able to play just about anything.
For music, there's iheart radio, and of course, Pandora. There's plenty more in Market, do a search. I have a lot of my music on my TP so I don't use them much.
Do a search for keyboards in Market, you'll find a lot of options.
I oc mine with master cpu @ 384 min and 1.7 max, in Android.
I assume that you have webos tweaked, preware installed, etc
Most Gameloft games are on sale, go to Market and check them out.
Search Market and you should be able to find most of what you've looking for.

My suggestions:
printer: Samsung printer app - works well if you have a samsung printer.
keyboard: I like SlideIt. Swiftkey X is also excellent on a phone, I do not have experience for the Tablet version
Overclocker: My choice is SetCPU, another option is No Frills CPU
weather app: beautiful widgets has also a weather widget, or weather.com there are numerous else in the market.
file transfers over lan.. : Airdroid is quite good, else look for an ftp server (e.g. swift ftp)
m.getjar.com has some nice Apps and games in their gold apps section, which are released really for free. They are worth a look!
For remote printing I use PrinterShare Mobile Print by Dynamix USA, LLC. It is a paid app, I got it for free and it works well most of the time. The printer must truly be a network printer, as far as I can tell there is no way to access a printer hooked up to a pc that can be normally be used as a network printer on other systems.
For lan filesharing if you have windows or samba (smb) shares set up I reccommend Samba Filesharing by funkyFresh. It is free. It basically sets up your sdcard directory to be a network share.

Thanks bro. Yup...al money is going towards two touchpads. You've raised our savings to $135 of the $460 needed. I'm kicking in money Friday and one of the devs is kicking in some too next week. At this rate we will be set and wont need anymore touchpads for the devs...whew...
