I have Nesoid, Gameboid, GBCoid, Gensoid, and SNesoid on my NC, and only Nesoid will work. I have tried both off and on in "Compatability Mode" in Spare Parts, and they still won't work. It tries to open, waits 30 seconds, and says that the program is not responding. I copied the exact same files to my Incredible, and everything work there. I am running cyanogen 7 stable. Is there something I am missing? I have searched the forums and there doesn't seem to be a "how to" regarding emulators, unless it is so easy, there doesn't need to be one.
Running CM7, Nesoid, snes and n64oid all seem to work here. Using the 1.1 oc kernel.
Let me know if there is a particular setting you want me to check.

Did you have to adjust anything in spare parts? Maybe it is the specific ROMs I am trying to run. Everything installed just fine, but it refuses to run any of the ROMs. I have tried a half dozen and only the Nesoid ROMs will work.
I run gameboid with no issues using wiimote over bluetooth for control.
I actually bought nesoid and gameboid.

I got my wiimote working with no problems. Where are you getting the ROMs from? I used Romhustler, but maybe that is why it isn't working.
And I torrented all my emulators. Maybe I need to find something more current.
I am using ROM buddy to gather my roms. I didn't change any settings.
On a side note, are you guys actually using a Wii remote to play the games?

Yeah, it is pretty easy. Just make sure you have an actual wiimote. Originally I bought a knock off and it did not work. When I purchased an official wiimote, I got bluetooth running and used Wiimote Control to pair it (you are unable to pair in bluetooth settings, it asks for a password).

Quake III!
Google Kwaak3 for details. Fun to put together and run on Vegan 5.
The weirdest thing is market was horked after adding the loop file system at that time I was running tnt, so with nothing to lose I installed vegan. Now I have much more market but there is no telling how much I am missing. Last time I searched TV.com I had 15 results now I get two. Lots of the trouble is probably Google.

No guarantees, but I've been messing with market, and I just got tank hero. I used Titanium backup and cleared data for market then for googleservicesframework, then started market, and bam. It was there!
Again, no guarantees!
Jim
It was frustrating me so I modified the build.prop and changed the fingerprint to the galaxy tab. Now I have tank heros. Lost tv.com but seem to have much more. I also noticed that some games are fitting the screen better.the biggest benefit I see I don't get the retry any more.

Have you figured out a way to control the game on the g-tab? I'm in-game, but all I can do is look around (no keyboard=no WASD to move). Thanks!

I'm using wii remote with nunchuck controller. I suppose you could use a usb or bluetooth keyboard and mouse though. The wii controls take a little getting used to, but the game runs really well and shows off open gl on the nvidia chip!

Thanks BitBanger! Using the wii controller is a great idea. Although I will admit that I was hoping someone had created a touchscreen overlay for kwaakk3!
I keep getting the error "information about your device cannot be retrieved due to unstable platform ". Then I have to hit the forceclose button. The thing is that I can see thegame running fine in the background. I don't understand this.

**edit** it also says "(According to your device, you may need to restart the application multiple.)"
What the hell is the Application Multiple??????
Hopefully someone will figure out a way to get this to work on the g tablet. It plays fine on my rooted nook color.
It even plays great on my lil Aria

Just to add to the list of confusion, another game, Live Hold'em Pro does a similar thing. It loads up, the splash scrreens work fine, but as the main screen of the game is about to comeup, I get the force close window. The funny part is how I see the game working in the background!

Homerun 3D was working perfectly before I repartitioned my drive. I have the same problem with it not working now and other games like Reckless Racing don't work either. Both worked perfectly before the repartition (2048/0)....any ideas?

Don't mean to bump an old thread but wanted to know if a solution was found
Works fine for me on calkulins Tom. I want to say that is one of the apps I restored via titanium from my Droid backup though
Cant get it to work on BC
Works fine for me on Vegan GE 7.0.0 Stable RC1.
This is just a guess, but it may have something to do with HR3D trying to get some kind of device information from build.prop on what platform it is running on.
As more background info, I had this app working fine on Vegan 7 GingerEdition, and it works fine on VeganTab 5.1.1 Froyo.
I loaded AOSP Ginger with HC elements...modified build.prop with Sprint info to get some more market apps, and then restored HR3D and I've had this same message ever since...
I just haven't had time to play around with it quite yet, but I'm guessing that replacing the build.prop might get this thing working...
I would love to be able to play vs mode with my gtablet. I am running deck's 2.3.4 for gtablet. the game runs fine just no vs mode. Someone has to know how to get it to work.
Another suggestion if that's ok?
I had remembered that with the IOS vers. of the SNES emulator, that you could use you're iPod touch or iPhone as the controller.
Anyone know of any way to do that with an android phone? ie: use my android phone as a bluetooth gamepad to play emulators with.
I have searched google the past few days and have only seen the Wiimote apk. While that does work, it just seems more convenient to have a phone that is already with you able to do it, that and it only has a limited number of buttons.
Anyone else share the interest? Thanks! =)
+1 to this
I would definitely be interested in this as well, using your phone as the remote would be killer and extremely convenient!
That would be pretty cool. I hope someone develops something.
Yeah it would.
one up for this!
does a project like this exist (even under development) ? i just googled for an hour but i could not find anything useful.
Something that maps wifi signals from my phone to key press on my pc would be great to use with emulators
//edit
hehe... just after posting i found something
http://code.google.com/p/agamepad/
sadly its not under active development
oh and could somebody please move this thread to a more general android section? i just found it via google and then realized its in the xoom forums (where it does not belong imo)
This would be really cool.
Neat idea to contribute: Make it skinnable. So, you could maybe lay it out like the controller of whatever you're playing. (When using Nesoid, you could use an NES controller skin, when using Snesoid, you could use an SNES controller skin, etc.)
I'm more interested in using my phone as a bluetooth keyboard, but I suppose that could be part of it.
I have been looking for an app that will make my android phone into a remote control. I want to have my Xoom connected to my tv and use my phone to control the various media players that I use..
about android phone into gamepad/ keyboard
Hi, do have any news about this apps now? THANKS
try this
i use unified remote<full version> on a daily basis. it is my portable blue-tooth keyboard, media remote, mouse, etc... i even use it on my laptop. it comes with alot of preloaded remotes for various setups.i have never done it, but it does have a custom settings menu to make your own remote setup.. idk if this can control games, but as far as everything else, hellz yeah.
This is a great idea, skinnable would definitely be hot. Of course I got my PS3 controller working on my Xoom already....
I don't wanna root my device just to use my PS3 controller and I also dont have a OTG cable Im getting one in Nov though
well, i was looking for something like that as well. for weeks, but i found something great here at xda-developers its called "blueputdroid" https://market.android.com/details?id=berserker.android.apps.blueputdroid and its doing a great job even if the gamepad does not work this good .. but 4 example the psx4droid emulator made it possible to control via this app. its just need to be configured correctly.
oh thanks`, But "blueputdroid" is not suppot for my darky v10.2 Rom _ _!! and i also find some as similar as it " droidmote client" but it's support through WIFI only...
you can use DroidMote Server / Client in the android market.
look this video and search for other:

I'm not a great player and I am very tired after having developed a lot but this is a small example of the new features:

Hi mate ...
Bt Controller does the job beautifully ... free in the market
'https://market.android.com/details?id=droidbean.btcontroller'
Any one use this on the nook color? Anyone with MLB.tv subscriptions? I use it on my evo with a mlb.tv subscription and its awesome. But when i use it on my nook i cant get video. It says it requires android 2.2 and flash...which i have on my nook. Anyone else have the same problem?
I was wondering about this app too. I just have a free month trial of mlb.tv and was thinkin about tryin out at bat 11. Have u used the gameday audio on the NC? How is that? Don't want to spend the money if the gameday audio isn't working very good on the NC.
It's good, I have it on my DROID2 and my NC. Can't get video on NC yet. Have switched the build.prop to Verizon Galaxy Tablet and still nothing.
but gameday audio works well?
yes, on wifi works perfect, 3G even with full bars its sometimes flaky.
is that wifi on the NC?
yes it does work well on nook color

Where did you get it. It's not showing up in the Market for me, this includes my Apps because I paid for it on my evo. The link from app brain takes me the market but says it can't be found. The apk version on the SD won't install. When replying dumb it down for me. I'm pretty good with tech stuff but I'm not on the true geek level. It look me a while to figure out how to flash it.
I'm running CM7 with tab tweaks, and it shows up. I was running froyo and it didn't show up.
Has anyone gotten the touch profiles to work with the Xoom? I can connect my sixaxis controller just fine, but touch profiles don't seem to work at all. I have created a profile, selected the profile, and set sixaxis controller as input device. I've tried it in games and touch test, but nothing at all. Any ideas?
Oh, and I've tried in both ICS and Honeycomb ROM's.
same here also on a motorola device ... mine is the motorola triumph ... i tried maping the keys through input mapping ... i succeeded until i got to the analog sticks ...everything else works ... reload, shoot, aim, switch weapons etc ... any idea on wut we should do ??
Same problem here. I can play with games that have key mapping, like Shadowgun. But not games that require touch mapping like backstab, mc3, ect.
.................bump?
Was'nt this a problem of a pervious version?
Since last update touch-profiles are working fine on my Xoom 3G (MZ601).
wut version r you using ??
Since yesterday I'm using version 0.4.0 (newest version from market) - and all seems fine... only function I miss is to emulate the g-sensor (and disable the real g-sensor) to get it working with NFS Hot Pursuit...
Can someone tell me how to get the buttons to work oxΔ#, start ,select. I can move but can't use the buttons
sixaxis help
This thread --> Sixaxis controller is here! <-- was started by the author of the Sixaxis app. He's really helpful and responded to me fairly quickly on here. I'm sure you could email for assistance also.
Also, where in Shadowgun is the gamepad support? It must be blatantly obvious because I can find it anywhere within the game.
I had this problem too when i went to ICS, but after updating from the market everything is fine

Thanks, I looked at this thread but could't tell if this was an app or the xoom could support the controller natively. Thanks
