Is there anyway to port over the iphone app for this to our phones? I'm doing this workout and think out would be really handy to have on my phone!
Cheers!

You would have to ask the developer of the application to port it

There are actually two alternatives in the android market now:
Spartacus Workout (BETA) (free)
and
Spartacus Workout 2.0 (1.84$)
Which I am the developer of. I think the free one is good for beginners that dont know the workout by heart (detailed exercise descriptions for each exercise.) But then I would argue that mine has an advantage for people who already know how to do the exercises. You can check out my description!
I'm very happy for any feedback. And if you do download it, and would like a refund, just refer to this thread, and i will return your money

Thank you for the heads up! I haven't been able to do this for a while because my back and sciatic nerve have been acting up. Hopefully I can get back to it soon!
i've been doing it myself for some weeks now, still kicks my ass
hope your back heals up soon!
There is a men's health workout app that has this workout and tons of others. It is an awesome app, I can't remember how much it cost, bit whatever it was, it was worth it.

I just saw this game on another site and decided to give it a try since it's free. I've been want Words With Friends or a decent clone for awhile. Wordwise Pro just doesn't fit the bill. So far WordFeud is great given it's really new.
http://wordfeud.com/
PS: I'm not getting paid to promote this. It's just really fun and I'd though I'd share.
Add me if you want to play. My ID is Snapshotx
Awesome! I have been looking for something like this. Thanks so much. Just started playing you, username is Foobu.
Thanks for the recommendation! I have been missing "Words with Friends"
Anyone can add me for a game as well. My ID is dweebs0r.
wioooow this is the most exciting day I have ever had work my captivate, please people just uninstall word wize loool, that's is it,this is actually better than words with friends, all it needs is sounds, and an option to pay for a add free version, if they make this a cross platform words with friends is going to be yesterdays news
The reason I want words with friends is so that I can play with my fiancee on her iPhone.
tell get to get a android then you can be reunited with word feud again lol
Having alot of problems staying connected

Been playing it with my coworker since this morning, lol... Btw, is there a way to resign even if it's not your turn yet?
yes, this is MUCH better than WordWize - almost exactly like WWF.... if anyone is up for a game, feel free to invite me: Aftashok is the name.
man I used to LOVE words with friends on my iPhone. Thanks so much for sharing this!!!
If anyone wants to play just add: smeltn
i wish the game would incorporate a ratings system and win/loss records..... the competitive me wishes for such things.
Wish there was at least a paid version to get rid of ads, hopefully that will come cause i dont mind paying a dollar to support the developer on this, pretty good so far and the people over at WWF probably wont release anything for a while. Thought that games that were won/lost didnt go away but apparently they do after 2 days, needs to be sooner than that or user removable.
Name: hollaholla
Sweet!
Mine is TexUS.
It'd be nice if WWF would show up on here though so I can play with iPhone people.
This game uses a lot of data, like 1MB in 1 Minute.
Is there anyway to stop it from using data when you're not in a WiFi area?
thanks for the heads up...
awesome game...
PS: not to thread-jack, but has anyone found a good boggle clone out there... with randomly oriented letters like the real game?

check out wordup. it's a "boggle-like" game.
on topic, word feud is fun. checking out how much batt. it takes with the push notification and multiple games. add me for games: funthony.
I gave this a try a few weeks ago, after using WordWise for 2 months...and I wasn't a big fan. The lack of a paid version, updates, and stat tracking was kind of a deal breaker.
WordWise was admittedly spartan when it first came out...but the developer updates the app fairly regularly, so I think I'mma stick with that one...until it gets abandoned or WordFeud updates. Heh.
OK so just been on endgagdet and watched handcranking guy charge his phone. Ok, this is a brilliant idea, but he gets way to excited to me giving away his lack of female company lol. My suggestion to him is patent it! Sell it to the Chinese and buy a mail order bride... yay!

nice way to kill the phone and battery by over-under and non-standard voltages
One of our own made it into Round 2 of the Google IO challenge! Developer teleknEsis had this to say about it...
The first round was just 6 obscure Android questions that we had to answer in 30 minutes. Top 200 people went on to round 2.
Round 2 was to create an Android version of the HTML5 countdown clock on the homepage of the google io site. They changed up the site today for St Pattie's day and changed the bouncing colored balls to floating 4-leaf clovers, but it's still the same concept more or less. We had about 20 hours to do it (although less for me b/c I had to wait to get off work)
So I created an app for Android that has little bouncy Androids instead of colored balls.

And a little about himself..
Finally made the transition to full-time Android developer about a month ago. Spent the previous couple years playing around with Android and last 6 months staying up all night coding pet projects. It's good to feel as though I have 'arrived'.

HERE'S a little more about the contest itself. I'm sure everyone will join me in congratulating teleknEsis and wishing him luck in the future. Hopefully he'll be able to update us with his progress here.
Thanks.
Thanks for letting us know and good luck to our XDA Dev!!
Good Luck! I hope He wins.

Thanks!!
Thanks guys, I definitely appreciate the support! I don't think I'm going to find out if I won until April 4th but until then I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
If anyone would like to test the app I submitted send me a PM and I'll send you a link to download, and in the mean time I will let you guys know if I hear anything!
Please keep us updated!
And if you want to make your app free public in XDA I can write an article about it.
Let me know via PM
Good luck!
Congratulations for getti this far dude! Hope you win!

A not so happy ending...
Well, I'm sad to announce I was not one of the top 10 Android winners
It seems they gave a lot of credit to final app size (even tho mine was still 20 kb) and a few of the people used some tools to shrink the final apk. Once I found out about this I did it to my apk as well and was on par with their size (11 kb).
It's disappointing, but at the same time, I'm still incredibly happy how things turned out. I was w/in the top 38 people who competed and that in and of itself is something to be proud of.
I also learned a TON from this challenge because prior to it I had never done custom animations or even worked with the Canvas class - both of which I can say I'm very comfortable with now. So in only 9 hours I learned how to do custom animations and created an awesome app - AMAZING!
So, long story short, while I may not have won, I'm still holding my head up high and there's always next time.
I did, however, turn my submission into a live wallpaper and made it the system clock rather than a countdown clock. I stuck it on the market for $0.99 so who knows, if it sells like hot cakes then maybe I will have enough $$ to buy an I/O ticket on eBay.
So.... what are you waiting for?! Go buy my app and check it out!!!

This is a port of the iPhone and Android app BreakSpeed for WP7. It was just approved earlier this evening for the marketplace. Want to know how fast your break is? Use this app to find out! Grab it in the marketplace here.
"Break Speed is more than 10x the accuracy of a radar gun and is quickly becoming the standard for break shot speed measurements, privately and professionally."
I'd love to hear what anyone thinks about it! Unfortunately there's no trial; we discovered on the other platforms that providing a trial for an app of this nature usually means that people won't ever buy it. The fact that WP7 trials are unlimited is a bit unfortunate for us.
Anyway, it's worth it and costs just a fraction of a radar gun, which you would normally need to get this kind of live information while playing. If you're a pool fan, definitely give this a spin!
Thanks for reading!
Glad this is now on WP7
Really nice, been waiting for this .
Sorry, no paid games allowed.
Ok so Christmas is sneaking up on me and I'm thinking of getting my son (almost 3) one of these cheap android tabs. I was thinking of the innotab or leap pad but for its price i feel an android tab would do so much more and would be something he wouldn't grow out of in 6 months time.
So does any one on here know any good child mode apps i could use if i get him one? I wouldn't want him destroying the tab by changing all the settings and buying apps and sending emails to people etc.
I'd like an app that would boot into kids mode upon start up and that would be easy for him to access basic things like games and camera and coloring apps etc etc..and ideally a function where i could monitor his usage and see his progress in games and drawing...
Please help
Ps: for the people that think I'm mad, i am. Don't judge me for giving him a tab. I won't get an expensive one and even if i did, it's my money so no criticism please!

You can't just use any one of the several "kiddy" launchers already in the market?
It took me 3 seconds to find this one with many more available.
Must resist urge to criticize!!.....
Can't help it!! Guy, he is barely three!!! Get him tonka truck or legos!! If he is anything like my three year old, he will have more fun with the box it came with then the tablet.

+1 Why can't people let kids grow up at a normal speed, rather than trying to magically make them become a geek by the time they're 5? Kids spend far too long staring at television as they grow up, give him something that will get his imagination working and get him outside in fresh air.
Yeah ive seen one i like the look of called kytephone. I found that one here on xda.
I was mainly after opinions on what people use for their child. And what they liked about it.
And although he's only 3 he's very clever like his daddy lol and it will hopefully stop him using my note.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Edit: this thread isn't going as i hoped. I will not stick him in front of the tv all day nor will he have access to this tab 24/7.
We do play outside, we do have fun that don't involve technology so what's the harm in him earning an hour or two tab time?
I'm after advice not criticism so can we get back on topic or shall i close the thread?
Thanks
You should probably get him something like this.
Additional link here.
Cheap and has toddlers in mind with it's design.

Children need to play outside and socialize. Its only going to do them good in the long run.
There is a kid's Nabi Android Tablet in the Bestbuy Flyer in the Black Fiday Thread.

I agree with the earlier thread.....
I just bought all 4 of my kids the nabi2. It is sporting tegra3 processor etc..... very rugged. $199. I even play games on it. Extremely easy to root. My oldest is 14. He even likes it. Mainly because he doesn't have to worry about breaking it.
It has nabi mode. In it you control content etc.... and "mommy mode" is just your basic ICS.
Check it out.
Thanks for the replies guys!
As for the haters, yes he will be in nursery, yes he will play out side, i don't lock him in his room and feed him through a hatch!
He's 3, he's clever and if he behaves he earns a reward which will be playing on the tab. It's my money, my child, my house and my rules.
